- Hello GDAE pickers! Here are some tips for jamming over an A minor chord. Let's focus on the chord tones and add some passing notes from the C Major scale. Please subscribe for more tenor guitar lessons. This lesson is based on an article written by David Grisman decades ago entitled (something like) "Breaking up is Good To Do." He recommended focusing on playing the chord tones, instead of playing consecutive notes from a scale. In Am, this means we will concentrate on the A, C, and E notes. Let's keep practicing!
