@@RustyRoads Yeah I totally agree, M20 Pro should have hydraulic brakes, more torque, and a color display with more functionality. Fantastic first effort though, I'm gonna be riding this thing for a long time.
Yeah, unlike a motor cycle with a mono rear shock, you can't use a lowering link for the rear shock to also be lowered along with the front. Keep in mind you also may loose ground clearance and the pedals might be lower.
I’ll probably try a 165mm rear shock, it will shave an inch off of the stock one. Definitely good call on the clearance! I learned long ago to adjust my pedals before leaning haha now it’s muscle memory. Thanks for checking the video out Kevin 🤘🏽🐾

Excellent review as usual! I've had an Engwe folding ebike for a couple of years. Their pedal assist kicks in quickly, but the soft ramp up is so slow you tend to accelerate faster with your legs while pedaling, so the motor doesn't get the chance to propel you. Then a tap on the brakes at speed, and the whole lethargic ramp up begins again, taking quite a few seconds for the motor to catch up to the bikes speed. I think it's Engwe's way to increase range by forcing you to pedal harder to accelerate. I will say that bike has some of the best cable actuated brake I've experienced on a bicycle. They really feel hydraulic.
Ah ok that makes sense regarding the pedal assist. It would be so nice to be able to pedal while letting off the throttle, and being able to maintain your pace. I tried over and over but once you let off the throttle it slows down despite how hard you’re pedaling. This is definitely a throttle bike, ALTHOUGH.. it’s so light it’s super easy to pedal with the battery off when you’re in 2nd-3rd gear. Love it! Thanks for watching!

I have a problem with the M20. I got the bike yesterday, when I push the throttle all the way down and put it in mode 5, the bike only goes 5km/h, the regulator for the maximum speed in the setting cannot be raised, it is set to 25km/h and it is not possible to raise it higher, it simply does not work. I watched videos to hold the brake and gas, and only then to start the bike and after 20 seconds to release the brake and gas, but that doesn't work either. I wrote to the customer service at ENGWE, but their responses are very slow. Yesterday I got a response to go into the settings and raise the speed to max, I sent them a video that it just doesn't work. I'm still waiting for an answer. I was so looking forward to the M20 and in the end a huge disappointment. Has anyone had a similar problem?
Why didn’t you go dual battery with it and get that extended range bro? 13 ah is fairly terrible imo dude it’s only a decent bike if you have that 26ah of riding. That 13 would have me in panick mode too much from range anxiety😂 Edit: That sticky throttle just seems like some new bike type of misfortune. Hopefully you just need to break it in after a few rides.
I asked Engwe for the dual battery version but they told me they were out of stock. No biggie as that just makes the range test easier to record 😅 I’m planning on using the frame for a project bike. After our visit to powerful lithium I have the need for speed! Cheers!!
@@RustyRoads Oh yeah that might a decent frame for a nice upgrade. Might have some good plug and play options for mods somewhere out here in the e-world too. Power Lithium is great🔥They so such good work man and the performance I’ve been seeing out of the bikes they work on is incredible. I ever try to go 60 or 72v with a project I’m definitely going through them also. Good luck with that can’t wait to see what you come up with out of that Engwe bro.
Beware, I received mine on Friday with a major issue with the front fork that makes the bike unrideable. After emailing the company they are claiming they will send me parts to fix it myself with a wait time of 15 to 25 days!!!

