Liked your Vid. I love the yellow. First paddled it in 1978. Forest Mills to Ion Bridge. The water was about a foot higher than what you paddled. "Buckmaster's Ford" was actually a small dam with tubes in it at the time. We got very wet on that 3 ft drop.
The Yellow was not known as well then, and more primitive. It has the best variety of wildlife of any river in the state. Because of its steep terrain and gradient it will often change from year to year. It has been a hidden gem. The only thing that is frightening, is the human encroachment in the last 2 decades sadly.

I love how you showcase different parts of Iowa that counteract the usual state stereotype. Thanks!

The places that make me feel like I'm in a different state are my favorite spots in Iowa, lol!

My buddy and I literally planned and visited Iowa becasue of him. We live in CO, and we were blown away by Iowa's options. I knew before hand Iowa had some adventure after visiting the lower 48. I didn't know quite how much. A few years ago I discoved Arkansas. Everyone was like why are spring breaking in Arkansas...fast foward 7 years and everyones MTB, cycling, paddling Arkansas.

Hello. I came across your video for the Upper Iowa River and it was very helpful. My husband and I just returned from our trip. The Yellow River is on his must paddle list now. Thanks for the videos, it helped us a lot.

Yo, you've inspired my dad, sister, and myself to try kayaking/paddle boarding down a river in iowa! We're gonna start with a short trip and see how they go from there!

I paddle this run all the time, not difficult at all, on the weekends it's nothing but tubers and their kids. Unfortunately the water levels are too low. Need at least 130 cfs to scrape through

This trip should take people about 3-4 hours depending on flow and how fast they paddle!

An otherwise nice video with annoying and distracting music that doesn't match the subject. One of countless such videos on TH-cam. Why all the noise?

Thanks for your feedback! Here is what I'm thinking of using for music on my next video, let me know what you think! th-cam.com/video/dQw4w9WgXcQ/w-d-xo.html

@@HikePaddleBike Will do. Sorry if I was too critical. It really is a nice video of a stretch of the Yellow that I haven't seen. I just have a pet peeve about the music on a lot of TH-cam videos.
