I think.... (dare I say it) I just fell in live with crochet braids. Girl you did that!!!! Loved how these look so natural even before you blow dried then. Great tutorial. Amazing results. New Subbie here.
+Keenya “SuthurnNaturalBelle” Williams Yes she did. She did that style! Crochet braids typically have a reputation of looking "ghetto" and cheap but even close up it looks natural. She looks like a model. AMAZING!!
So glad to see someone shed some light on what us natural 4C hair women go through to straighten our hair! LOL. My hair is not as long as that but it's definitely getting there! I absolutely loved this video! I absolutely love the hair! Installed as is, it looks exactly as my hair looks like after I have blow-dried it. When blow dried, it's exactly what my hair looks like after I have detangled it, hot combed it and flat ironed it.... so yes it is a TON of work but the final look is exactly what my hair looks like after I put all that work in. Also, you're absolutely right, the style does not last very long without constant maintenance. That's why I'm so interested in this video...but like others have mentioned, this crochet style is very time-consuming and so is doing all of that to my own natural hair so I probably will be going to a professional. Still thank you so much for the video!! Will definitely use this as my main reference when I go to the salon so they better get it right LOL!!
Now that I watch this, this could actually be a really good way to finish a full weave without a closure. No hair left out but still looks really natural! Thanks for the idea!
This was the best Crochet Braid video I've seen. Thank you so very much....this I will actually try. I am so loving the style....Very nice and natural looking....very nice!!!
oh my goodness! I'm doing this! why don't people do this instead of weave! it looks so natural. I was looking at the thumbnail like where's the braids this girl is displaying her own hair in the picture why.. But omg this is a total game changer! it probably takes forever to do and take out but it looks worth it.
OMG @ TheBrilliantBeauty where u been all my hair life? I have been natural for about 3 years and I alternate btwn braids and my naturally curly texture and will DEFINITELY add this style to the rotation. dont know how good it will turn out, but i'll keep perfecting it. thanks girl. much love everyone.
I used your video to do this hairstyle for my birthday! I loved it. At first I was nervous to put heat on the synthetic hair but it took the heat really well. I straightened it more than once, cut it and curled it. it looked great. I'll definitely do it again.
I did this after watching your video! Thank you so much. I've been getting so much compliments. I've had them in for about 3 weeks and definitely doing them again
Just ordered this hair today and im sorry yall but im gonna take it to the salon and have a professional do it for me cos ive watched this video like 50 times and I still don't get it.😣😅 I'm going to Africa for a month and im freaking out cause these TH-cam makeup and hair tutorials are very challenging.😭 Chemistry and biology I can handle but these, not so much. More power to yall that have the talent.🤗😶
ho-lee-shit!!! I log into youtube and this was on my homescreen. Ah-MAY-ZINGGG. It looks so reeeeal! I initially thought it was a straightening tutorial for natural hair...or a video about shrinkage, boy was I pleasantly surprised. I am sooo gonna try this. great job, dear
I did this hairdo for my 30th birthday and I got many many compliments and lots of people thought that it was my natural hair! Loved it! I couldnt find the hair you used but I used another one and it came out beautifully. Thanks girl!
Beautiful!! I’m searching for this hair on Amazon. Now. I started to do my own hair and love the look of this style/ technique! Thank you Sis! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤️
OMGosh! Awesome video. It looks so natural. I always wondered how I could have crochet braids without the knot being visible. I am trying the beautiful look. Thanks.
+Brittany Penman yes i read u loud and clear....if i could do that i can do my own sew-ins and this..but alas i can not...pooh..my mother can but she braids in a weird state of braiding really thick and uneven....
+Brittany Penman Learn how to do flat twist, I know how to do the crappiest flat twist but it doesnt matter because it gets the job done.... And its not visible.
You are beautiful and so are your results. I'm sure no one cares but technically this is not a crochet hook. It's called a latch hook and is used to make latch hook rugs and what your doing isn't crocheting its latch hooking. None of that matters because it came out Beatiful and your tutorial was beautifully done. I just thought maybe someone would be interested in the proper name.
serinitythepoet Yeah I guess...But not the braids though, only the fake hair,we have to do the same thing when we are taking out box braids,I things it is the same procedure
