Idea: you could get a smaller Switch dock housing kit to make it even more portable. While third party docks could potentially brick the Switch, there are dock housing kits you can buy online that, with a little bit of DIY, can get the guts from the Switch dock and put them in a plastic housing that has a way smaller form factor compared to the Nintendo taco dock.
Back in college, I used to walk around and set up Smash Wii U on campus. I had one of those GAEMS TV Briefcases which held enough space for a Wii U, 4 Gamecube Controllers, and all the necessary cords. I'd find a TV in one of the hallways near some chairs and an outlet. I'd plug in the setup (Only needed one plug), hook up the HDMI to the TV, and start playing. If no TV was available, I'd use the TV in the GAEMS case. Chances are, someone would walk by who was willing to do a quick 1v1, and we set up the College's video game club like that. Always tried to replicate that kind of portable setup with a switch, and this is the best setup I've seen thus far. Props!

I use a slightly different setup with a portable dock dongle powered with just a anker battery bank which can power the dock just through usb-c and I just hijack any tv I come across since a projector is too expensive for me

another way to do portable gaming, there are mobile screens that takes usb power and hdmi in, no need for dark rooms :-)
Just shove your switch into the tv boom problem done it's on the tv but the problem is your tv is now broke sorry if you actually did try this