Wonderful presentation and great looking ebike! Congrats! However, ALL EBIKES need to come with HYDRAULIC BRAKES! It's not much more to add them and provides an increasingly better stopping performance. Hopefully Engwe will improve upon that, even if they have to increase the price a small amount. ⚡⚡⚡
Is Super 73 robbing us? I would say yes and no it's a little more complicated. Part of it comes down to the price of components though. In all fairness Super 73 does use name brand components on all their bikes most smaller companies use no name brand compounds that are more cost effective so they can sell their bikes at a lower cost. Super 73 also manufactures all of their bikes in California which would explain the very high price of their bikes. Most brands do not manufacture their bikes in the US most are outsourced manufactured in China as it's a lot cheaper. This is why most companies can offer a better price/value compared to Super 73. With all that being said the problem with Super 73 today is they are just not innovating the way their competitors are. They seem to have gotten fat and complacent their "new' Adventure Series line up is just a rehash of all of their old bikes with slight tweaks. Their lineup is stale and outdated compared to what their competitors have been putting out. I would rather Super 73 outsource some of their manufacturing so they can get the price down as $4000 for their RX model is insane . Manufacturing aside the reality is other brands are offering bikes that offer much more at a lower price point in regards to performance and value and this is even more important today as many people just don't have as much cash in their pockets due to the world economic situation. Could Super 73 sell their bikes at a lower cost? I think so will they not likely but if inflation gets worse as it's expected to Super 73 may have no choice as many people will go with more affordable options.
Hi Brent, excellent points! I didn’t consider Super73s being built in the US. Totally makes sense why their prices are bloated. Performance and specs aside, no company has been able to match or exceed the overall aesthetics of the Super73 brand. Lots of imitations, some good, some not. This is a great one for the price indeed. The inclusion of a loud functional horn at this price surprised me the most for some reason haha. Name brand brakes would have been nice for sure. These feel great for being mechanical, curious how much more it would increase the price for tektro mechanicals. I’m assuming it’s more about availability than choice. Cheers!!
@@RustyRoads Hey Rusty yeah I watch a lot of your vids figured I'd way in on the subject. Absolutely Super 73's bikes have always looked great but other brands are for sure catching up to them like Ride 1 Up and C3strom to name a few.. Super 73 also has a massive brand following no one can deny that but if I where them I would be paying attention to the competition in my opinion they can't afford to rely on their brand name alone not anymore.
That Engwe is OK. What I don’t like is no hydraulic brakes, prefer thumb throttle, really don’t like throttle speed connected to pedal assist. (Max throttle speed should always be allowed no matter what pedal assist level you in except zero). Also packaging/shipping box needs to be greatly improved)
Hi I think if it's a new bike you should have took photos and sent to seller or company you might of got a little refund. But saying that these bikes are serpose to checked. To bo onist instead of mucking on I would have sent it back because other things might happen like motor issues any way if your happy good luck it's a nice bike
I did reach out to Engwe regarding the missing hardware and they did send that right out. As for the screwdriver tip wedged in the motor, I did not mention it to them to see if they would address it after this video released, however I have not heard anything from them as of yet. If I had paid for it I certainly would have submitted a ticket for support and possibly replacement. Thanks for watching! 🤘🏽🐾
Wow....beat up packaging, missing pats, stuck throttle. Bent rotor, etc My confidence is not really strong based on first impressions. Im a short rider too, have you looked into the Emove roadrunner pro for review?
Hey GD! Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll look into that roadrunner pro! Do you have it? How tall are you? Yeah man, double boxing alone could literally have prevented everything you mentioned! Hopefully they read-listen to feedback. Seems like it considering the scope of the M20 at its price point. Cheers and ride safe 🐾

About 165cm. Let us know what bike you decide on!!

