    As an ISTP tell me how many fellow ISTPs agree, when I do 'extreme' things it's like I do them purposely to get OUT of my head and into the now. Where the only thing that matters is quick reflexes and fast thought - not planning or ruminating.

      and also because if you dont get that idea or urge out you cant concentrate in doing something else and thats frustrating. like when i like a girl. i just want to tell her just to get it done with i somtimes even hope she says no. not to protect myself but to avoid being the one rejecting her few days later i guess that because of the cool head and always trying to understand things. once i decipher her may loose interest. i guess i will go look for istp girl who can understand my coolness, scarlett will do. i really like her and for few weeks now her page doesnt disapear in my facebook home page...

      I just want to work on, what I want to work on, when I want to work on it. (lol)
      But seriously, this could anything from planting trees in the garden or coding on a project at my day job.
      I know I'm supposed to be doing X but I really just need to do Y first. I can't think straight on X until I do Y. It's like I can't commit to the context switch until Y is "finished" or tied up. Doesn't have to be the whole project but some specific step in the process.

      Yes, absolutely. Sometimes I’ll do something “risky” or “dangerous” just to feel alive and connected to reality. When not being physical engaged, my mind is running a million miles a minute. If too much time is spent within my mind predominately, I feel disconnected from reality.

      Do you also when doing extreme things plan the next obstacle/challenge whatever it is while still executing the current challenge/obstacle

    Tell me if you relate:
    I can be very serious, or at least appear so, to a point where people tell me to smile more.
    I can be spontaneous in social interaction and I will do random things for the sake of doing them, not to ‘get attention’ as some people may think.
    I am very sensitive to things which actually effect me and my emotions, despite my willingness and efforts to control my emotions.
    I am usually right, and I’m usually more intellectually advanced than others, in certain aspects, usually evident when I’m arguing, not always academics.
    I am very chilled and laid back, and even as an introvert I still enjoy going out, with friends or family I’m comfortable with.
    I tend not to stress about small and irrelevant things that others may be concerned about because most if not all the time it doesn’t actually matter.
    I’m inside my own head a lot of the time, and try my best to not overthink social situations and fit in without being awkward.
    I tend to be funny to a lot of people without trying to hard, but maybe that’s just me.

      Istp’s are into sports usually because it combines three things we seek out: understanding of the big picture mechanics, perfecting a craft and executing, and in-the-moment thinking and reacting which gets our minds off things and out of our heads. Do we all like organized sports? Nope. Do we all like extreme activities like skydiving? No. But we all have the desire to execute those three things at some level: paintball, driving fast, white water rafting, even verbal reacting like debating for the sake of debating, hacking into something without getting caught, battle of the wits. Anything that require quick reaction and finely honed skills.

    I'm an ISTP. I have to learn something and it's every detail. I remain calm under most situations and can easily adapt and read someone. I also have fewer emotions then most as I see and can hide them extremely well. I feel as if I can easily adapt fake emotions but usually don't have one if not needed. I am usually saw as cold when people see me emotionless. If it also adds to the "warrior" statement, I am going to college extremely soon and aspire to be a homicidal detective or a criminologist. Planning is not a great idea for me, I just go with my quick reactions and my adaption skills.I have taken engineering and hate to speculate theories that only make somewhat possible sense. Im more of a reserved ISTP, looking at things not too far away, but close enough, giving myself as many options as possible.
    My downfall, is that I may not be able to find the best solution fast enough, since my decision making is clouded by fear of what might happen, or of the consequences of the "best option".
    I must learn that everything comes with a cost, but that eventually I will be able to get to where I want to be in life, even if my choices can hurt me.

      All istp’s have that trait of being non-committal. We don’t like to lock ourselves into one boring thing and if we make a mistake we like to be fluid enough to change it. The trick is to practice things until they become simple, or to enter into reactionary mode. If you’re going into something, plan your exit first or just remind yourself that nothing is permanent and that you’re very good on-the-fly.

    At the beginning of our friendship I sometimes got a bit too sensitive/ offended at something that was said to me, but soon understood that it was nothing personal.
    Now it’s something that I got to appreciate. It’s not fake and covered with pretty words. Also the ‘giving zero fuck’s what others think’ is really inspiring.

      Yeah, I had to learn to fake a large part of my personality to be successful in the professional world but since I stay withdrawn otherwise, the energy expenditure is sort of worth it. Otherwise female ISTPs are in a worse position than our male counterparts because our natural communication/expressions are interpreted more poorly coming from women because they run counter to societal standards. Also, I’m more into sewing than mechanics or woodworking; it’s still making tactile stuff (and using math for patterning) but for *some reason* no one ever uses it as an example of ISTP hobbies. I wonder why.