This style is on FLEEK! Does anyone even say that anymore?! Oh, well....I fell in LOVE and am thinking about getting this exact same style. I'm tired of doing my hair and want to be able to do different things w/o ruining the state of my hair. I am 10 months post relaxer (transitioning) and this is GREAT for me because CHILE...this new growth ain't no joke! LOL
Peace!!! This is a great video. Beautiful style. FYI: For those who live in the Baltimore Md area, if you are looking for the Outre X-Pression Cuevana Twist Braid that is being used in the video, it is REALLY hard to find in the local area. Most of the supply stores (and I called at least 30) carry other brands but if you're like me, when I try a new style I want to use EVERYTHING that was used in the tutorial. Beauty Outlet at Mondawmin Mall on the first floor next to Popeye's sells it for $5.99 per pack and they have a wide variety of colors. Just thought I would save you all some trouble of having to order online!!!
omg thank you for this video I was searching for how to do this and nobody has done it better nor did they explain how to do the invisible part! I'm going silver and I wanted to let my hair relax from the bleach and dye for while. Once again thank you thank you!! Liked and subscribed!
I had this mostly done at a salon yesterday (I CANNOT cornrow my own hair) and finished it at home and I have to say that it looks AMAZING! You make the blow-dry process look easy, I found it to be tedious and uncomfortable but DDDAAYYYUUUMMM it looks good! I did follow up with a flat iron to get the look I was going for and that was perfect. Oh, and electric hot rollers (if you have them) work GREAT for a quick curl that lasts all night. Thanks so much for posting!
I have this hair in right now. I like that it blow dries very well as well as the use of the flat iron. It doesn't tangle much but it sheds like hell. I probably won't buy this hair again though.
It looks good and you've got skills, but as a crafty person and I know my tools, it bugs me to the core that everyone keeps calling it crochet hook when it's a latch hook. I crochet and I have done some latch hook work with hair and yarn, so it's totally two different things. Now some of you may not think it's a big deal , but for those who don't know what it really is and go looking for it in stores to ask about them, they will get directed to the wrong thing. Then you're going to be saying the person that tried to help you didn't know what they were talking about when it's you who didn't know. JS
They sell latch hooks in the hair stores. They know what to direct them to. Also, at least around here, people were using small crochet hooks for this. That was a long time ago.
+Lovingthenaturalme Point taken, but you still didn't get mine. People that are new to the whole "crochet braids" thing may not know where to get the latch hooks. And some still do use the actual crochet hook, it's just easier to use the latch hook.
I understood. I stated in case anyone needed to know where to find them. I live in a small town but we have several options for buying them. Surrounding smaller towns have fewer options.
+Trish Lawrence you're right! I went to the beauty supply store and asked for a "hair crochet needle" and they couldn't help me until I showed them a pic. They were Asian though, a black woman would have known what I meant. Hence why I wish there were more black owned beauty supply stores :(
+iAmAmazonn LOL The one here, or the one closest to my house is owned by Chinese ppl. And you have to remember too, that some beauty supply stores may not even carry them. It just urks me that ppl keep calling it a crochet hook when it's not.
TheBrilliantBeauty What is that video called , if you don't mind lol my sister wants me to do her hair and I want her to be able to freestyle it , put it up do different parts and such 😄😄😇
I just got this hair and was really excited to blow it out. I tested a strand (I did it without installing it as I didnt want to pull on my own hair) and it worked perfectly - you have to use the highest setting on your hairdryer to get it straight and to also get that shine - but as you said in your tutorial, it's extremely long winded - I did one and thought "damn this is going to take a few hours to do each strand one by one".... Then I remembered I brought a similar hair ages ago thats straight but with a kinky texture! Im in the UK but there are quiet a few sellers on Amazon who sell it, just search 'Pre-stretched Braiding Hair'
AND I LIIIIIIIIIIVE QUEEN U BETTA COME ALL THE WAY THROUGH!!!! IM SO GONNA DO THIS AND I CANT CROCHET FOR SHXT BUT IMMA TRY. U MADE IT LOOK SO EASY!!!!!
Did this last weekend. LOVE. I used the Cuban braid hair which has the same texture as the outre. I also cut the hair into two since I wanted shoulder length and I used two packs in total. Only downside is that the shedding is real but if you dip the hair in hotwater and conditioner then it shines more and shed a little less Thanks for this video! This is basically now my to-go style 👍🏾
wow! I love it!!! I had been searching for a way to be able to wear a top bun & I think if I do this invisible knot in the front and use this hair it will be perfect! I'm natural so I didn't want my edges looking crazy unblended with the silky yaky crochet hair ❤

