I hate to say it because I'm a clark fan but Carter is the best player on that team. Her game is nice. I hate that, but shes so quick and so fluid it's a very beautiful style she has. Beautiful shot but I dont like her. She's growing on me though. She's been actually maturing in the limelight and letting her play do her talking. Reese has been regressing though.

Watch again - it was even worse. She passed it out of the quad team, and then got open, and asked for the ball back AGAIN. Cardoso was the only one who wanted it to go to her (hand gesture), but i give Cardoso a pass - she's too nice of a person. The rest of Angel's team refused. And it was ONLY THEN that Angel walked off the court, feeling betrayed by her teammates. But they did her a favor.

Yep, I said this during the first Liberty game on Twitter. Angel gave up on that game (and the rematch as well), all she wanted was her double-double and fk everyone else. If you go back and re-watch the game, you could see on her face how pissed Chennedy Carter was. I didn't like Carter that much prior to that, but gdamn, she showed the heart of a warrior and almost single-handedly kept that game competitive right to the very end. She looked like the only person on her team who actually wanted to win.

There are unwritten rules in sports that fall under sportsmanship and professionalism. In baseball you are up 14-0 you dont steal bases, nobody is playing hard like that its cheap. Even for those who may not be fans of the WNBA, it's undeniable that the effort, discipline, and perseverance these athletes demonstrate are remarkable and deserving of respect. Instead of detracting from Angel’s accomplishments, we should celebrate the competitive nature of sports that fuels such remarkable performances. Angel’s streak is impressive on its own merits and deserves to be celebrated, showcasing the true spirit of athletic competition.

I feel like Angel and Caitlin are both breathing a little easier now that the streak is over. Caitlin actually settled for less than 10 assist against the lynx when we all know that was the way she was pulling her Double doubles off while the whole streak thing was going on. I feel like they both can relax and get back to just enjoying the second half of the season as rookies that both have lived up to the hype.

Angel has been getting a double double since high school, she broke records in double doubles at her perspective schools, this is part of her game so she will get more! It doesn’t matter what the non supporters say nor does it matter what the teammates want for her, she has to do her! Period!
All Angel Reese gonna do is make a better double double record once she’s able to get it easier by scoring more fluently and nobody from that young group not gonna be able to catch that one she just had… let alone the new one she’s gonna make and break!

Like you say, the streak ending is probably a good thing. She was forcing it too much lately and her team seemed more focused on that than winning. She needs to refocus on her rebounding which she's great at and work on her finishing which she is awful at.
Angel just was just tried too hard. She misses about three wide open shots because she didn't use the board. A foul should have been called.
Congrats to Reese for the streak anyway. Hope the media and basketball experts weigh in, and tell us what it means when a rookie leads the league in rebounds AND scores at least 10 points in 15 straight games.
