My mama used to crochet my hair back in like 2000.
Had the same style it was honestly the best thing I have ever done to my hair. It is so pretty and easy to keep up and the longer you keep it in well for me the more natural it looked. People thought it was my real hair🙌🏾

Our hair is so versatile...we can wear it bone straight, curly (like naturally curly), kinky, wavy, in braids, in curls (using a curling iron) dreads, an afro or standing straight on top of our heads if we really wanted to (WITHOUT using a bunch of hairspray to hold the style). It a shame we were taught to hate it!!!
Just a tiny newsflash blacks do rock and all but and Caucasian Indian and Asian can do that there naturally curly kinky wavy and bone straight races besides black👍🏽

Easy, Cut the hair off and find your final braid.Start unbraiding that braid and the pieces will come off with the unbraiding. Takes me 35-40 minutes to take down.

OMG, I have never seen this done or heard of crochet braids before. Women have taken hair to a whole new artform! I'm still in shock that you did this alone and it only took 6 hours. It took me 5 years to grow my hair out that long after a natural chop.I really like this versatility! You rock, awesome job. If I had a daughter, I would try doing it on her, I think this looks more natural, more healthy than the sewed in with thread or the glued in!

The hair looks safe & secure. This looks like it takes a while to do. How long? Probably nowhere near as long as individual braids but 3 knots? That hair ain't coming out! LOL, not until you're ready. I like that. And you used such small strands. And only 3 bags?!? WHAT?!
Every time I do my individual braids, even braiding them small, my head takes up 6-8 bags.... my goodness. To do my hair like that... I would love it! But I would definitely shake it like a Polaroid picture like you did because that just seems essential 😉

My hair won't hold a curl at all. :( Sure, I suppose there's lots of plusses to pin straight hair. *shrugs But there's lots of plusses to kinky and curly hair as well and I want great big voluminous hair sometimes too!!!!!! This is so beautiful, yup, totally jelly over here. haha. :) Maybe I should do this to myself and then I can have great big hair once in awhile.

I always found this video helpful when I first started doing crochet braids. I love this hair. The only drawback I found is that it sheds and gets tangled.

Poonie89 did you try it yet? I have had this hair installed before and 2 weeks was when it looked best, after that it’s a bit high maintenance but if you go shorter (about shoulder length) it tends to be manageable up to a month x

Iti Ii once you have it in you can just cut the hair shorter to make it easier, and then again semi close to the braiding pattern but not too close ( like an inch or so ) and take them out ( the left over hair part ) like you would a braid or twist