@RustyRoads Thanks for the reply! Im 186cm and wondering if its not gonna be too small for me
You have to unlock it to get more than 25mph out of it bro. Maybe can get a bit over I think it is. Same as most 48v e-bikes out here. I believe it’s fairly easy too. Call the company or one of the guys on YT might a simple tutorial for it. Love the content man thank you for it all and you stay safe out there on your rides and have fun man🤟✌️
Thanks for the feedback and kind words bro 🐾🙏🏽
We did check all of the settings; it already comes with the speed maxed out, and I tried bumping the controller amps up from 20 to 25 but still couldn’t get it past 26-27. I think I need to ride with a speedometer app on my phone to see if I’m accurate or not. May just need to change the wheel size if that’s the case.
🤘🏽
@@RustyRoads Ahh ok I see. No doubt brother you make it easy to support the content when it’s always interesting. May not be top speeds and extra over the top performances out of the bikes but it’s still entertaining. Good rides good trails good information on things and e-bikes and then theres nice camera work also. We love to see Rusty too man lol But definitely thought there was an unlock on this bike but 25mph is still good in my eyes tbh. Better than walking or pedaling or not having an e-bike at all🤷♂️😂
@@d.henderson1347 thanks brother that means a ton!
@@RustyRoads Hey, if you still want to unlock it, you need to go to the Advanced Settings on the screen. First, turn on the bike, then press + and - for a few seconds until you see a P1, then press the + button to go to P3 (very important), then press the + button for 15 seconds. Now your bike can ride up to 45km ;)
Where can I buy that storage bike for the top tube?
That bag comes with the bike if you get the single battery version 🤘🏽
@@RustyRoads thank you!!
Hey Rusty. So I got mine. And i cannot get the front wheel to line up properly. Yes I can install it and adjust the brakes so they don't rub but the wheel is not centered. Can you or anyone else shed any light on this?
How long was when you ordered the bike and when was it delivered?!!!.
It took about a week to receive after it was sent. Probably less, I was out of town when it arrived.
Ride safe!
Rusty cracks me up
Same! Every minute of every day ❤️🐾
Does it have a rotation senor on the padles?
It has a cadence sensor 👍🏽
Ride safe!
Get mine in the mail tomorrow, should of got the green instead of white
@@andrewregis8709 congrats!! Single or dual battery??
🤘🏽
Around how tall are you if you don’t mind telling? It seems pretty big on camera and I hope it is because I don’t really want a kids sized bike
5’4 aka on the low end. I am on my tiptoes when I sit on it so I adjusted the front fork to lower it haha
There’s some other reviews from taller riders I believe, those should help 👍🏽
Ride safe 🤘🏽
@@RustyRoads thanks man :)
Seems like a nice bike, maybe wish the seat was a bit longer though as to fit 2 people. But the value seems exceptional
That would be great for sure! This is definitely a one person ride. Good call!
I think what makes the M20 fun and unique is the compact size. There are plenty of long moped style ebikes already.
Where are the 3 screws for the second battery???
I've read about some battery kits not including the required screws!
So sorry that happened. Send them an email, they'll act quickly based on my experience with needing the front wheel hardware.
Hope you're riding soon 🤙🏽🐾
Did you unlock the bike? It should be faster def with you on it. I was on my buddies an got it to 28 an I'm 250lbs.
I checked all of the settings and it was already set to the max speed. What tire size is set in your buddies settings ?
Cheers!
@@RustyRoads I think 24 I will find out for sure and I think mrcentraldriver shows how to change it all in his vid
@@RustyRoads in setting go to P6 and change current from 20 to 25 that changes the amps the top speed should be set already at 38 and I believe that is top speed setting. Good luck. I just ordered my 1st ebike emoko C91 it was 866$ to my door. Maybe we could ride one day I'm in NJ area. Will be stopping at powerful lithium probably in a few weeks. And going to do a 72v upgrade on my bike as soon as I can afford parts. I'm older and disabled so money I tight. I think I'm going to start YT channel to help people. Thanks and great vids keep it up
@@oldmanebikes8392 thanks boss! I did try 20 and 25 amps but didn’t notice a difference. And yes the speed was already set to the max. I think I need to compare it to a speedometer app on my phone, my tire size settings ha may be off causing a skew.
Upgrades are awesome but definitely enjoy your new bike as is, until you outgrow the speed etc. congrats btw!
I’ll announce the next time we’re visiting the NY/NJ area again. We’re back in Seattle now.
Cheers and ride safe 🤙🏽
@@RustyRoads ok thanks and yea check it with gps. That's all I'm going to use. I'm blind in one eye so I'm using a 10in tablet for my screen with gps and when I upgrade it the new controller I can use an app to see all the amps and watts and battery.
Hey bro are you still out there in Washington and with Ariel Rider?
Yep!
@@RustyRoads any new bikes they have in the works? How you liking it out there?
@@Poteluz love it out here! Nothing new this year but 2024 is looking good!
I haven't heard of this until now. I hope they get this resolved asap so you can enjoy your bike Bojan 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
@@RustyRoads thank you 🫶🏼
@@RustyRoads Problem fixed. It was necessary to enter the settings and hold "+" 15 seconds, then I got the speed unlock
Does the 2 battery make it go faster?
The second battery will allow you to maintain the top speed longer, but it won't increase the top speed. Definitely will double your range though!!
🐾
How much price of this electric cycle?
Usually around $1100-1300 depending on promotions. Direct link in the description ⚡
Why didn’t you go dual battery with it and get that extended range bro? 13 ah is fairly terrible imo dude it’s only a decent bike if you have that 26ah of riding. That 13 would have me in panick mode too much from range anxiety😂
Edit: That sticky throttle just seems like some new bike type of misfortune. Hopefully you just need to break it in after a few rides.
I asked Engwe for the dual battery version but they told me they were out of stock. No biggie as that just makes the range test easier to record 😅
I’m planning on using the frame for a project bike.
@@d.henderson1347 the M72 🔥
Once they start making this frame styles with 24” wheels, I may have a look.
Beware, I received mine on Friday with a major issue with the front fork that makes the bike unrideable. After emailing the company they are claiming they will send me parts to fix it myself with a wait time of 15 to 25 days!!!
My M20 hits 37 max. not sure why but i love it or maybe the display is off.
Gotta set yours to MPH, it ships in KPH
If you already did that then that speed is badass!!

