Don't normally use a 2900 for a training bus unless training to drive the longer bus because they going to be a silver streak 707 driver for the other routes they train with the shorter buses.

Yeah they were training to be a Silver Streak driver as this trainee was going along the Silver Streak’s route

I thought of another possibility. The 1600s were NABI Brt 60ft these are 2900s Excelsior Easy Access 60ft this could of been when New And entering service so learning how to drive a new bus. NABI no longer being manufactured.

@@chrispasini5870 well there’s pretty much no difference between them, which is why operators were able to drive them the second they were ready for service and didn’t have to do any training

Whats happened to the rear wheel covers for this bus

Foothill Transit has removed the wheel covers on many Xcelsiors but I don’t know why

Probably a maintenance headache when it came to changing out the tires and for operators when they are doing they Pre-trip inspections

@@john2011jb that makes sense, but it’s only on the Xcelsiors as the Axess BRT and 42-BRT still have the wheel covers
