@@joeyscleaninglady2877 new parts are e-coated, how do you apply it to existing parts? How does primer wear down? Etch primer, epoxy primer, primer surfacer, then primer sealer.
@@GridIndustries zinc phosphate treatment (This is VERY common lots of aftermarket parts are pre-treated with a zinc phosphate coating ) then go an e-coat bath then sealed then primed then painted. Chemical resistance to corrosion is far superior to primer.
@@joeyscleaninglady2877 isn't etch primer a chemical treatment? But I've used zinc phosphate treatment as well. POR-15 Metal prep does that, which I'm a fan of. But I agree, the more comprehensive the protection, the better.
I lov this I've owned my 60 sence 2005 ur trucks are beautiful wish I could get mine dn
My fj is my fishing rig! Rod rack and all.
That axle table is excellent.
About to start working on my 83 FJ60 restoration soon! Good to see you guys using weld-thru primer also!
Lol my modern FJ doesn't even have rear speakers. Just dash and door speakers.
I want one!
Nice shirt!!
why not e coat the parts prior to putting it back together... primer tends to wear down over time...
Because it'll burn off when you weld the panel. And E-coat is supposed to be painted over anyway.
@@GridIndustries you primer on top of the e-coat, it adds another layer of protection.