    I'm a female ISTP, and I don't really run into much conflict. However, that's because I avoid it. If it isn't really necessary for me to argue with someone, I just don't. However, I have gotten into a couple of major conflicts on ethical issues in relation to work, so it depends on what the conflict is about. I don't kiss ass. I do the stereotypical men's work. I love to design, to build, to understand how things work and all that. Everything from designing a bridge to wiring a house, to seeing and understanding the behaviors and personalities in a pack of dogs or a flock of goats. But I don't try to understand everything about everything, just the thing that I'm working on. So I'll learn exactly how to install the distributor and set up the timing in a car, but not even notice the thing that's sitting right next to the distributor. I have good reflexes and am not afraid of many things, but I've never been athletic, other than judo and swimming. I'm extremely independent. Most people say too much so, but that's how I am and I like it.

    My istp partner and I are having problems coming to a compromise about a relationship issue. He will sit and watch me be emotional over it and express myself and suggest solutions. He will give me lots of physical affection to make me feel better, but he doesn't really engage with what I'm saying. It's like I'm expressing thoughts and emotions about something that doesn't involve him - as though I'm describing something that is happening to me that doesn't require his participation. He usually just avoids or pulls away if he knows he has to say or do something, but this time he said "I feel really anxious". I felt so much empathy for him in that moment and I happily let him go and have his space. I thought it was a nice, soft conversation but he saw it as the opposite. He perplexes me but I absolutely adore him. I'm enfp.

    I recently took a MBTI test that labeled me an ISTP. After watching this video (as well a some other reading in this vein) I have to concede that the test was pretty accurate. Particularly in the realm of the terseness and blunt ness of social interaction. I tell everyone that gets to know me that any social interaction with me implies the acceptance of an unwritten disclaimer of "Ask all opinion and/or observational questions at your own risk. If you don't want the absolute truth (as I see it) then don't ask me."

  • @zzospreyzz55

    Have any other ISTP’s learned to compensate for their tendency to be terse and but get annoyed at themselves because they feel like they sugar coat and ramble but they don’t have to listen to the complaints anymore so they just continue the practice, when you have the energy?

      @nickm5647 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      zzospreyzz55 I was raised to be more polite and kind but my natural honest and blunt nature would shine through anyways while still retaining that sense of kindness. There are times that I did feel as I was sugar coating things and over explaining things though just to avoid stupid problems later on that could just mean more headaches, particularly with emotional people and I’ve had a good deal of luck and skill in doing that, even with people I naturally don’t get along with or mesh well with. I’ve learned to compensate for many tendencies though so I can produce as few issues for myself as possible though.

      Yes, absolutely. Being an istp with aspergers only exasperated the social ineptitude i struggled with. Took me years to develop an effective if not always accurate system to “fix” this. But the constant “better make sure im not misunderstood, better step lightly so as not to offend” nonsense gets veeeeerrrry draining and frustrating at times. Just let me speak plainly goddamnit.

    • @viboito
      @viboito 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      well, yes. I tend to sugar coat things bc I'm extremely introverted, wuth a family of extroverts, so I try to shorten conversations as much as I can, easiest way? agree with the person. If they ask for imput, you come with a soft aproach, one you wouldn't use, but is feasonable to the person you're talking, but then again you have to know and be confortable to said person. See it less than sugar coating things, and more as a way to coexist whith the people you care and love, bc most people are not as objective as you, taking feelings in considerations, where at least I have no idea on why feelings should even be considered, since it's all cause and consequence...

    • @kristenrafferty5520
      @kristenrafferty5520 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, especially as a female ISTP. I wasn't very popular in middle/high school because I said everything brutally honest. The initial solution was to become an extreme introvert and avoid people all together. But in college I learned I can talk to people, just need to be softer. At nearly 40 I've mastered these skills, especially with my high 'feeler' kids. What needs to be said in these videos is that despite our cold bluntness, something inside us also longs to be liked. We care a lot about what people think of us even if we act like we don't.

I greatly admire (and rely on, personally) the type's formidable strengths... an incredible and rare ability to cut through BS and to see the core of any "problem" they choose to spend their time/attention on and they do so quickly and efficiently. I can think about things for days, and still be pondering problems, while my spouse can observe, analyze, and (only if necessary) act within seconds (or so it feels to me).

