I tried the Protools theme in Reaper. I thought it was supposed to emulate Protools, but I was very disappointed when I never received any warnings telling me to "Try increasing your hardware buffer size" or "Protools has quit unexpectedly"
@@MakeTheMusic Thank you! I have a Tascam FW-1082 that hasn't worked as a fader controller with anything until Now with reaper. As an audio interface it's crapped out completely, but as a midi fader controller it's working great in Reaper. Other control surface I discovered works well in Reaper is the Yamaha AW16G. So I have a template for the first 16 tracks are my Motorized faders, my second 16 tracks output to the individual tacks of my Tascam Model 2400. On the motorized faders for instance, I can assign all of the vocal tracks to 2 channel strips on the 2400, and do the same with guitars, and assign any midi instruments output to21/22. This gives me 32 Tracks that I can live mix on the analog mixer, while creating digital submixes of similar instruments if I need the extra tracks, using the Daw as nothing more than a multitrack recorder and Digital Audio Editor where most people also use it for a digital mixer and assigning inserts. The advantage here is that when you mix digitally, if a meter hits Zero it clips, has nowhere to go. When you mix on an analog mixer, if it hits Zero it has headroom and begins to saturate and if you mix it to tape it can saturate quite a lot before it starts to sound bad. I guess you can tell I'm excited
@@MakeTheMusic It's ok for now. Beats spending 100,000 on a digital console masquerading as analog like the Neve genesis black. The 2400 sounds like the oldschool Tascam stuff from 40 years ago. Now if I could write a song I'd be golden... 😂

You're welcome to the REAPER family!

Sounds like you're set! I'm jealous of your rig haha

Most important feature indeed
Changing the appearance and themes in Reaper just scratches the surface of its flexibility. You can customize just about everything in Reaper!!!
Yessir!
I always thought it was part of Reaper's charm that it looks like a university project. To be fair Pro Tools still does! 😁
Haha! Very true!
I mean ableton is cool too but it looks like an excel sheet.
Agreed.
can you please help me? i have the same logic theme as you showed by my send area randomly disappreaed not i only see the plugin slots :(
Send me an Instagram DM
Guess it's time for other DAW's to look like Reaper..
Lol. Maybe!
Sadly I was unable to find a cakewalk theme 'sigh'
Dang. Yeah, I don't if anyone's made one.
The Cakewalk theme for Reaper is called "Echolot"
@@ranajoyshil Thank-you!
I am following the kink you provided and not seeing an option to download the themes.
Enter your email into the box on the page then I know where to send the templates.
There's a paid pro tools theme for Reaper which looks better than real pro tools lol but it's like $20. But I honestly prefer the ReaperTips theme.
Gotcha. The free themes are amazing for what you get!
Where do you find the paid themes? 😅
@@Unreal989 Reaper forum, TH-cam, or just search on google lol.
@@MakeTheMusic I've only used free themes so far but that paid pro tools theme for Reaper looked better than native pro tools lmao.
I would be impressed if the "ableton" tracks were on the right 😂
I believe you can make that happen reaper...
