Mt. Sac Transit Center action

Took a trip to Foothill Transit’s new Mt. Sac Transit Center yesterday, I gotta say it was nice. Super clean nice design, great bus connections and a nice bridge for people to go between campuses. Enjoy the video :)

Not a long video, but nonetheless a good one. This video has a lot from a Greyhound bus to a codebreak at the end. 2316 is operated by Keolis but is signed up on a Transdev route and that route doesn’t go anywhere near there. Anyway hope y’all enjoy this mini video.

😍 Danny Like Your Video? It's Los Angeles!
W video
Yooo I love this 🤩
Great video
I say, the F59PH’s & the F40PH’s need to be converted to run on Bio-Diesel. You know, keep em working while also making them cleaner.
@@rottenroads1982 A few if not all of the active F59PHRs run on biodiesel
Thank you, did they get rid of the electric bus on route 291? I always got stuck in a broken down electric bus. I think this has an engine right?
Yes the electric buses are gone, this type of bus is hydrogen electric
rare footage of uk bus in usa
@@qp5448 you should see the Seattle area and their huge fleet of Enviro500 lol
Hi Southern_California_Busfan. This Danny Nai Saetern. Nice To Meet You.
Hi nice to meet you too
The loco unusually big got to be the tallest modern day loco imo
One of the original locomotives 852 I Rember it was dark blue and white
It’s the horn for me
I might be Old but I can still shove this Metrolink train 😂
Built Ford tough 👍🏼 Still working hard since 1992 the stories it could tell
Still have F1808 I believe still got most of the Nabi buses around
Thank You!
nice catch! Where is that at?
At the crossing Indian Hill Blvd, just a little bit west of Claremont Metrolink
@@alfredoacosta5600 oh ok
That looks like fun to drive.😊
We need more of these worldwide!
I drove for Foothill Transit back in 98/99. My last day was driving the 480. I was the youngest driver hired at 21 a few weeks after my 21st birthday. Being a bus driver was an interesting job but definitely not a career for me.
Nice to see British manufacturing in action
Which bus route is express bus
I'm very surprised to see them powered at the last axle instead of middle axle like other Enviro500s
Have you ever been to London and sat on buses there?
Nice
Nice catch here ls a sub
Nice to see 856 working hard!
856 is one of my favorite F59PHs so it was nice to see it on the Riverside
i saw it at los angeles union station earlier
I love the sound that the F59PH is making ! Great video buddy !
Me too, there’s just something about an old EMD leaving the station. Thank you by the way
Imagine enviros imported in UK to US
I think all American Enviros are built in the U.K. Minus the Envrio200
@@alfredoacosta5600 we know that
( a year late ), A railfan too?
Yeah, it’s been a while since I’ve railfanned, but I’m starting again with commuter trains and maybe some locals in my area
@@alfredoacosta5600 Sounds awsome!
cooool
I like how the last bus says “185 AZUSA” 1:45
Yeah it’s a codebreak, basically a Keolis bus signed up on a Transdev route
Remember the old SCRTD 9900 ones well this is the foothill transit 3100
I believe all the 3100 have a special wrap on them
I wish that was true but it’s only 3101, 3102 and 3103 that have a wrap
Don't normally use a 2900 for a training bus unless training to drive the longer bus because they going to be a silver streak 707 driver for the other routes they train with the shorter buses.
Yeah they were training to be a Silver Streak driver as this trainee was going along the Silver Streak’s route
I thought of another possibility. The 1600s were NABI Brt 60ft these are 2900s Excelsior Easy Access 60ft this could of been when New And entering service so learning how to drive a new bus. NABI no longer being manufactured.
@@chrispasini5870 well there’s pretty much no difference between them, which is why operators were able to drive them the second they were ready for service and didn’t have to do any training
Have they cleared out the homeless people at the transit center? The last time I went there there were some of them
Do you wanna see italian buses?
why did metro retire 9200-9400 series but not 9500 series. btw im glad i can still ride 9500 series
Well the 9200-9400 series were replaced by XN60, the 9500s didn’t get replaced by them which is why you can still see them
Ads ❤❤❤❤😂
oof i had 1724 yesterday. i’m ready for the rest to be retired.
It’ll be a while before they do
I often take #1715 on route 178 and 185. It’s aging but it’s still a beast
That's D st by the greyhound railroad tracks
Yeah I was there yesterday, I went to Victorville Transit Center
Why does it beep when turning? Seems stupid
It’s Electric meaning it has to make noise so people know it’s turning
@@alfredoacosta5600 Yeah, I know it's electric. I thought people looked around when crossing the street? We have electric buses in my country, and they are silent. Pedestrians are cautious if they want to cross the street.
@@ilovekorg it’s only Proterra that has this so called problem. Other electric buses don’t make any noise when turning
@@alfredoacosta5600 Nice! It reminds of some buses in New York that "talks" when turning. They go like "Bus is turning, bus is turning!" . It just seem so unnecessary. Cool bus, though.
@@ilovekorg Yeah lol, many agencies use the Bus is turning sound system
Whats happened to the rear wheel covers for this bus
Foothill Transit has removed the wheel covers on many Xcelsiors but I don’t know why
Probably a maintenance headache when it came to changing out the tires and for operators when they are doing they Pre-trip inspections
@@john2011jb that makes sense, but it’s only on the Xcelsiors as the Axess BRT and 42-BRT still have the wheel covers
@@alfredoacosta56002113 has had its wheel skirts removed. i’m so glad. i hated those things.
@@andrewwalker9960 actually? I’d like to see it one day
I remember when these buses came out and were new. Can't believe it's almost been 10 years since then. If I'm not mistaken the first batch of XN40s were the buses that replaced the last Neoplans in the LACMTA fleet.
The 2013s are already 10 years old 🤯. What took out the Neoplans were the 2013 Nabi 45C and the 2013 New Flyer XN40
@@alfredoacosta5600 Oh yeah i forgot that the NABIs 45c were still being ordered at that time. Funny too that I was riding in a Neoplan when saw the first XN40 and i was like "welp this might be the last time i will be in a Neoplan", and sure enough it was.
@@lightningblites5970 I know right. My last Neoplan ride was on the 180 sometime in April 2013. My first XN40, 5600, was in June 2013
Nice shots. I was there a couple of weeks ago
That’s awesome
Where is the other Long Beach Transit D40LF?
*All* Long Beach Transit New Flyer D40LF have been retired since 2020
@@alfredoacosta5600 If those lbt d40lf got retired, There is few Long Beach Transit buses left alfredo
@@socalrainbowuniverse2006 oh you must be talking about the GE40LF. Those are Gasoline Electric buses not Diesel buses. The GE40LF still survives
We use enviro 400 in the uk and enviro 200and enviro 300 & 400mmc
Football electric streaker ooohhh! What a streaker love the big bus😮
Is the bus an intra-city bus or an inter-city bus?
Inter-city goes through many cities including Los Angeles
@@alfredoacosta5600 thx bro
@@alfredoacosta5600 but what is the length, width, and height of this bus?
@@Akrplinn358 It’s 45 feet long, 13.6 feet tall, and 8.3 feet wide
@@alfredoacosta5600 thx broo
That’s nice but there are some Enviro 500 in Hong Kong and in UK but some UK use Enviro 400 instead of 500s
