The owner of the S500 is punching the air right now. Randy called out the bait and switch. That car shouldn’t sell for S63/S65 prices.
What finance professional didn't see this coming two years ago? Today, even 700 credit gets you 7 to 8 percent; the only place you'll find 1.9/2.9 again is heavily subsidized by the manufacturer only on cars it wants to move. You'd think with all these repos, there would be downward pressure on used car prices but you'd be wrong. Not only that, the expensive ones aren't really bargains because the people who had them could barely afford them and didn't do the maintenance. A good used car at 4/5 years old costs almost as much as a new one.
That Lexus SC is a beauty. Very rare to find one today. I like how it has the classic Japanese wood cover design for radio controls and media screen. Also the 4.3L V8 engine is a killer for a compact size convertible. I believe the Lexus SC was also Taylor Swift's first car.
$5,700 for the SC430 would be an insane deal. I bought a rebuilt, odo rolled back SC430 that didn't show the timing belt was replaced for $5,000 and still made money off it because every nice one around here is over $10,000. I would love to have that one
That’s a good deal on the SC but it will probably require a few grand easily within the 1st year to fix all the little things that do go wrong with them. I am sure it would be a lot more $ on a German convertible.
I’ve had to replace the control arms twice. I moved from FL to California so I can’t get the previous mechanics to cover their original work. Also replaced 02 sensors, headlight leveling sensors, and HVAC vent actuator.

One of the complaints about AMG selling out to Benz is that you can get an AMG sport/appearance package now- diluting the brand. Add on people who will "Do it up," to make lower end Benzes look upper scale...
The Lexus body reminded me of the infinity Q35. I did like the ford F-150 despite the hell damage.

That Lexus may be dated but it will out last that Mercedes any day of the week. Very nice clean car would make a great daily driver for little money that would last for years

The SC has a smallish 4.3L V8 and can do 0-60 in about 6 seconds which was really fast when it came out and not too bad even now. This car will become a collectible as more and more of these are getting totaled. I think it’s a great deal at $5,700. I got mine for $9k in Florida with a lot more miles.
Make a bid on the Lexus... it will be fun to watch you fix it up. On the AMG, put a low bid on and take it back to stock...

I this the little red 430 would be a great car for your daughter, looks to be I. Great condition.
What that is. You thread it on to where the lug nut goes and it helps hold the tire while you remove the rest of the lug studs on a Benz. Just as important as a tow hook!
Interesting finds Randy....the Benz S-class will bring backs lots of memories and these cars are good to drive 🚗 SC430 is another good one to buy 🎉😂
The Lexus would be a great buy at 2.5-3k to flip. The GLC43 is a biturbo V6, the M276. That's the 6 cylinder little brother to the M278 that your W222 S550 has. All 63/65 trim Benzes are AMG's... except the fake ones of course. As for the newer S for 80k+, I agree. Not worth the risk and it's not very exciting in terms of videos. If you got it for way under market it would be cool since you probably won't lose your shirt and then you'd have a cool video title.
Car market is gonna be a wild ride over the next couple years. 2018-2021 models were the recent glory years of incredible vehicles. I have a feeling we're going to see a lot of bland boring cars over the next several years. Mercedes barely makes models in V8's anymore.

The Lexus SC430 is a rare-ish car and finding one in that good of condition at that price is hard so I would honestly jump on that even if it's not the fastest car in the world. Also that twin-turbo Ford Taurus looks bad-ass.

07 S63 AMG is a naturally aspirated V8, that was the era when Mercedes nomenclature actually meant something (badge: engine capacity). Granted, that wasn't an AMG but it being naturally aspirated wasn't the giveaway.

We have a M-B E320 4Matic. In town, as low as 11 mpg. On the highway 25 mpg. It's a wonderful car, but being so thirsty takes the fun out of driving it.

The 2007 S-class only had 550, 600 and 65 AMG trims. No V8 AMG S-class in 2007. Your S63 AMG had the quad oval tips which is what came on the 63s.

Randy, first of all you should buy the sc 430, it's not that fast but it's nice and luxurious and in great shape and in your color,, Don't be a speed snob, it goes fast enough. Also in front and to the left of that car was a Chrysler 300C, it's was a really cool looking root beer color, with what looked like metal flake in it, it looked real cool and something I wish you would have shown. Nice walk around, I was doing some Impala research and found out for a couple of years you could get a V8 in the SS and also some of the Impala police cruiser pkg which were SS equipped. I'm thinking it was like- 2004-2006 that these were offered, check wiki. Anyway for some reason a big ol' frosty cold mug of root beer sounds good. 😀✌❤

That GLC43 AMG sounds like that because it's an AMG model with sport exhaust. There is a switch to open and close the exhaust valves. That was a nice car.
There wasxa Cadillac XTS you passed. That is the twin to the Chevy Impala. Has the same engine.

What I find is over priced is the 8.1 L v8 Suburban with low miles, one went for for $37k early spring. 8.1 was only offered 2001-06.

Have you tried greater Rockford auto auction? They might have a Chevy impala that you are looking for. I would be surprised if they don’t have it. Cause the type of cars people around here drive. We drive mostly cheaper cars that are somewhat reliable. I don’t know

That Lexus is very clean. Since it's a bit slow, what can you do to make it faster?
It does 0-60 in low 6 seconds and quarter mile in 14.7 sec @ 96 mph. It will still smoke most cars out on the road.

That s63is is not a real AMG. There is one S65 real listed near home and God is like new and superb. The real deal indeed. 615 HP V12 best. Love it

On the Merc. You can tell if it is AMG by the brake and gas pedals. There rubber with metal circles on them
