IDK if Jev or anybody will read this, but **HEAVY SPOILERS FOR SPACE MARINE 1**: 11:34 Titus was also the protagonist of Space Marine 1, in the first game he was the captain of Ultra Marines 2nd Company (the position that Acheran assumes in this game). Unknown to Titus, he actually has a special resistance to these energies which causes him to be unaffected even when hit by powerful blasts of the stuff. His Lieutenant, a rule-loving and anal zealot named Leandros, witnesses him being unaffected by all this shit and thinks that it's suspicious so at the end of the game- even though Titus kills the 2 main bad guys and basically saves the planet- he reports him for signs of corruption and heresy. Without having any other surviving witnesses to attest to his true actions because his Sergeant Sidonus, who actually fucked with Titus, died during the fight and not wanting to shame his Space Marine chapter & company, he was taken by other Inquisitors to be interrogated and tortured. For 100 years after that Titus endured the torture and was never found to have been corrupted, until the Inquisitor in charge of his interrogation was possessed by a Daemon and another Space Marine chapter showed up & executed his ass.