    As an ISTP, I'd say 9/10 of the video describes me accurately. Definitely worlds apart from the INTP since I've never been good at brainstorming (Ne). I've always been good at hands-on stuff from driving a straight truck to working out with free weights. I use to be insecure about my terseness but I'm starting to embrace it now. The Se-Ni pair could explain why a lot of STPs (and some SFPs) are diagnosed with ADHD/ADD.
    Great video!

    • @TheZenThug
      @TheZenThug 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      To add to my comment, everything in this video makes so much sense. The part about the ISTP focusing on the framework of actual objects REALLY stood out for me. For example, weight loss. I did a steak and eggs diet for a bit until I realized the framework of the diet (object) which was high in protein and fat but low on carbs and that I can switch out the steak for lets say chicken or fish. Another example is how I learned about insulin and how it affects fat loss so I'm doing a low carb high fat diet (which works btw) and the fat is coming off.
      That's just one example of me MASTERING something and having a down-to-Earth understanding of how something works so I don't have to think about as I'm doing it. I "strike naturally"

      +TheZenThug can you explain more connection between Se-Ni and ADHD/ADD? Thanks

    • @TheZenThug
      @TheZenThug 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      People who have ADHD have problems with focusing their attention on things they're not interested in. And when they ARE focused, its on things they actually enjoy doing.
      The Se/Ni axis kinda works the same way as was described in the video. You're focused intensely on a topic until you're satisfied then move on to something else.......only to come back again to explore it from another angle. Make sense?

    • @dchomeimprovements
      @dchomeimprovements 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      it does, and I agree with you... This ADHAD/ADD is very wide topic...I have tendencies to space out , if I am not really into the stuff, what sometimes can get me thinking that something is wrong inside my head... :)
      Also I can see that you have experiment with insulin in your diet, so you probably knows how the sugar influence you. And this is more based on the body type and not personality, but if my sugar level goes down, my brain shuts down and go into zombie mode..
      Something for you to test if you have any of ADHAD issues

    i'm definitely an ISTP. just curious, do you other ISTPs find math really easy? like in class when we learn a new concept i always understand that as long as you know how to use the formula(s) and have basic equation and arithmetic skills, then all you need is simple logic and it's not hard at all. this thinking is a given for me and i'm wondering if other ISTPs relate to this because while i crush math, i know a lot of people who are introduced to a new topic and are just like wut.

