@@eyekandy3000 YASS!! My hair has grown longer then it has ever been in my life. Its bra strap when I pull it straight.. i want it to be that same length when its curly, then I will maintain that length. It's amazing. Long curly hair still requires some work, but nothing like my natural texture by itself. I LOVE my Gina Curl.
@@cahliyahbush3874 I would NEVER put that kind of heat on my hair. You. Will get heat damage, and that has to get cut off because it can't curl. And yes, I braid my hair all the time. Especially in the winter months.
I had the same person curl my whole head and one side always seems longer and fuller. It is the density, porosity and texture of my hair not the curlers. It was the same when I was natural. And it still takes the longest time for my Gina curl to dry in the same spot that it took longest for my natural hair to dry. My hair is fine too. Yours came out great!
Looking very pretty doesn't look thin to me. I got a Gina Curl my hair really thinned out was thin anyway but I think that's because I put color in it. It's been almost a year O still think I will go get a retouch because before I put the permanent color in it it was very pretty. Thank for sharing hair is very pretty 👍🏽💯🙏🏽
Thanks Lillian. In fact, when I re-watched the video, I changed my mind about the "thinness". You are right. Doesn't look that thin. I guess I was looking at all the other ladies on her instagram who have very full hair and comparing that to mine. I need to stop doing that and appreciate what God gave me. I do not know the name of the solution but I do know it is the same solution that makes your hair stay in whatever state you put it in. So when I did the straight variation, that same solution left my hair straight coz she did not put no perm rods. My hair just hung. However, that same solution, when she put it in my hair and then put the perm rods, made my hair curly.
I hadn’t noticed that curl former step before. They always said it was just heat to make curls. Update: the solution is setting lotion and heat protectant. It’s the rollers and heat for 3 hours that make curls
My hair has been relaxed all my life and I don’t have a problem with it it’s very healthy I was wondering if I can switch from relaxer to Gina curls without starting over
You have to start over. Different chemicals. Some people with a texturizer/texlax can maybe get away with it but even then it’s a gamble your hair won’t break off
This is exactly why im here. I relaxed my hair in ab early august late july and i miss my curls n it really didnt help as far as styling because my hair still poofs up so bad. I want to put a perm in it…. Many ppl say not to that i just need to wait it out. :( even 5 mins should be enough for some curl to come back
I did 3 perms to get it right. Gave me some wave back and my outgrowth gave curls. Ive had ab 3 cuts sonce then and dyes + 1 ab 15 mins bleach w 40vol developer (forgot i had such a high volume in) hairs alright check out channel to see stuff even the perm attempts are there. Maybe after perming i should left stuff in longer, waited longer for some revival used some leave in conditioners.z. I recently got 3min miravle AUSSIE deep conditioner and have used it ab 3 times. Recently got an a lone bob cut - like 2-3 wks ago! (1/20/24) & & my hair health was BNAGON. Turned around wothon a week got colour corrector stripped the black box dye out (acted more like bleach, never experienced that) threw some brown ash something or other on- now my bairs a bit flat again so working on that. Its all on my channel i think.
You do though. Relaxers are hydroxide based the Ginacurl is thioglycolate based. You’ll get a chemical haircut when the chemicals overlap. That’s how I big chopped 2 months ago lol

What happeneds if you flatiron it? Can you still get braids and wigs

This is interesting as Gina says her curl doesn't feature a 2nd chemical processing. Is that definitely a curl former added before rolling?

My relaxed hair was about 12 inches. I cut it off to do the Gina Curl
