Snoot I have a 2012 Ultimate but it doesn’t have the turning headlights option. Will getting the KDM headlights give my Equus an error message or is there a mod for that?
I'm debating on getting a set of these. Did you figure out a way to not have the halogen light on for the drl? I have a 16 ultimate and hate the Yellow halogen
I swapped in an LED light but they don't have dual-mode for DRL & high beam, so when they're on it's basically the high beam. I just run the regular lights all the time.
It was so long ago I don’t remember. Probably a month. The install is easy enough to do yourself. Just unbolt the front bumper then unplug the headlights then unbolt the headlights and do that all in reverse to install the new ones. If you don’t want to do it yourself I can’t imagine someone charging more than an hour of labor to do it.

Surprised you dont have the bird on the hood or the foreign grill, looks awesome though! Heavy cost but i think i will get them, how much was the labor to get them on? I bought the grill $300, the hood ornament $40, and korean window rain guards $100, labor was $250 to put them on. 2014 white ultimate
I'm probably going to get the vertical spoke grill and then wrap all the tacky chrome on the car in satin black, but I'm not a fan of the "bird" statue hood ornament.
@@snoot9772 i was thinking the same on my car, as far as wrapping the chrome on the very bottom of my bumper in black, i also was about to do the yellow fog lights, i think the birds pretty cool, not many cars have ornament s...but man, i have gotten alot of people asking what kind of car it is, ive had cars before that i hooked up but never had people compliment me on them, but the equus is just original! I feel you on the bird, but the foreign vertical grill runs really nice with the hood lines and the bird
I was a proud owner of a 2012 until some 19 year old teenage girl totally destroyed it in a rear-end accident... but anyway do not put that ridiculous bird on the hood of the car I think that looks very tacky.

They were plug and play for the 2011 and introduced on Korean models in 2013 or 2014 so they should work for the 2016, yes. I'm super jealous of the LCD gauge cluster that comes in 2016 models btw. Would love to see a video demo of one.
@@snoot9772 I wish I had the full LCD, I have the Signature though it is a bigger screen, and updated graphics, not the full LCD. Nervous about the Signature model not being plug and play. Did you just take it to the dealership or did you have to do it through a independent shop?
Did you get around to installing the LED HighBeam bulbs? If so, did the DRL feature work properly, or did/do you need to add additional wiring / load resistors?
I did install LED high beam bulbs but the DRL feature does not work unfortunately. When the regular beam is off, the highbeam is on, so I mostly drive drive around with regular beam on.
@@snoot9772 So the DRL comes on during the day, but the LED bulbs are at full brightness? If so, I may have a solution. I ordered drl resistor kits and 9006 to h7 connector adapters from ijdmtoy.com that I haven't installed / tested yet. They don't list compatibility for the Equus, but one configuration or another should work. I also have a 2012 ultimate.

@Snoot the resistor kit arrived and before I installed it, I decided to try just the LED bulbs to see what would happen... they worked perfectly! Both highbeam and DRL function exactly as they should (highbeams very bright and good light spread, DRLs dimmer). I bought H7 LED 50w 6000k Aukee bulbs off Amazon. I guess I should have tried the bulbs before ordering the resistor kit! I was convinced from everything I found online that the kit would be needed, but I was wrong. BTW, I also installed matching H11 Aukee LED bulbs in the fog lights.
Broker Stas Not a bad link just the only place I’ve seen them new. You can try finding them used here autoparts.beforward.jp/search/HYUNDAI/CENTENNIAL/ They may not come with all parts though. Someone I talked to who ordered from there said the ballasts and bulbs were missing and had to be ordered separately. So you’d probably still end up paying over $1000 for used lights.
The headlight housings are the Korean versions so they're only on eBay or other parts sites that import OEM parts from outside the US. The high/low bulbs David Lemieux listed in his thread below seem to work for him. I may purchase those at some point as well.