Hockey, snowboarding/skiing, racing, paintball, mma/boxing, and careers like firefighting, police work, and military, and also tend to be a shoot first and ask questions never type of person. It was creepily accurate. I played hockey for 16 years. Love paintball, snowboarding, auto racing, and like mma. I plan on joining my local fire department after college and have also thought about joining the military. I mean, most types have to do some exploration but ISTPs are very, incredibly likely to test out as INT or INFJ or even ENTP way before they test as ISTP. But, here's how you really find out. Go watch Gran Torino. If you find Clint Eastwood to be a kind, fair and reasonable human being in it, you are probably ISTP. [INTP]
    This observation doesn't really fit anywhere else but I think it fits here.
    To anybody who is familiar with the smash bros melee community (by chance), a good example of an ISTP would be Weston Dennis, or Westballz. I am about 97% sure he's ISTP. So yo anybody who wants an example of what an ISTP might look like doing what they do this us a perfect example and explains the ISTP incredibly well, as long as supports the points discussed in this video perfectly. I'll briefly explain the game and then explain how the two videos I'll show explain how westballz is ISTP.
    Smash bros melee is a game in which small 2D fighters each have specific movesets- actions that can be performed to do damage in the form of a percent to another character. each time a character is hit, its percentage (or damage) rises and the character is sent flying away a certain distance at a speed based on how much percent they had when they were hit (and the move power). If a character flies too far and goes outside the area of the stage, they 'die'. The goal of the game is to 'kill' the other player faster than they kill you.
    melee was never intended for competitive play.
    However, after it was released, many players began to discover ways of utilizing the game that it was never intended for. Using these techniques is called tech skill. Melee's speed, fluidity, control, and to some degree, balance made it a popular competitive game. Although all top competitive players have top notch tech skill, there are still many advanced techniques that aren't widely used because of the incredible difficulty to actually input the commands do to timing and speed. some of these commands require sequences of actions that need to be performed within small time frames. one of these actions is called multishining, which can be performed by two characters. It requires button inputs at faster than 1/8 of a second.
    westballz, the ISTP, is known for performing these multishines consistently and using them effectively in tournament play. Few other top players use tech skill as seriously as westballz.
    This first video is an interview with Weston, probably right before a tournament.
    th-cam.com/video/Hji41g3U7lY/w-d-xo.html
    You can immediately notice his rather reserved nature, and see his Ti at work as he takes time to think through his answers. Of note however is when, near the later part of the video, he talks about how a new player being able to quickly learn tech skill hints at then having potential as a player. This shows that he notes and puts importance on game control. Westballz as a player is known for his control of the game, which hints at the ISTP nature of wanting to have full control of a system. Rather than some nature of attacking the theoretics of the game (which he might do, but more importantly) he focuses on taking full control of the actual interface of the game to have as much control of his character and the physics of the game as he can. This demonstrates the ISTP nature discussed in this video of having full control of the environment and to understand it.
    This second video illustrates the Ti Fe clash present in the ISTP, which was discussed in the end of this video.
    th-cam.com/video/uxm4HH2uYiA/w-d-xo.html
    In this video, Westballz is facing a player who is much less experienced than he is during a tournament, with money on the line. Ignoring that aspect, he practices tech skill during the match instead of actually facing the player, which is rather disrespectful. The player has much less skill, and Westballz is accentuating it because of nonchalant attitude about the other players effort, which is inferior to westballz own. it's not like westballz is actually trying to make him feel inferior however. it's more like an attitude of westballz practicing and prepare for a better opponent. All the flashes he does are multiplies, and each shine requires a minimum of two button presses. essentially, the player has to execute a jump, and then do a "shine" just as the leave the ground. then, they can cancel the shine with another jump, allowing them to perform the same action continually.
    Westballz is known in the community for being a rather weird character for his blunt responses.
    he also likes to have his hood on when he plays, and this doesn't say anything about him being ISTP except that maybe he has an ISTP like appearance.
    Anyway, I hope this offers insight to others as to what areal example of an ISTP might be in an environment.
    For those more interested in smash as a game, you can watch the documentary here:
    m.th-cam.com/video/6tgWH-qXpv8/w-d-xo.html
    For those more interested in westballz, just search Westballz SSBM on TH-cam.

      First off, in my post, it says multiplies rather than multishines, which I'd what I meant. I had to correct that.
      Hmm... I wouldn't say male INTPs are mechanical systemish and female INTPs are philosophical. I think it varies from INTP to INTP, both have both traits, and gender doesn't have much to do with it. I think the stack is the same regardless of whether it's male or female, and it's hard to determine how gender can effect the stack and stack usage. I honestly think philosophy just as much as I think along the lines of processes, I think they go together too, to some degree. it's all just Ti at the root anyway. But I would be interested in differences between male and female INTPs. I haven't met any INTPs physically besides me.
      I have noticed though, that female INTPs tend to have a sassierish nature to them. but this is all from non human interaction so...
      But perhaps I misunderstood. I'm interested in hearing a fuller explanation if you have one, but if not that's alright.
      I appreciate the comment though.

      haha what do you mean by checking?
      yeah, I have some hunches for the community.
      westballz - ISTP
      Mango - ENTP for sure
      M2K - INTP? can't say, but his approach as outlined in the documentary is totally Ti-Ne mentality, deconstructing the game to bits. it would make sense having inf Fe because some days he's on point and others he's not. But he has, to some degree, what we could suspect to be, autism, so we can't say for sure.
      Armada - Definitely Fi. IXTJ or XNTJ.
      Leffen - XSFP, I think.
      SFAT - ISFP?...
      Anyway, those are my typings, based on playstyle and community interaction.
      +Zigrid Heliotrope
      I don't know much about what you're saying. If it's biology, I'd be interested in it, but I don't know.
      I think functions are certain, and observably and consistently true, but understanding how the brain plays into that is a whole new level, and it's hard to guess what exactly goes into that. perhaps the brain has evolved in a Te sort of way to satisfy a Ti system, or in other words, the function stack as it is may be behaviorally and societally most efficient, so it created a Te system to satisfy the Ti system. but this is all conjecture.

