I noticed that there are "tow mirror support brackets available" if the factory mirros where not tow/extendable style. Do I need those additional support brackets to instal tow/extendable aftermarket mirros? Or can I get by without them? Thanks in advance
I'm sorry Trail Ridge, you missed a BIG part/step. There are brackets that have to be installed into the door for the Tow Mirrors if the vehicle wasn't equipped with them prior. I see in your video the brackets are not present, so you should have installed them before installing the tow mirrors. There won't be an immediate failure, but months or a few years down the road, that tow mirror is going to destroy the door without the brackets.
