the wizard by Black Sabbath studio version
The Pride of Texas. The Greatest Guitarist Ever. Gone too soon.
Stevie Ray Vaughn…
Call Me The Breeze Lynyrd Skynyrd One More From The Road Live
The singer here was Ronnie Van Zant, 3 months before the plane crash that killed singer and leader Ronnie, guitarist Steve Gaines, Steve's sister Cassie, who sang backup, and their tour manager, Dean Kilpatrick.
Everyone else was severely injured.
Ronnie was the heart and soul of Skynyrd, and they are really nothing but a tribute band now.
The drummer here is Artimus Pyle, the only one still alive.
All of the original founding members have passed on.
THANK U THIS IS SO SAD
I will only add:
Billy Powell on the piano
Allen Collins - Guitar
Gary Rossington - Guitar
Leon Wilkeson - Bass
Johnnie is good. He kept the music going.
Who is that? That is Allen Collins, the tall & lean, puffy haired, foot stomping, guitar shredding machine 🎸 He was like a human electrical storm on stage, that boy could go all nite with his Gibson Explorer. That solo and the song’s opening lyrics are his greatest gifts to us. An absolute legend! 🎸
My absolute idol and guitar god
@@kevenrowe2958 💯 mine too 💪🏼
Allen really was the one besides Ronnie who gave u your $$$ worth live. He was an incredible showman and really knew how to work the crowds . Gary was more comfy in thr backround . Leon had some mojo & Steve sure did. Ed was a genius in studio ,but not really made for stage . Allen was a real showman and amazing lead guitar .
He liked to drink good whiskey. Sad song. Rip john
Yes he had written the entire solo note for note when he was 16 years old and still in high school he 😮😮😮
They performed this concert just 3 months before their tragic plane crash. 🥺
I still remember it well...heartbreaking
One of the worst days in my life .
You broke the #1 rule!
NEVER interrupt a guitar solo !
Especially one of the most iconic and greatest ever.
I can't believe you weren't arrested for pausing the solo😉
@@karowak1
Me too. It's a rule cause the solo takes you on the musical journey.
if they don't pause, the video gets removed for copyright issues--record your own reaction and do what you want, instead of whining.
@@JaquelineGoodspeed
@carlop.7182 I'll whine about it all I want. They do? There are reactors who play the whole videos through. So that can't be true. If it is, yes pause, but not through the guitar, piano, flute, drum solos. They are the journey. Whining still. Can't take it, be gone.
@@carlop.7182
That's why 99% of reactors do it when there's a break, usually in the middle of a song.
Lynyrd Skynyrd was from Jacksonville Florida and sadly the last founding member Gary Rossington passed away earlier this year but what I call the second helping version is still touring with the lead singer being the baby brother of the lead singer and that is Johnny Van Zant
THANK U
RIP Gary Rossington
The current lead guitarist, Ricky Medlock, was their original drummer.
Southern Rock is so good for your Soul!
Beautiful reaction thank you. This was their gift to mankind before their plane crashed.
Love Southern rockn= Blues
Best guitar solo ever and the best southern rock group ever. Im 65 and this was one of the first albums I ever bought They were amazing!
I knew you’d like this one. It’s a classic and one of the greatest of all time.
LOVE IT
This song brings a tear to my eyes it was there last big concert before there plane crash not far from my house in 1977 in gillsburg Mississippi. I was 16 and just learning the guitar most of my family was in the music business my dad played drum for
👉Felton Floyd and the Drifters👈
and set in with
👉 Asleep at the wheel 👈
My uncles band was 👉The Miller Street Band👈
My mom was a nurse at the hospital at the time. And called me and said the sheriff told her a bunch of hippies had a bad plane crash and not to go down there. But you know a rambunctious kid in the 70s is going to investigate. It wasn't but about a mile from my home. I drove my tricked out bike when I get there couldn't see a plane it was way back in the Swamp. Police and firemen was still bringing body's out it was bad half of them died on impact the lead singer Ronnie vanzant had a single knot on his head and was dead the short hair guitar player and his sister the backup singer.died the ones that survived was really messed up ribs hanging out of there body's. The plane ran out of gas. There is a nice memorial in gillsburg mississippi.. the long hair guitarist in white survive the plane but a few years later he was high and drunk and has a car wreck and was paralyzed from the waist. The last surviving member died a few months ago the guy making the bird sounds on the guitar. They was all from Jacksonville Florida there group name came from there gem couch his name was Lynyrd Skynyrd he gave the guy a hard to about there long hair and there rowdy ways. They all dropped out of school and started there band. 😢❤
Wow
Gym coach
Thanks man for posting
70's are unexplainable...miss it! Lots of good times and great music...TONS!!
Love your energy girl. Keep on rocking
THANK U♥️♥️
I was fortunate enough to meet and get to know the drummer his name is Artimus Pyle he actually borrowed my drum kit at a gig that we both played at is a very humble very nice guy
The good lord graced us with in my mind one of the greatest bands to ever set foot on stage . I had the pleasure of seeing them in June of 1977 in Buffalo New York what a concert and can say i have yet to a concert that would even come close to this im now 66 what a day to remember. Lynyrd skynyrd lives on in all who ever went to one of those concerts REST IN PEACE LYNYRD SKYNYRD ❤🙏
Summerfest and superfest.... Rich stadium... Best of times!! I was at this one also, sitting right below the clown that climbed across the cable, that even impressed Ted Nugent. NOTHING beats Skynyrd live, saw twice at Rich, 1'st time in '74 with ELP. Damn, I still get chills remembering those concerts!!!
Last song I heard from them. Still haunts me today. I was at their last concert in Greenville SC. I am from Jacksonville too
Happy 50th anniversary to the release to Free Bird
I saw them front row center!! Leaning on the stage!
Play me like that lol. Seriously this band was incredible everytime I see this video I feel chills and every reaction video I feel only love yours was no different.
Awesome song, I seen them on TV and listen to them on the radio, wish I could have seen them live 🎤🎸🥁🎶🤘😎🤘
❤ lynyrd skynyrd 🎶 the gold standard of rocknroll!
I was a senior in high school and when this song was playing we didn't know what to do we only slow danced and everyone would panic and clear the floor when it sped up. Roll Tide
Thank you kindly for reacting to Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Please check out
"Simple Man."
UR WELCOME AND I WILL♥️
@@kshavon3098 😊
This song is just amazing !
GIRL YES!!
They are from Jacksonville Florida 😊. After years of listening to Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, even Stevie Ray Vaughan, at 56 years old I’ve decided that the guitar solo (3 players, actually) in Free Bird is THE greatest of all time ❤
🤭🤭🤭🤭3 on the guitars, and 1 bass🤘❤️
Hometown heroes! Duval represent!
I'm fortunate to have seen a few of the originals before some have passed away after the plane crash. I seen them in 97 in Virginia Beach at the the Virginia Beach amphitheater Virginia
THATS DOPE
Saw this tour in Chicago 1977 - amazing!!
Black Sabbath War Pigs LIVE in Paris 1970 this is a MUST WATCH
BET! MAKE SURE TO STOMP THAT 🛎️ SO U CAN KNOW WHEN THE VID UPLOADS
I got to play with them and a few members of the original band played and Ronnie Vanzant’s younger brother was on the vocals. I was standing next to Stone Cold watching this backstage. That was one of the most incredible days of my life.
Straight FIRE!!!

