I still remember reading the Saga of the Space Wolves books and Ragnar Blackmane was by far an interesting interpretation of how a Space Wolf acts. Also to have Border Prince to be a voice actor for Blackmane is great, and I hope that this will be a sign that this community still stays together.

Brings me back to my brother handing me my first Warhammer 40k omnibus. I was left with wonder, amazement and awe after reading the book. I rushed to the nearest book store and bought the second omnibus and my first horus heresy book horus rising i was hooked and vowed my loyalty to the emperor. Ahh the nostalgia
There are three loyalist legions that genuinely cared for the common man. The Blood Angels The Salamaders And of course, The Space Wolves. Truly, the heroes of humanity.
Raven guard should be added on that list. The amount of things I read of them caring for the common man or being nice to them by astartes standards makes me think they are criminally underrated in that regard
I'd debate that for most Space Wolves. Most Space Wolves are monsters, they care for hero worship, killing and alcohol and usually in that order - we don't hear much about these Space Wolves because we hear about the exceptional such as Ragnar, Ulrik, Lukas, Bjorn, Njal and Grimnar. Most Space Wolves have more in common with Krom Dragongaze - they're heroic but they aren't friendly.
Honestly the MOST underrated channel out there, not just for 40k. You put in serious time, effort, and research. You cover pretty much everything that needs to be covered without going into so much detail it becomes overwhelming. Keep it up!

One of the first series I ever got for WH 40k. My Dad even loved the series its one of the few interests we have in common. He still occasionally asks if Ragnar has more books coming out. Son of Russ for life!

@@dominicmarazita6058 Even if that was the case, the Space Wolves have been sending them recruits straight from Fenris to better intergrate them into the culture they were born to. It would seem odd to me for them to set up story between the wolves and their new successors just hand wave it away to maintain an old rule of thumb.

Good choice, and I was worried you'd dropped A Border Prince as a narrator after the Kharn video. Even as a Dark Angels fan, I can appreciate Astartes that grow and make ruthlessness a virtue, rather than an excuse. I find it ironic, and I'm not sure if it's pointed out that Ragnar echoes Nassir Amit of all people. The Flesh Tearer drew innocent wolf blood, and Ragnar slaughtered an Angel.
I don't think I can properly emphasize how GOOD a video on TH-cam has to be to keep my attention for over an hour, much less two. Only you and one other creator can demand that of me without question. And I do it gladly.
What a great video, I'm not a huge spacewolves guy more of a white scars man but I see a lot of commonalities that I hadn't seen prior to this and gave me a whole new perspective. Ragnar might be one of my favorite 40k characters easily top 20 now.

Apart from the fact, that Im a true xenos fan, especially aeldari in whole, Vlka Fenrika are one of my "starting" choices to enter W40K universe seven years ago and to this day they still remained first among very few IoM forces, that I really like from the deepest grimdark of my heart. Ragnar Saga is only Black Library set of books, that I read more than ten times each book.
I was never a big fan of the space wolves but the narration of this tale has darn well changed that opinion, thanks for the hard work you have obviously put into this!

I love that they can all create content about the same topic and no two videos are exactly the same even when they make the same points they all do it in their own way. I've been listening to all of their histories of the space marine chapters and absolutely loving them.

Great video! As someone who got into 40k during 2nd edition (back when he was blonde!) Ragnar has always been a favourite of mine just wish he was a bit more of a threat on the tabletop!
I will not lie and tell you this is your best video yet, it is still miles ahead of some of the biggest 40k storytellers, and its not flawed because you did something incorrectly far from it, its just that the wolves are had to talk about with all of thier "woolf packs, woolf lords, greatwoolves" and other such nonsense, but the humming tune at the end brought a tear to my eye. Productionwise this was peak performance in every way, I cant wait for the next video where hopefully nightlords lore does your production value justice. So far Sigismund is still the king, followed by Ahriman and then Trazyn and Orikan. You are great and fully deserve your royal title!
