I think you can discard meld cards to oscillios ability. Per the rules reprise, they have a "combination of all the properties from its two textboxes and typeboxes, except when they are played". So they count as wizard lightning action instant cards
The errata also makes Amp effect forked lightning; Amp only buffs the first instance of damage, not both instances of damage. I want Forked Lightning to be super cool, but we still have to stick with card buffs like Blessing of Aether and Stir the Aetherwinds to make it go super big. I sure hope Oscillo is the go tall lightning wizard of my dreams though - I've been wanting to say "X for 20 arcane" for YEARS, and it doesn't hit the same if it's just 'Blazing for 20' at the end of a combo as it would if it was the opener. Verdance also looks like they might be able to go super tall with Channel Millennium Tree, but I worry that Verdance is going to turn into the attack action Bullander style deck and I want pure arcane
"But you can go ahead and get all the way off my back about it, because I've been thinking about Oscilio."
Making Ryan George references is tight!
I've already decided that I'm picking up wizard from this set, so I'm down for anything related to them. lol
Sidenote: The sigil situation with Oscillio is very confusing. Hopefully we get to see some more before the world premiere.
Me too!
Since I am a real Florian, talk about me next (and no, you did not notice the profile pic)
Unfortunately amp only buffs the first damage instance of forked lightning under the most recent errata. The buff has to say it buffs a "card" rather than source to buff both instances on forked lightning.
It makes me so happy to hear that you are also excited for Oscilio. I was worried that if I finally got the opportunity to meet you in person in Tampa, I would have nothing of substance to talk to you about. Now I know I most certainly will. I'm new to Wizards, but really excited to jam Silly'O!
Great video. Looking forward to seeing every class get expanded into multiple different play style paths.
I'd feel like the go tall wizard would be Verdance: She already got an aura Amp 3
Oscillio feels more like an aggro/combo wizard based on... nothing, I just believe it ? x) I mean, he can give go again easily and go really fast to a pitch stack ? And lightning is know for going wild, not tall
But hey, that's just a theory. A game theory !
Oscilio is my boy!! I don't care if my deck sucks, I'm forcing him in every event in Tampa
Verdance next please, would be cool to see some more theories
But what about Betsy?!
I hate the term Instant Speed, because it infers that it supercedes other speeds in the game, when it does not. However, hearing you say Action Speed made my day. Thank you!
I prefer to think of it not as overall instant speed for the same reason. Instead my brain now treats it as the speed you can play the card, not the speed at which it resolves. Which also now worries me for the future, when we do get a "Instant Speed 2" or some kind of Instant Speed resolution type effect.
@@ElykMuablhats Having been born in the generation where Interrupts were a thing...
@@gunternine1130 I'm unsure what you mean my friend, FaB has been around for less than 5 years and we have never had interrupts. And if youre trying to insult my age, I started playing MTG in 94 when I was 6.
@@ElykMuablhats No insult meant at all... I was 14 and started playing around the same time as you. So you understand Instants and Interrupts, which means you can fully understand "instant speed" and my distaste for the term. :)
I don't like the wizard class. If Oscillio is, in fact, a "go tall" wizard... that alone will make me change my mind.
Great insight!
What site do you use to build fab decks?
Fykin love sc2
Question: who is the blonde woman warrior pictured at the end of your video?
I hate the idea of a ‘go tall’ arcane damage dealer when it is never possible to block all the damage, or indeed anything more than 3 or 4, even if you wanted to…
Also, being able to deal massive arcane damage in a set with no AB will lead to some pretty quick limited games!!
Ab equipment and a card like Oasis respite can block out alot more than 3 or 4.
Aether Arc?
I thought the split cards are both types, so you can discard it to oscilio?
@@johnjohn-up2pu I think they are classified as non attack action cards based on the rules reprise
@@johnjohn-up2pu uh oh, it looks like I misremembered. I thought that was on the Fast Facts portion of the article but I don't see anything about that on the site. I specifically took the part out when I mentioned discarding a meld card to Oscilio, but if it is possible then they're even better!
I think they mentioned that split card has all the card type that is written, so its a non attack action instant card and i believe you can discard it into oscilio ability
LSS continuing to blow expectations 😅
Normally, when you think lighting, you'd think fast, go again, small shock damage. But the way you built oscilio with the current card pool, it felt more like an earth strategy (strong, defensive, big)
Break more expectations LSS and give us a proper Merchant hero.
Yes they do
That's no protos that xerath =P
but rly its actually xerath from League =P wtf
@@Mortanux nah, it's definitely an archon from SCII