@@RustyRoads 3 Days after i got the bike i locked my self out of it. needed a password to power On the bike. Engwe Helped me out. i went to settings and set everything max and it's set to MPH , it's my first bike so it's pretty Sweet. Thx
I Hit 37 MPH it's a beast.
@@uptownpapi25 share your settings for the world 🤘🏽 No one else is getting over 28mph
@@uptownpapi25 How did you get yours to go 37 miles an hour please tell
Wonderful presentation and great looking ebike! Congrats!
However, ALL EBIKES need to come with HYDRAULIC BRAKES! It's not much more to add them and provides an increasingly better stopping performance. Hopefully Engwe will improve upon that, even if they have to increase the price a small amount.
⚡⚡⚡
Thanks Randy! Agreed on the hydraulic brakes! Even the option to pay a bit more for the option would be great!!
Cheers and congrats on the 🐻🎉⚡️
@@RustyRoads Thank you sir! Can’t wait to see what you do with that M20! 🔥
Cheers!!
I updated the title of the video after the points you made. Thanks again! 🇺🇸
Agreed except for the throttle part 👍🏽 I prefer twist myself
bro what is your height?
5'4
if there was a trunk, that would be nice
Wow....beat up packaging, missing pats, stuck throttle. Bent rotor, etc My confidence is not really strong based on first impressions. Im a short rider too, have you looked into the Emove roadrunner pro for review?
Hey GD! Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll look into that roadrunner pro! Do you have it? How tall are you?
Yeah man, double boxing alone could literally have prevented everything you mentioned! Hopefully they read-listen to feedback. Seems like it considering the scope of the M20 at its price point.
Cheers and ride safe 🐾

I feel like you got an awesome brand new bike for free, and most people would have been so happy and screaming, but you were dead set on feeling like you were screwed and sent you 4th rate stuff. I also think you caused a lot of your problems like the rotor blades rubbing. Tell me you voted for Biden without telling me you voted for Biden.
