The 'numbers' vs 'how do I win' concept is interesting to me. I imagine the majority of the time the answer to "how do I win" will come down to "present the best numbers you can" but I think incorporating the "how do I win" step before the numbers step is particularly helpful in the late game, where non-number crunching solutions become necessary. I can totally see people skipping the "how do I win" step all of the time, particularly at armory/PQ level. It also feels like this is usually a deck knowledge issue as well. Someone who does not understand their power cards and how they work in a matchup may not realize that they need to switch gears when they draw them or know they will soon.
The "think about the whole game not just turn by turn" is something I already try to do with my Levia Deck since she needs GY, you need to look after your own Life total for Blasmo Flip and the cards you put in the Bin for his ability. And even with all that, the one Matchup I cannot beat is Kano.
So what I took away from this: Kano is broken, if you don't draw the nuts turn 1 or 2 against him at the latest, you lose. Thanks for coming to my TED talk. (In seriousness though, great stuff! Always love your videos)
As a new player this is the exact content I'm looking for. Where can I find more info about other matchups, like if I'm playing Kassai and want to apply the same logic for example
I didn't really understand 'don't try to beat the nuts' honestly, the tip made no sense to me and the example didn't really help - could I get any further clarification on that?
Waayyyyy ahead of you regarding tip 6. I play with myself all the time.
THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT BRO???? 💀🤣

My advice: don’t have a mortgage and play this game, unless you want to run out of money.
Aimpoint kan inte funka för alla 😁
