I've used just about every DAW under the sun with the exception of a few. There is no better DAW than Reaper It's stable, it's fast and does everything I need it to do.
Totally agree! I was ProTools user, but REAPER is "the real-tool" in studio, so easy to customize EVERYTHING I need for my workflow and that`s all for fair price. Only con for REAPER is plugin`s graphics - to many recording folks this seems little bit hard to accept and work with as there are no flashy meters with colorful designs... but hey, all you need to know, is what each slider does and work with it!
Very helpful! I'd heard about Tucan plugins but didn't realize they were a free add-on to Reaper. Thank you! Also, where can I hear this song? Love it.
Thanks! Glad you found it useful. I'm finishing up a CD with this song on it on the next couple of months. Head over to KeithLivingston.com for updates :-)
@@PhlaymzTV I've had ReaPack installed for so long I don't remember how many are in the box. It's a simple install though. If you want to find out, just open the FX browser and type J'S for a list.
Good question. Not really. I like them on the master, but the monitoring bus is fine. I've got slate vsx on the monitoring bus, so I'd have to make sure the meters are before that, but that's easy enough.
All plug-ins in this video are available for Reaper. Some are made by Cockos, the company that makes Reaper. Some are made by other folks but written in the JSFX format, specifically for Reaper. One of the best things about Reaper is the community.
This is the only video I've found so far going into this much detail about mastering with reaper plug-ins. Big thanks.
Glad you liked it.

This is awesome, the best demonstration of mastering with reaper only!

You should try the JS Inflator, the recreation of the sonnox inflator. Really good in the mixbus/master track, also great for Mastering
Thanks for the tip! I'll do that.
Where can I listen to this song, I liked it
Wow, this is a very interesting and well done video!
Especially for noobs like me😀
Thanks! :-)
Thank you! You're the best!
Thank you!
Feel like I’m missing the Tukan plugins? Are these just with version 7+? I only can get 6.9
@@davidjames298 they're available for your version. Check the video description for a link if you don't see them installed.
ReEq is not available anymore.?
ReEQ is available, same as always.
How many of these plugins are available "out the box"? I dont think ive ever seen any JS plugins this extensive in my version. I still have 5

@@NLNPNL yea soon as I get off work I'm digging into all of this.
Hi, is there a particular reason to have all the metering plugins on the master 2Bus instead of the monitoringFX tab ?

I just have to say, thanks 😊😊😊
Thank you too!
Very interesting!!
Glad you think so!
