Yes he does have a lovely voice! 🙂 He's so soothing and calm as well as a really good instructor. You should check out his new book, The Art of Stamping. It's really informative and has nice pictures.
Hello, we think Matthieu is amazing as well. We love the positive feedback and we know he does too. We wil make sure and pass this along to him. Thank you!
@@RioGrande1944 Always happy to give good feedback for a great artist and teacher!! I started out trying to make stamps before anything else, can't believe I haven't found him till now!! (* special thanks to Andrew Berry for the info!! ) I've just started in smithing but soon to be donating allot of extra stuff I've bought, for the toolbox initiative , Gotta sift through my boxes of doubles/ extra. Love that idea and love to help donate for a good cause.
I have his book which is awesome and this video puts it into perspective and is easier than a class because you are right there looking over his shoulder. He is charming. More videos with him, please.
first ,i was also impressed by your jewelry that you worn on the hands, i have 2 questions /do you work like laminate? and what is the firm of the compass? that you very much
Wow... I didn't expect to stumble upon your video! This is great! Andrew Berry recently introduced your new book, The Art of Stamping, and I downloaded the Kindle version. I found it very interesting and inspirational. I'm new to jewelry making in the bench jeweler's arena so I probably would never have thought about using old files to make stamps but now I can't wait to try it out. I save and repurpose everything so I'm sure I have something to work with. Thanks for sharing your artful skills! Cheers! 🙂
A little difficult to watch because of camera angles but I was captivated by the instructor. I def had one or two “Ah-ha!” Moments. Worth watching to end.
Sure wish you would use a different color of clay to display the stamp, black just doesn't show up clear. Neat idea about the old files. Like most crafts people I have a large box of old worn files that I just can't throw away.
Is this unlisted by accident or purposely? And are there other unlisted videos available to Rio Pros? If so, where can I find a list? Thanks. Very informative video!
Hello, I was wondering if it is possible for a person to make something like this themselves. If yes. What is it called... No how does things like that. Thank you for your time
He has a wonderful voice and teaching manner. More videos from him please

Fabulous!!!! But I sure wish that I could have seen it better. It was frustrating
Is it possible to add a link to the video demonstrating annealing and hardening the stamps please?
Hello! Here is a video that reviews hardening and tempering: th-cam.com/video/uN8TmBg4aHA/w-d-xo.html

Thank you for your time
Hello, thank you for the comment. Yes, this video provides info so jewelers to make a stamp on their own.
Awesome
I'm confused. Did you just stamp a sheet of steel? Wouldn't you have had to first re-harden (temper) the tool steel that you're using as a punch?
20:17 He’s stamping onto silver here
Hard to see what he"d created
just check jewelry stamps on this website (reddirtdiva.com)or on ebay (ustools10), then you can compare handmade stamps. all made in USA.
It would be nice to show the finished stamp rather than the impression. The metal catches the light and is easier to see than the plasticine. Thanks.
Thank you for the feedback! We will share with the team.

Thank you ☺️
