I grew up in Algonquin park. Once was chased off a lake while Ice fishing. Counted 8 wolves. Seemed like the alpha convinced the others to leave me alone with one huge howl. Was freaky but amazing experience. I miss the area everyday
@@sandrathomas2145 :- Algonquin Park is in Ontario, Canada... a Provincial park, located in central Ontario (many like to say northern Ontario, but no it is not that far north...Ontario is huge...bigger than Texas for comparison). About 1/3 the size of Israel.
I love that these are clean, and I can play them for my students in elementary school. I know mating and prey vs predator are natural but for elementary school not so much. These videos are a super way to teach appreciation of nature. I can even play them while students work just for relaxation. Thanks so much.
Same goes for people. Unfortunately, we're going to reach the point where we can't fit anymore people on earth. And animals, and ultimately humans, will pay for it.

The responsible thing to do is not to do look the other way but to declare war to China while they're still military inferior. That conflict will come anyway the more we wait the bigger it will be. We should declare war to china now, annihilate all their military power, then protect nature by culling their numbers with a zero child policy on them. They're doing and have done far worse with millions of yughurs or tibetans.
It's amazing how the wildlife coexist with each other and avoid colliding most of the time....i could watch this all day and somehow it gives me peace of mind....I believe after viewing this...the idea of walking through a public zoo would stress me out...this is nature being nature..I love it .🐺🦅🐻🐰🐍

No problem. I would have captured a lot more clips but I had a lot of camera issues last year. One of my new G45ng's lost audio when a bear mauled it and only one of my five G42ng's actually worked properly all year.. The one Moultrie stopped working in about August and overall the camera's malfunctioned a lot so I probably missed some good video. Anyways I just picked up 11 new G42ng's with 1080p video and audio so I'm going to leave the rest on the shelf from now on other than the G45ng with audio and the one working G42ng.
@@kevinjeffery These are awesome videos and look like way out in the middle of nowhere. I have one 42 Ng and it's a good camera but browning strike force 850 are pretty cheap right now and excellent, and the batteries last twice as long or more, not affiliated with them just FYI.

I’m hooked. This is the most relaxing thing I have ever watched. I have the worst allergies had 2 sinus surgeries and allergic to every animal and grass etc. I can enjoy the sounds and sights from my home! This is better than sitting on my deck and watching the birds. Nature crack!!!

'Quite a few clips showing Fishers & more showing always apparently playful River Otters too. 'Wonderful shots of wolves & black bears returning to that old moose kill site, to chew on bones & bits of hide. There's no such thing as waste in nature! I used to live in a small town called Plummer Idaho bout 18 miles from st Marie’s I’d. And 5 miles from st joe river and the branching chacolet lake so I got to see a lot of this growing up. The best was watching a herd of wild elk one time or a mother moose and her calf cross the road outside of town, didn’t happen allot but nice when it did.

Like watching a wild horse protect its baby from wolves, only a machine lol I forgot to add that some times if not most, when hit by a vehicle their the ones that walk away while the vehicle gets towed..
So many beautiful animals; babies w/their mamas, prey & predator traveling on the same path (maybe even passing each other by minutes), families & loners. Are those a pack of wolves? Great video. Great to share at a senior center...interesting & educational. Moose are so odd looking.
The bears and wolves are my favorite. I watched the 2017 vid and saw the poor wolf who had gotten his leg taken off, and was hoping to see him again and wish that he is still ok.

Thanks. I believe there were two different radio collared Wolves in this video. The one at 35:35 was about 40 km away from the other one at 31:50 and again at 42:11. I may be wrong but the radio collars look different as well.
Couldn't tell if this was a Wolf or Coyote. Thank you for mentioning the collared Algonquin Wolf. Researched this magnificent canine. It's a hybrid of both Wolf and Coyote.🐺🐾
This must be the only watering hole for these creatures. So much critter life in one area. With the Bears, coyotes and I think I saw a Bobcat or Lynx, definitely not tge area to set up camp. Love the footage.
Certainly not the only watering hole for these creatures. Algonquin Park is 7,653 square Kilometers (2,955 sq. miles) in area. The park contains 2,400 lakes and 1,200 kilometers of rivers and streams. Wildlife is protected and abundant throughout the park.

Hello! I visit Algonquin multiple times a year. I am curious on the areas these videos are from! They are amazing a beautiful. Are they interior or from regular camp areas?
It is remarkable when the wolves come up to the camera, they eye ball it and decide to hang a right or left as if they "know" it shouldn't be there. When they are moving in a pack and are walking by it, they all do the "side-eye" at it. Also it might just be me, but it seems that the deer can see the IR illuminator at night.