This was the best Crochet Braid video I've seen. Thank you so very much....this I will actually try. I am so loving the style....Very nice and natural looking....very nice!!!

weave lasts longer than the crochets
@@lalaland2199 it seems like crochet is easier to do touch ups on though

Love this! Just did it on my hair!
HouseOfAesthetics How long did it last? Does it tangle?
meanwhile I'm getting tired just by brushing my hair....and I have short hair. Just one word, respect !
Ur invisible part on straight hair is da best I've seen
OMGosh! Awesome video. It looks so natural. I always wondered how I could have crochet braids without the knot being visible. I am trying the beautiful look. Thanks.
genius, the parting looks completely natural 😍
So you can wear this all the time, kinda like a sew in? I think that was cute!
+Melanie Mcdowell definitely! Thank you :)
Yes :) and your scalp can breath allot better?
Can you put this style in a ponytail? And can you use the invisible part method around the perimeter of your hair? Great tutorial btw :)
I was just about to comment the same question😁
Yes you can do the invisible part around your perimeter
ugh I wish I knew how to braid my own hair :-(
+Brittany Penman yes i read u loud and clear....if i could do that i can do my own sew-ins and this..but alas i can not...pooh..my mother can but she braids in a weird state of braiding really thick and uneven....

crazymusicgrl ..oooohhh thanks never thought of that...
I feel that in my soul. my cornrows are just loose and horrible
+Brittany Penman I bought a manikin head and taught myself how to braid. There's many videos that can help you.
Girl you just wrecked the game with this!!! It looks great on you!!!
I had NO idea that weave could be done this way. I really did not! Now I am going to try it and get some color!
You are beautiful and so are your results. I'm sure no one cares but technically this is not a crochet hook. It's called a latch hook and is used to make latch hook rugs and what your doing isn't crocheting its latch hooking.

