Yeah I almost fell out of my chair. I have been described as many things, but never optimistic. That being said I am not fatalistic either. Realistic is the term.
Optimistic because they search for realistic solutions. In mg experience ISTPs often think they are capable of overcoming the odds even in the toughest situations.
As an ISTP, I describe ISTP as a "referee" we can logically assess the situation so it is fair with out bias emotion. But we wouldn't want to be a player that has to bide to the rules but the one enforcing it or think we know enough about it to be right.

I just got a full ride scholarship in Network Engineering/Cybersecurity. One of my classes were about career building, teamwork, communication, and conflict resolution. The teacher gave us a full test I got ISTP and decided to look it up. You just about described me perfectly. I always fix things, I'm also a self taught Electrician and Programmer.
Bond is an ISTP? He seems so organized and clean cut. Also he is very good in social gatherings and comes off kinda extroverted. Not sure about him. I would have said Han Solo. lol. Btw, this lady is cute as hell. Great video.
