I'm the creator! Thank you so much to play it ALL and complete the whole game (also if you used the RYAN cheat eheheheh!!!) Great work and a huge thank you for your time! Support like this is precious to me!
Cool! You made the C64 do what NintenDONT! Also the sword seems a little short for such a manly warrior lol. More like a gladius than an Atlantean Sword but I suppose that's for gameplay reasons.
@@maestro-zq8gu Well it's definitely not as short as a gladius, but it is a little short. Not much though. I wouldn't have noticed it if you hadn't said anything.
Love it! As a fan of Barbarian, Golden Axe and He-Man, I approve! 🙂And what a soundtrack by Gianluca Pappalardo! Not sure if this music could actually run on a C64 but if it can, this is phenomenal.
Very nice graphics and animation. Such a pity it doesn't scroll! I thought at first it was going to be a better version of Rastan than the official version.
exactly!! (I'm the creator of the game) And Storm Warrior has been my first insipiration to create this! (I loved it when I was a child) ;) Happy you catched it!!
This is a PC game with C64 graphics and sound. It would be cool if a native game is made, either for C64, or at least C128 or another expanded machine.
And rastan, or storm warrior have fallen :) It's impressive what programers have learned about getting more from c64 20 years after it was replced. You could easily say this is 16 bit. I guess most of you could not image how good this would look on real crt (you may try reshade with crt filter to get, a taste). Pigs quest is another example of modern c64 game? Anybody know any other? You could use music from storm warrior - your music is good, but that one is great, and I think you can do it legally as abandomware? Also difficulity level would do nice - I would like to see longplay with no damage :D. Great work anyway. WIth this skill leven great games could be created on modern machines.
I actually play this game along with all others through my 28" CRT telly, nothing looks as good as a crt pic, I have my emulators through my laptop linked up to my tv using an HDMI2AV adaptor which then plugs into my tv using compoiste leads.
@@ZEUSDAZ I bought 32 crt (50 kilograms) just for old games..... until it blown (literally :P ). I would not bought it again from reasons above, and because I have discovered reshade - using couple filters you can make low res games with low color palette look AMAZING. For example metal slug antohology (made on open Bor), looks real fast and dynamic but real graphics poor.... until you use reshade and it looks like on arcade machine. Its total revolution. (and funny one because 386 + 2 MB ram oldie game, now requires decent modern graphics card)
@@ZEUSDAZ Eheheh we are working to complete the BJ Reborn Version, will be AWESOME! (but we need a bit more time cause lots of stages and new features)
Outstanding soundtrack (does the game use only a single SID?), nice graphics but a somewhat monotone/dull gameplay as far as I can judge. Happens to too many games :( Edit: f@@k me, did not read the description that this one does not run on the good ole '64. Shame.
I'm the creator. Was a lovely tribute and style exercise to me. Everibody got a PC, only few people still got a C64 to play it. (and I'm not able to program for a real c64 or I had made a porting for sure!!!) :D Sorry for the thumb down is not a fault of this channel or the awesome player who completed the video! :_ (

nice game

Any idea on the Megadrive sequel?

You did a great job! This game looks rad as hell!!
the sound of the good old breadbox is unbeaten ... man what a wonderful backgroundtrack
unbeaten indeed! last ninja II, Katakis, hawkeye and much more! still love the tunes. ❤ SID Chip is killer!
It looks fantastic and the music is absolutely beautiful
What Rastan could have looked like on the C64 back in the day.
@@lucanos34 I know, but it looked crap.
@@bsdetector6908 And broken at level 4, doing the game unfinishable...
This is awesome, how have I not heard of this one

Aw I loved this. Really well done. Shows me that there’s still potential in this game type.

Lovely music!
Absolutely brilliant 💯👌👏👏
I'm Atari guy, but I have to say, this is awesome, respect to Developers
Ace graphics!
Who knew Ryan from accounting was so buff, I really need to get to a gym and maybe buy a sword too.
the game is the video to the music lol
This a work of art.
Getting Storm Warrior vibes from level designs 😮

Excellent choice shows the world what the 64 could do
Incredible
Thought this was for C64 so i bught it.... what a dissapointment when its PC only 🥵
bellissima colonna sonora, i miei complimenti!
amazing !!!
Awesome❤
This looks uncannily like an improved version of Storm Warrion.
Does this new game run on a stock C64 or just on a PC?

I like it! And the music is fantastic.
What VST or synth did they use to create this music?
there are a few c64 vst's you can use ;-)
volgar the viking! just on the c64

Ah, what the C64 could have done if only had a multicolor mode in 320x200...!
Storm Warrior (C64) 2024
Nvidia: Now you can safely updrade.
Gamers:
its good, but Black Jewel Reborn on Sega Genesis is even better
Well it's bound to be as its a 16bit console, is it even out yet?

Could it be done on a real Commodore C64 though?
Sure, just you gotta stick to limitations ;) Game is flipscreen which makes things easier.
Look at Turrican 1 and 2. It can be done.
What is the point to do a C64 game that runs only on a PC ? Thumb down from me :(
I didn't program it, ask the developer.