      haha this is awesome...
      When you say they self typed, was it by functions? If they didn't use functions then its likely skewed, and I didn't see any functions so *functions rant*
      I totally thought PP was an INTJ, I typed him between my last comment and reading yours, but he's a different caliber of INTJ.
      Ken is definitely ESTJ. Notice how he invented dash dancing, his thought was "I need a movement option" which is Te trying to work with the environment. also kind of quirky.
      IDK about armada being ESTJ. I think he's an NTJ but he could be any of the TJ types honestly.
      HBOX as ENFJ is.. idk.
      How is leffen... I honestly think he's SFP because he seems kind of like a teenage girl, but hes not prideful. I guess you could site the game with church but idk. Notice how in the interview with mano following his mm with SFAT he sympathizes with him, but there's also this diologue, Mango says "you think you're good don't you" and he hesitated a little and said "if I said I wasn't good, I'd be lying" so seems like balanced Te and Fi. ESFP would work, but a more perceptive one. IDK about ENTJ.
      I don't know about S2J. INFJ could work but I haven't seen enough if him to say anything.
      Mango ENTP. No doubt. Shows in his gameplay, community attitude, such and such.
      I don't know about the others.

      +Ben - woops i deleted my comment out of embarassment of letting out all my secrets and saying too much esoteric shit, but self typed as in the standard method of normal people just going to a random mbti test in that thread and get a result.
      I'd trust the Hbox and Zhu ones just from what I observed. Sometimes people can be pretty dead on with their types from the get go.
      ENTJ's can be pretty girly and nerdy from my experience with one. They also can seem like ISFP's just because they also use the function pair of Fi + Se. Leffen just doesn't seem introverted at all. He trash talks all his friends on streams from I heard and does too many things to get what he wants like paying people to practice vs. him. ISFP's just seem like they're always so quiet and think they're better than you silently, but Leffen is an overt asshole to people telling them he's better and just tells them they're shit
      Ken as ESTJ.. maybe. I have a theory he just seems like that cause he's in the grip (depressed) so he's using his worst functions Te + Si instead of his main ones Ti + Se which is what I went through at one point in life trying to live through methods I used in the past to get through life with it working for a couple years, but eventually you face reality you can't deal with.

    • @Ben_01
      @Ben_01 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Kevin Nguyen If it's a normal online MBTI test, then it's extremely questionable. yes, people can get the right type from the get go, but even so, it's not perfect, by any means.
      Saying Ken is a looping ISTP is a stretch. Anything is possible, of course, but I sense Te from him. Maybe I'll rewatch the documentary to see if I can pinpoint anything Te.
      I havent seen leffens streams directly, but I've seen a video of him breaking down a match, and unlike a Je dom, he takes time to assemble his critiques, which is typically an introverted tendency. And his bo5 with Chillin- he seems to be forcing his smugness, rather than doing it naturally- which isn't the default case, but I think it happens here. Like with Mango, his Fe is just there. But with Leffen, in the match it seems like he's trying and making an effort to make a point.
      *last comment, I meant SFAT, not church... I dont know how church got there.

    I'm interested in how you view the opposite functions working together, like you said Ne-Si is "well travelled" and Se-Ni likes to stick to intensely stick to something. I am writing a paper on types now, and I call Ne-Si or Si-Ne "Comprehensive Address", and Ni-Se or Se-Ni "Singular Impact" or "Singular Intensity". I don't know if that is apt. I am going to call Ti-Fe or Fe-Ti "Harmonious Unity" or "Savvy something" I don't know. I am an INFP so my understanding of Ti, Fe, Ni, and Se is from other people.

    • @MichaelPiercePhilosophy
      @MichaelPiercePhilosophy  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Leon Tsao That's essentially how I see it as well; Si/Ne has a broad, comprehensive motion while Ni/Se has a diving, zeroing in motion. Ti/Fe tries to give up of itself in favor of a greater, universal standard while Fi/Te tries to strengthen and validate its own true self despite outside opposition. So Ti/Fe is a disintegrating, joining motion, while Fi/Te is a solidifying, individuating motion. But as I always say, I'm not an expert!
      I think the best resource is the following article from CelebrityTypes.com that I built off of, which might be of use to you:

    I also consider myself an ISTP but sometimes I can also be emotional when it comes to personal failings/anxiety and I'm often not afraid to show it, explaining why I feel like this is a different matter... On the other hand I try not to hurt people when being too direct but I find it really hard to not cut the crap and often just give in and say it anyway. If I retain myself, they notice I'm silent, if I say something deviating, it's obvious. Actually maybe that's the best way, since it seems to hurt them the least while still being clear.

      lmao maybe ur an ISFP.
      even when i had axienty and depression i never showed it, considered it as embarrassing and stupid. and depends on the person and what type of advice someone wants, u might cause fights, but other than that, cut the crap. being brutally honest.

