- After years of putting it off - after avoiding parts of the internet for YEARS, and after being able to say I am COMPLETELY spoiler free - I have given in to the internet’s requests, and watched Stranger Things for the first time...ever.
Yes! This is my first time watching Stranger Things, and my first time reacting to it as well (obviously), but still! This is a momentous occasion for me, and I hope for you as well! Set in the 1980s, this thriller/supernatural mystery series is a worldwide sensation - and I can see why! Only three episodes in and it’s already a brilliant show that I fully admit to being ashamed for not having seen. But now I have! Join us before the men in hazmat suits come for us all! (I hope Barb is okay!!)

Jacqui is on point with how well-written this series is. If you can predict plot points based on characters logic, natural progression, preconceived notions of movie tropes but offering slight twist to make it new, is what makes shows like this special. So glad you guys are reacting to it!!

I've been bingeing Stranger Things reactions because I'm SOOOO hyperfixated right now, and OMGGGGG, y'all's reactions have been the absolute funniest so far, and I'm only on the first video! 😂 Loooove the energy here
I had totally forgotten how baby the kids were in season 1, and I did a rewatch quite recently!! Also, yeah, the lighting choices are consistently on point for pretty much the whole show.

It's great seeing you react to this. I've watched all the seasons out so far and have enjoyed this show, but haven't gone back to rewatch. Rewatching with you gives me a nice nostalgia feeling for the show, plus I love your witty comments.
WR plays mom so well, my heart hurt and admired her. Reminds me of my mom.
I love that you're starting Stranger Things from the beginning. I'm also a late comer to the series and it's hard to find current reactions to the earlier seasons. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

Has mention by Jacqui, the gang is very reminiscent of The Goonies. Stranger Things like to pick on classic tv/movies from the era it’s set in, the 80’s for Easter egg references. Like the scene with the little girl (43:53) is pulling from Poltergeist, the essence of.

I put it off a long time watching the show, I ended up waiting shortly after the third season. I was kind of hesitant because the main group were kids, and I’m usually not a fan of shows with kids as the main actors because i feel like they usually over act out things and it takes away from immersion into the show. The kids were fantastic though in this and were all fantastic actors! After I started it, I was hooked fast! Really hope you guys enjoy it!

You literally 'pop' in such a good way. Here's the strange part. For some reason, I feel like if you were wearing a curly silver wig, house dress with coordinating shawl and knee-high stockings (oh and white shoes of course) , you could do such a funny impersonation of Thelma Harper (a.k.a. Mama) - - If you aren't familiar with this show, look it up. You actually look like you could be related to Vicki Lawrence when she was young AND your voice kind of reminds me of hers.
