It’s obvious the owner never raises the hood between oil changes, otherwise they’d probably clean the leaves out. Typical people, just fuel up and drive. When the sticker says oil change due… they take it in. Folks are so lucky Toyota builds bulletproof cars.
Those leaves can build up real fast- I didn't even have 2,000 miles on my 08 Yaris that was parked under redwoods that stuff came flying out the vents because the factory forgot the cabin air filter.
I don't have that problem with my 2007 Yaris because I don't live where trees are abundant (Silicon Valley), plus I keep the cowling clean. Outstanding detective work!
Owner should vacuum regularly as well as change cabin filter regularly. First time I changed my cabin filter on my 2010 corolla, mice had built a nest 🤨
Don’t ever clean or change the cabin filter and debris and leaves make their way to the evaporator core and water condensation brings down the debris into the drain pipe eventually blocking the water passage way😂 Thanks for the video.
Don't try this trick on a sunroof drain tube, as there is a high likelihood of blowing apart connections between the sunroof and the outlet. I learned to use ribbed weed whacker cord and twisting it as you feed it in, like a plumber snake.
Good information! My daughter's car was doing the same thing. I cleared the drain tube and no more problem. I also had leaking in my 1st gen Tundra, which needed the plastic plugs in the cowl area below the windshield re-sealed. Each vehicle is now dry inside!
@@robhayes5320 This link may be helpful. My problem was the plastic hole plugs that are shown when the cowl is removed in the video. The one nearest the passenger door was my problem. th-cam.com/video/oiASKPrzJUU/w-d-xo.html
Could you help me with the p2121 code on a 03 Toyota Tacoma, I already changed the tps sensor and sometimes the dashboard light comes on, thank you very much

The owner is probably a tree hugger. Lol. It's kalifornia after all.
I clean my engine bay to be nice to my mechanics. I like to leave them a nice, clean engine bay to work in.
Leaves cause rust and ruins paint. I remove them from my cars daily. They also plug up water drains in the fenders.
Did I hear a musical fruit at 6:50??
You gave it away with all the debris covering the air intake vents below the windshield lol
I loved the smile on Peters face when the water came out.

Thanks for the video.
I used this technique on my old car when i lived in northern Michigan, i lived in the country with many trees, and it solved the problem

Niagra Falls. Good job Peter.

I’m glad I ran across this my 2002 tundra has water leaking onto the floor mat also

Excellent diagnosis!! Love to learn these tricks, Peter, my friend!!
Thank you Peter. You da Man !!
Peter, did you vacuum the debris out of the cowl area?
Well done.
Huh? what was that noise @ 6:50? Any idea how long it took to plug the drain tube? A few years or many years?
Sounded like a fart to me, not surprising given Peter's self professed love of sauerkraut...
I’m guessing this is. 2010-2015? Sorry, I just heard you say 2010….
Hey Peter, it may work better if your tripod for your camera had wheels so you could move it easier. It is just a thought.
I did these at the Old shop we would near fill up a garbage can full of AC water every summer
Yeah…I know.
I knew what the problem was from the title of the video
Wouldn’t a little suction be better? It seems like if you blew air into the box, you would keep the junk in the box too.