@Kevin Jeffery, did you catch the moose kill on cam? If so, what killed it? I am assuming the wolf pack but would like to know if possible. You have so many great clips of such diverse wildlife, it just amazes me. Now I want to get trail cams and go put them up in the nature center near where I live. I’ve seen deer, great blue herons, ducks, geese, turkeys, the rare muskrat sighting… all of usual wildlife but I know there’s much more we never see and many more at night. My husband saw a bobcat in the park at the end of our street, we sometimes have coyotes in our back yard and we have deer, turkeys and raccoons almost daily. I live near Colorado Springs so we don’t get the awesome wildlife you get. What trail cams do you recommend? Wow, we’re there 2 separate moose kills? I was glad to see the wolf with the collar with the pack. The wolf that comes into view at 43:10 doesn’t look good, it look very thin and is walking kinda funny.
Visiting algonquin in may, finally! Love your videos man! Roughly where in algonquin are your cameras? I assume it must be deep in and pretty far from trails and such because those would have less animals around due to human presence?
Kevin, great video! I would love it if you, or another expert would identify each species when they are first introduced so I could learn. for instance at 38:37, weasel? 38:42, marten? Having lived in the Western US before, I saw a lot of Coyotes. Were any of these coyotes or all red wolves?
It's like the Wolves can sense the camera, maybe the IR? it's like an invisible barrier to them, nice to see mum and younger bear looking healthy, balanced environment
New subscriber here. I see you started out videoing hockey exclusively, then switched to trail cameras and your views exploded. I’m curious about that. Additionally, I found the beavers quite interesting. I have not set up a cam to focus on them, but now I want to.
The Stealthcam seems to take nice video. Have they improved battery life? I had one a few years ago and it went through Lithium batteries like a kid through M&M’s. 2 days max. I sent it back and they said nothing wrong with it.
Nice work. I've started doing something similar in my woods in Connecticut and am looking at what others have done. I'm amazes at the variety of critters out there! Any tips on camera placement?
Thanks. The only tips I can give you is to keep the vegetation trimmed in front of the camera and dont rush the set up. Check the card a few times while setting up the camera until you get it placed where you want it.
Nice. I got a few more Lynx videos this year as well. Probably something to do with the snowshoe hare population being abundant right now. They are still hard to get good videos of on cam though. Love the beavers tending their houses.... pretty safe place with the underwater ENTRANCE....I bet there was once some big animal though that would come along And dig that whole thing out from the top
Two moose killed 5 feet apart from a series of fallen trees. There were tree's down all over the Park from a windstorm about a week before I found the carcasses. I followed the noise of the raven's to find the location and set up cameras right away. It wasn't until about a week later that any wolves showed up. The carcass earlier in the video may well have been a wolf kill though. That was a young bull with about 5 inch long antlers. He was mostly eaten when I found him though so who knows if he was healthy or not. Could have been injured already or suffering from illness.

Whats really interesting is how predator and prey just missed each other on the same path most of the time.
Their not always hungry so they can be seen at times on cam together just doing what ever.
I'm sure each knows exactly where the others are. It's a matter of it being dinner time or not.

Wow, we’re there 2 separate moose kills? I was glad to see the wolf with the collar with the pack. The wolf that comes into view at 43:10 doesn’t look good, it look very thin and is walking kinda funny.
Does this camera make a sound, like clicking or something? Some animals seem to be reacting with fear to something or other. Thank you for this video.

Visiting algonquin in may, finally! Love your videos man! Roughly where in algonquin are your cameras? I assume it must be deep in and pretty far from trails and such because those would have less animals around due to human presence?

Kevin, great video! I would love it if you, or another expert would identify each species when they are first introduced so I could learn. for instance at 38:37, weasel? 38:42, marten? Having lived in the Western US before, I saw a lot of Coyotes. Were any of these coyotes or all red wolves?

New subscriber here. I see you started out videoing hockey exclusively, then switched to trail cameras and your views exploded. I’m curious about that.
Additionally, I found the beavers quite interesting. I have not set up a cam to focus on them, but now I want to.
The Stealthcam seems to take nice video. Have they improved battery life? I had one a few years ago and it went through Lithium batteries like a kid through M&M’s. 2 days max. I sent it back and they said nothing wrong with it.
WONDERFUL Video...I would love it if you would note when each new species appears: i.e.0:00-Canada Goose, etc. At 8:30, are those red wolves? Coyotes?

Nice work. I've started doing something similar in my woods in Connecticut and am looking at what others have done. I'm amazes at the variety of critters out there! Any tips on camera placement?
Thanks. The only tips I can give you is to keep the vegetation trimmed in front of the camera and dont rush the set up. Check the card a few times while setting up the camera until you get it placed where you want it.
The lynx was a good catch. We got one on our camera off the Brent Rd.
Nice. I got a few more Lynx videos this year as well. Probably something to do with the snowshoe hare population being abundant right now. They are still hard to get good videos of on cam though. I do not see anything in frame 11:10 chasing this deer. So it could have caught your scent in the area of the camera.

Were there 2 moose at the kill site? Do they kill them when they are weak or old or do they kill the healthy ones too sometimes?
Two moose killed 5 feet apart from a series of fallen trees. There were tree's down all over the Park from a windstorm about a week before I found the carcasses. I followed the noise of the raven's to find the location and set up cameras right away. It wasn't until about a week later that any wolves showed up. The carcass earlier in the video may well have been a wolf kill though. That was a young bull with about 5 inch long antlers. He was mostly eaten when I found him though so who knows if he was healthy or not. Could have been injured already or suffering from illness.
