Thank you for this video! I went to cosmetology school and worked in a few salons. The salons I worked for weren't the kindest, but also didn't have any updated makeup. Each salon I would work at would make us use their products which came with maybe 4 different foundation shades. Over time I lost my interest and went into nursing. Now that I have educated myself over the last few years, I have learned I have just been working in the wrong places and now I am in the process of renewing my license and taking makeup classes. I have always been into makeup and has been a dream of mine to work with weddings. This video has really inspired me and helps guide me in the right directions. Thank you!

That’s a tough one! I would recommend getting on some Facebook groups of local makeup artists in your area and connecting with people there! I’m sure there are fellow beginners who would be happy to let you practice on them.
I've been a certified and licensed makeup artist for 15 years I love it I also style hair. I love this video. Do you have any suggestions on which liquid or gel eyeliner to use that is sweatproof,smudgeproof and waterproof? I have tried so many and not have done the work properly. I used to use the benefit gel pen liner but they discontinued it I was so upset 😖
One quick question …. I do feel like make up it’s my true passion since I can remember. Life got me in different paths but .am I to old to start this journey? I’m 45 years old
As a freelance makeup artist, when booking a trial for bridal makeup, do you go to the clients house? If so, do you charge travel fees to go to their house for the trial as well? I’m trying to figure out how to not go to a clients house 😅
Hi Wendy! My travel fee is the same no matter what type of appointment it is, whether its a trial or wedding day. Either way it requires the same amount of work and planning on my end!