    • @SirThanksalot_1
      @SirThanksalot_1 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      On the other end, I have been told to be too direct to people without me noticing, and a friend of mine who is really really into the MBTI system is absolutely positive I'm an ISTP. Maybe it's just because I'm gay that I tend somewhat more to 'F' :D
      but overall I'm just bad at coping with feelings, which is a typical aspect of ISTP. But hey, I learned. And I don't feel this anxiety lately compared to when I posted above comment.
      Being satisfied with life makes me less sensitive again, even though I think this is more of a general human thing. Happy people care less.

    • @HarryPotter-mq4nn
      @HarryPotter-mq4nn 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lord Thanksalot
      im gay too, it has no affect on your personality, really.
      F's are more emotionally expressive and are more concerned with social harmony and not hurting people's feelings.
      its possibly youre an ISTP, but ISFP's is bassically an ISTP who's feelings are more out there.
      the way you described yourself actually goes against the 'T' in ISTP, which is why i suggested the F.
      though i could be wrong about you, since i dont know you personally, but hopefully this might help a bit:
      (T)
      "Thinking individuals focus on objectivity and rationality, prioritizing logic over emotions. They tend to hide their feelings and see efficiency as more important than cooperation."
      (F)
      "Feeling individuals are sensitive and emotionally expressive. They are more empathic and less competitive than Thinking types, and focus on social harmony and cooperation"

    • @SirThanksalot_1
      @SirThanksalot_1 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well it appears to be that you have much more F-types among gay men and T-types among lesbians.
      As for me, could it be I'm just 50/50 lol...
      Another thing that would be typical to F is to prefer emotional stuff to the rational, like movies. Romantic movies bore me.
      I prefer more interesting settings like scientific, historic matter and such.
      When it comes to cooperation, it really depends: if it's intensive, then please no, or someone: take the lead. If it's simple: yeah sure!
      And even then, context makes everything.

      Aaand I just watched a descriptive video about ISFP.
      It's indeed quite close to my description, but the tragic part is: I do care about other's feelings, but I find it hard to assess them at times. And I can think of so many different situations where you'd get so confused about which one I actually am...sometimes caring, sometimes not or not much.

    This makes a very uncomfortable sense. I always thought its me but literally its him. I simply didn't understand his personality and nature and now that i am aware of my own personality type which is infp it all made a ironic sense. Im basically built on emotions and feelings and istps are well a little more guarded. Helpful insight. I just have to adjust my emotional frequencies lol😊😊😊😊

    I reckon that in ww2..an ISTP are
    the least to be captured because they would rather die in their duty.
    but once captured.. they are more likely to be killed by enemy. (cant stand their stare of doom)
    however if they held information.. they are the toughest to break and most likely to be tortured more
    Guess which personality would have high chance of surviving once captured?

    • @Hari-kx2er

      OK... but this video is about ISTP not ENTP. May be you meant that you share this trait with ISTPs. However, ENTPs have tertiary Fe. That means however blunt you may be, you are still distinctly aware of the general feeling atmosphere in a room and try to accommodate that. ISTPs with inferior Fe can be even more blunt.
      Secondly ENTPs may enjoy the process of a debate or discussion itself regardless of the conclusion (Intellectual Sparring) . ISTPs may not do that and they are more about saying what needs to be said and doing what needs to be done in a pressing situation

    One time I was momentarily held hostage with another girl. We were tied to chairs that were sitting side by side. More than one guy, but not sure how many. The closest one had a gun and put it to my face and whispered a lot of things in my ear. Plans he had for us and he told me that part of his fun- however he actually worded it- was that he was going to have me tell her what he was going to do to us or else. This was a guy I met before, who hated it when I told him to use his own words. So, he told me to use my own words. He had told me about taking off his pants and used words like drilling ... went on about how he would do it until we expired. That sort of thing. So, I leaned over to her and whispered in her ear with his face right there because he wanted to hear, "He says he's going to drop his pants and bore us to death." He hit me on top of my head with the butt of the gun, but he didnt' rape anyone that day. Maybe he would have come back later, but people showed up and arrested him shortly thereafter.
    That's a little ISTP oversharing, to answer the question of anyone who might wonder why I think I'm an ISTP female.

I was an istp man I have ever felt carpentry as well as electricity and I both like it but my boss said that I have to choose one of those fields of work and I'm starting to get confused ... can you give me a logical view ... so in this decision which one should I take as someone with an ISPT personality .... ??? carpenter (framing house) ..... electrician (wireman) ..... ???? Your answer is more or less very helpful for me, I hope God will bless your family and friends