This comment is so cute, bet you do crocheting and knitting in your spare time. Old ppl are so adorable ❤️
+Ko Ko Boo. I started knitting and crocheting at 16 and knew a girl who started at 7. It's not just for old people 😒
Ko Ko I literally laughed out loud. 😂
+Phalicia Wencil girl. I hate when people say that lol
Phalicia Wencil tell me where I said it's only for old people. Annoying ass.
Love it and thank you doll!! You slayed!!
thank you babe! loved your video as well!
Man. My question is how do you take it out?
yh lol
You cut it out
+dalveny lencastre do you cut the whole thing?
serinitythepoet Yeah I guess...But not the braids though, only the fake hair,we have to do the same thing when we are taking out box braids,I things it is the same procedure
+dalveny lencastre yes you cut right by the knot. as you take the braids down the extra pieces left over will fall rt out
This is so pretty and so natural looking. Definitely doing this when I get my hair done soon.
I'm in love with this.... I always get my crochet hair curly, but this here is a GAME CHANGER FOR ME!!!! I'M TRYING THIS A.S.A.P.
Very beautiful and natural loooking
thank you babe
+Freedom Styles yes I agree
how long does the hair stay straight for before you need to blow-dry it again?
OMG AMAZING !!! I gonna try THIS!
Super beautiful, looks so natural. you did your thing on this style!!!!!!
What!! Slaaaaayage for real!!!This is one of the best crochet videos! you look amazing!
Your lipstick😍😍
the game has been changed
Can you put it in a ponytail or bun without anything showing? I know this is probably a dumb question but I'm brand new to this stuff
Not a dumb question at all, that's hella important
Unless you do the invisible knot method on the whole perimeter of the head, you'll only be able to do low buns and low ponytails.
I absolutely love this! I think I want to get crochet braids now after watching this!
This style is on FLEEK! Does anyone even say that anymore?! Oh, well....I fell in LOVE and am thinking about getting this exact same style. Can you pull it into a high ponytail?
Probably not unless you do knotless braids around the entire perimeter of your head
Ok the thing that's bugging me is would I be able to put it up in a bun?
Nae Nae Breeze I know I’m late but you can put it in a low parted bun
Depends on your braids pattern
if I knew how to do this man I would have my entire life.

u can straight them with an iron ?!?!!
Yes! Check out "that's laudie" on YT - I think that's her name. I'll show u guys on my next style
Can I do it with a Bangs with this hair do?
+TheBrilliantBeauty is the hair easy to maintain like when you sleep
I have this hair in right now. I like that it blow dries very well as well as the use of the flat iron. It doesn't tangle much but it sheds like hell. I probably won't buy this hair again though.

#blackgirlmagic!
Can't you just make the whole front of the hair an invisible part(or whatever it's called),so you won't have the same part every single day ??
Of course! I did that in my most recent video - so you have the option to do a part and put your hair into a ponytail if you'd like
thanks !!
TheBrilliantBeauty
TheBrilliantBeauty What is that video called , if you don't mind lol my sister wants me to do her hair and I want her to be able to freestyle it , put it up do different parts and such 😄😄😇

i was amazed. had no idea one could do all that with that hair! thanks
that is amazing how it turned out....I am inspired to use this hair type now instead of the straighter less natural looking hair
I have this hair on right now, and is AWESOME, I have yet to blow dry it, but loving the texture so far
This is the best version I've seen yet. You did that!!!😍
AND I LIIIIIIIIIIVE QUEEN U BETTA COME ALL THE WAY THROUGH!!!! IM SO GONNA DO THIS AND I CANT CROCHET FOR SHXT BUT IMMA TRY. U MADE IT LOOK SO EASY!!!!!
Everything was perfect! And you just pretty for no reason. Lol. Just flawless!:)
Great job and thanks for the video!❤
That lipstick is everything! And love the hair!
Did this last weekend. LOVE. I used the Cuban braid hair which has the same texture as the outre. I also cut the hair into two since I wanted shoulder length and I used two packs in total.
Only downside is that the shedding is real but if you dip the hair in hotwater and conditioner then it shines more and shed a little less

Which type of Cuban twist braids?

wow! I love it!!! I had been searching for a way to be able to wear a top bun & I think if I do this invisible knot in the front and use this hair it will be perfect! I'm natural so I didn't want my edges looking crazy unblended with the silky yaky crochet hair ❤
love love this technique looks absolutely natural.
this is great I love the invisible technique it looks so much better that way I'm going to try it next time
this video inspired me to do the same. i got cheaper hair but it still looks good! this is defo a go to style especially if ur on a budget ladies😄
Grrrrl, you're flawless. Thanks for the tutorial. I will be crochet braiding this weekend. I'm freaking😳, but you made me less stressed.
Hey girl. Thanks so much for this video! I love how cheap the hair is and how real it looks!
It's BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Love the invisible part. Thank you.
