You know the Xbox One base model is underpowered when I can find a GTX 275 for free on Facebook during the gpu drought that performs the same if not better
The whole "TV is better, therefore consoles are great" kind of argument is always funny to me, considering I am hearing this sitting in front of my computer, which is positioned in my living room and connected to my monitor and my tv.
Perhaps next time I watch this kind of video I should watch it on my pc via my tv while sitting on my sofa, hoping the argument comes up (Chances are apparently very high). Just for the sake of it.
Some console peasants always use this as an argument that "You can only play your PC at a desk with a monitor and that you cant sit on your sofa" with you PC hooked up via HDMI cable to your TV. Also some console peasants even say you can only watch Netflix Hulu and other streaming services on a console because PC can only play games also makes me laugh. Like when console peasants make their video arguments what are they using to edit and upload them to social media: 🤔, oh right a PC 🤣🤣
I plan on building another computer just to have it hooked up to my TV and have it as a media computer.

As a former sony pony, drop the console and do what you have to to get a cheap pc. For about an extra $100 you will get something at worse (most likely better) equal in power and get so much more of everything else. Games freedom mods editing files switch parts not paying for mp emulators i mean just everything. Trust me if you have even considered it go for it you will not be disappointed. I have seen the promised land and I couldn't go back even if i wanted to.

I've been rocking a dedicated living room PC for the better part of a year and it's pretty much become the only home theater device I use regularly at all. As far as I'm concerned it's better than set-top boxes for media consumption and better than consoles for playing games.
Oh look Sony exclusives are coming to PC essentially invalidating any possible advantages they had over PC.
I don't think Nintendo is serious about bringing games to PC. The article says Mario Kart Tour is adding keyboard and mouse support, because Google is wanting to expand Google Play to allow Windows users to play Android games via emulation. But there's a huge difference between adding keyboard support to Mario Kart Tour, and porting Mario Kart Tour or any other Mario Kart to native Windows, let alone something like a Steam release. For all we know, keyboard support is just a requirement that Google mandated.
Man, I'd love it if Nintendo DID start releasing their games on Steam though. It probably won't happen soon if ever, but a man can dream.

Getting my hands on my pc from nzxt was far easier than getting my hands on a series x. Just putting that out there. And it plays games a lot better….
I've played on consoles (PS1-4, Wii, Switch, etc) for 16 years and since 2017 when I bought a prebuilt pc, I hardly ever touched my consoles including the Switch. I've now upgraded my pc components the past 5 years and still believe pc is far superior.

I use my PC on my TV and on my monitor, GPU's have multiple TV/Monitor ports you don't need use your old PC on that TV just use your 3070.
They just yap yap yap non-stop. The problem is that they can't just shut up.
Funny, I've been playing Switch games on my PC exclusively for a while now. Like ALL of them.
Consoles are fine and I can understand how your average person may not care enough so they buy and game on a console whereas pc is more of an all restrictions are off for the more dedicated enthusiast, whether it be importance on framerates or fidelity or choice of games etc. There is no one size fits all imo which is why these "X vs Y" articles/videos tend to push buttons for people it seems.
I just upgraded my motherboard and cpu almost a year ago, and I had been running those parts since December of 2013.
Besides the fact that the articles pretty much is saying the same thing they say every year since 2006 . The PS5 can you play PS1 games no can you play PS2 games no can you play Nintendo 64 games no can you play Dreamcast games no can you PS3 games yes but you have to stream it you cannot download it.The PC can do all of this and more. Longevity on console is a myth and a fantasy and this is coming from somebody that owns a PS1 a PS2 slim a PS4 pro and a Xbox 360 1.5 and used to have a banging PC TV setup with 1080TI 8gb of RAM and I could play most games at medium to high settings at 60 FPS and it was great until the PC got pushed over and brick when I was at work I'm currently in the process of getting enough cash to make a new pc. my PS4 is getting its mileage. And yes I was one of the suckers that got the PS4 to play pantasy Star online 2 and it did not come out to the states for 8 years and it was censored and it was Xbox and PC exclusive fuck Sony and fuck consoles.
Nintendo will do this move simply because the switch can easily be emulated
I'm tired of hearing the exclusive games argument, there are way more pc exclusive game than console ones : MMOs, RTS, Simulations, Emulated games .

i really dont understand the point of this kind of fanboy argument.
one day an xbox fanboy gloating over the 'quick resume' function on his xbox, which to me is a bargain version of alt+tab and sleep function.
One of the things I can't understand is why do apps like Hulu for example would take so much time to load on let's say Xbox one.
I don't think they need that much processing power unless it was programmed by donkeys, lol literally a streaming service requiring more processing power, I thought they work to optimize their service in order for it to work on anything, including calculators lol, those services should work fine regardless of hardware.
As for games, of course the aging hardware is going to show it's age, I'm still baffled by the original Xbox one running the current games, obviously the performance sucks big time but still it's quite interesting, well I guess devs want as large of an audience as they can get, even if that means supporting the Xbox one.
Now the question is, what is the price that other players on PC or current gen consoles are paying just so that a game can run on Xbox one or let's say a steam deck or a PS4.
Half life Alyx is a great showcase of how a game could benefit from the PC's versatility.
The PC obviously has more games than consoles, especially with the AA and indie releases, and some of the very best games are indie or AA games.

There are like only 5% percent of my friends who actually have knowledge of PC specifications, which hardware to choose for what resolution and fps. Having multiple options is great but that doesn't mean its not confusing. A PC is never just a plug n play system. Also if a ninth gen console can play games till 2030 then what's the problem? Its a good thing. It's weird to see someone who makes salt video getting salty.

I'm enjoying my used RX 580 from ebay thankfully not mined on, a RAM increase and long over due CPU upgrade seeing the gains all around, not being locked to only ONE digital store and paid online (ew) will deff get a 2 TB SSD or 4 TB come on prime day!

Had to be a gaming journalist. Not making any journalism at all... Why Is that the people that know jack shit about vídeo games de ones that get to be journalist of games. Making am article acting like pre builds are not a thing, so there you have your one time purchase and Is not like you dont have to get a new console on the next 8 years Is that you can't. The best you will ever get Is a new version like a slim version or something. That Is not an upgrade but pcs you can upgrade if you want. Mine has more than 5 years with a 1070 Ti and runs games quite well. Recently o got an issue with the power supply and having that exchanged was not difficult. Actually consoles are getting closer and closer to become pcs than ever. The only thing that Is a valid point would be exclusives that are not yet well emulated but that changes over time if Is not that the company itself brings it to pc.
Find me a pc that can play games at 4k for 500 dollars. I bet you won’t find it
You won't find it, yet you shouldn't try to make that bullshit argument. A gaming PC, especially handhelds, are ALWAYS worth every penny!
Find me a console that does consistent 4k60 without image upscaling for the vast majority of its library.