UR WELCOME BESTIE😘😘
I saw them at the Dodger Stadium, same year, same tour. They were absolutely GREAT!!! Looking out in the crowd, that was us back then. 😂 Everyone getting along and having one heck of a great time.
Check out their song....give me three steps.
..
OK BEST FRIEND LISTEN FOR UR SHOUTOUT♥️
This is simply a beautiful break-up song; no blame being hurled between the parties involved, just someone telling it like it is, even taking the blame for the break-up. Grateful for having had the relationship, sad it cannot continue because the fellow has to move on to see things he needs to see. You can definitely tell when the newly freed bird takes flight, eh?
The sound from this show left the planet that day and has reverberated through the universe I shit you not! It’s probably just now flying past Jupiter this solo will still exist after the sun burns out!
DAMN! that t shirt is just spilling the truth out of it. Damn woman!
😂😂
They are from the WESTSIDE of Jacksonville Florida..... DUUUUVAL TILL WE DIE...
You are awesome
THANK U MY BEST FRIEND & SO R U♥️😘
No words, Bestie ❤ this performance is unmatched

Such a powerful song. Radio rock here in NZ blasts this song at least once a day.

Yes Ronnie we still remember you
@9:27 you can see the METAL start to take hold.
I was only nine years old when the plane crashed, took most of the members. And I am 54 now when Gary Rossington passed away the day after had my stroke what a way to remember them
One of my favorite videos ever. Another plane crash death of talent in the 20th century, so tragic.
I remember hearing freebird at the end of the movie The Devil's Rejects
Devil ain't free for himself or you.
Gimme back my bullets is fire too by them
❤️🎶❤️🎶
Godddam American classic.
Jacksonville Florida ❤
Slide guitar, gary ,whiskey bottle, Allman, Brothers, Johnny Winters gary dog it, there all together now❤
Listen to Tobacco Road if you like SOUL. Live performance by the Winter Brothers.
LOOK FOR UR SHOUT OUT NEXT WEEK
Sadly, nobody on that stage is with us anymore. Eventually the survivors of the plane crash that recovered from it reformed the band, with singer Ronnie Van Zant's baby brother Johnny taking over on lead vocals. All the eventual replacements to this day still tour. The last original slide guitarist Gary Rossington never recovered from a covid shot.
💔
The best. Love them all. 💕 they were not racist. Listen to "curtis blow" by them.
Curtis Loew lol
The song is called, The Ballad of Curtis Loew. Jaqueline meant well...lol

Lead singer was Ronnie Van Zant.
THANK U BEST FRIEND
So, to be clear, did she like Lynyrd Skynyrd or no? They’re my favorite band ever. So, I think they rock. And their live performances are unmatched because Ronnie Van Zant (the singer) was a perfectionist. Best musically orchestrated song ever. Thank you Allen Collins for writing it.
you could try,. hey joe by jimi hendrix or anything by lenny kravitz.
BET♥️♥️
"Simple Man" by Lyrnrd Skynrd or "The Ballad Of Curtis Loew".
I second these... and raise ya Gimme Three Steps... :) 'Bama born and Texas raised ;)
Both great tunes,I think Tuesdays gone is their prettiest song, with Gary's haunting guitar solo
Triple lead guitar tour de force: Gary Collins, Allan Rossington, Ed Gaines
The things Ronnie could have done if he would have lived longer!!
