Jerry - I just received your teardrop m/f stamp set and have used your 2 piece stamps before. I am using 24g. silver and the edge of the teardrop keeps breaking through on the side. Do I need to use a heavier gauge silver? Love your tools!!!
Do you anneal in between some of these blows? Also how do you straighten the metal around the pattern? Beautiful, thanks for doing this demo I had been curious how these tools work!
I'm still getting the balls stuck in the smaller deeper flowers in the plates. I actually got the very exact same tiny one totally stuck. It seems like the silver balls are either to hard or my nail sets aren't sharp enough to grab them to pull out. Any ideas?
About three weeks ago I bought a Tucker Tools shot plate from Monsterslayer. No instructions came with it and now I have a piece of sterling STUCK and it absolutely will not come out. A few people online told me I was suppose to oil the plate before using it. If only I had known that in the first place. My advice to you - when you do buy a shot plate - is to oil it immediately with 3-In-One Oil or coconut oil. (At least that's what I've been advised.) I hope one day I will get this piece of sterling out! I've tried using an awl, nail set, screw driver, freezing, and on and on.
These links don't work. But that's OK, I finally found your video that shows how to put oil on the shot plat and use a nail set. The problem is, I used the shot plate without oil (I didn't know that was a bad thing to do.) and now the silver is stuck and will not come out no matter what I do. Oh well, I just won't have that one die to use. Hopefully the others will work like they should once I put some 3-In1 Oil on them. Thanks.

This isn't Jerrys Channel. What gauge are you using If your metal is tearing its probably too thin or your hitting way to hard, try 20 or 18g
