When I got here in NC last 2022 my salary started at $30.69/hr. I work 12hrs/day, 3x/week. Pay is biweekly. Minus taxes, minus health insurance dental and eyes( this does not include apartment rent and car loan and insurance). More or less ang pay ko every after 2 weeks $1,100 - $1,500, dependa kung ma sipag o tinamad akong mag extra shift. For a family of four (wife & 2 kids) this is living paycheck to paycheck.
Your content is very helpful to us. Question lang po, what if kung ang initial offer is 41.53? Upon arrival po ba my chance pang tumaas kung icconsider nila ung continuous experience habang nagaantay? Family of 5. Kids- 1 elementary and 2 mid school. We’ve decided to process our dependents as “follow to go” muna sana(Medyo mabigat po kasi budget kapag sabay kami). I’ve check already the link provided, and I think it’s fair offer for a new incoming nurse to the US like me. Thank you po and stay safe😊
@@WalterAlarcon87Hi, thanks for appreciating this TH-cam content. To answer your question, yes there’s a possibility that they will increase your basic salary pagdating mo dito depende sa changes ng economy. Basing on my experience they increased mine when I arrived here so it is possible that they will make adjustments depends on the prevailing wage. I think what you did is wise move for you to test the waters and establish muna bago nyo dalhin ang mga bata specially na you are family of 5.
@@nursekatchannel Thank you! Hopefully meron pang changes at mas malaking tulong po yon.. Tama po, we need adjustments muna and settle everything then we’ll see for the positive outcomes. Stay safe po and God bless🙏🏼

Hi Nurse Kat. I’m a Filipino working in Corporate sa Charlotte and I’m thinking of shifting back sa Nursing practice. We were relocated by my company on an L1B visa but have run into issues extending it. I was a licensed nurse sa Philippines but way back in 2009. I am doing research today to re-open the path of staying in the US as a Nurse and saw your vlogs hoping na may advice po kayo na mashe-share! Salamat! I can give my contact info but I don’t know papano mag message in YT 😅
Hi Franco, thanks for reaching out. I would suggest, start working on your documents to take NCLEX RN license exams and then find an employer that would possibly sponsor you for H1B visa, then EB3 later on. I am not sure though if they will be able to process your H1B or EB3 while you are still here. Pass your NCLEX RN exams and think about your next steps later.
Hi Nurse Kat, any recommended car insurance company? I am with Geico now, $394/mo charge samin for Rav4. Arrived here March 2024. We were advised by co nurses wait daw ng 6 months muna before mag switch.
