Longest video to date, 3 hours! I wanted to capture as much as I could of the 'Lord of Death' and it took alot of work, but it was absolutely worth it in the end. Man, the Blood Angels are so cool. Bloody hell, this voice actor puts so much *strength* into the voice, giving the impression of a transhuman. The scraping, desperate quality mixes notions of thirst too, which makes for an impressive effect. Melding poetry into a Blood Angel video is particularly fitting, but having Mephiston himself recite the poem in its entirely was especially good, and the 'my father' inflection was a brilliant idea.

I have a degree in performing arts, a specialization in voice and dialect, and have been acting since I was 12. I'm 35. Simply put: time, practice, and effort. As for where to go? Shit. Uh... Check out if there are any acting classes or teachers in your area, but be discerning. It's generally not gonna do you much good if the teacher you go to hasn't worked in a decade or doesn't have a resume worth a damn, ya know? Most importantly, have fun with it. Study emotionality, learn how people react, practice tone and inflection... And work on things you love or at least believe in, even if they don't pay much or are goofy. Paying the bills is great, but if it's the only driver in your art, you'll eventually resent it. Cheers, dude, and good luck on your path!

Mephiston is a grim reminder to the Blood Angels that overcoming the Black Rage has its own consequences and that is they will become fundamentally a different person they overcome it, and while Mephiston has prove his abilities in the defense of the Imperium he is shunned by his own brothers of the fact he his the Dark Reflection that stare back at them when they fall for the curse of their own legion.
Both of you are wrong, he and Dante are cut from the same cloth. Both are the among darkest of fates that await the Ninth, alongside Tycho and Lemartes. The Rage claims all in the end, one way or another.

I was really hoping this would get redone, not only are the Blood Angels just cool AF but everything about them is cool. And I honestly believe when the final Heresy books come out that the ending we all think we know is not correct. Also about Mephiston, some characters are OP and it just is annoying or comes off as wrong. But Mephiston it just works, like Malcador. Mephiston is OP as all heck but it fits his development and comes across a natural and a great fit into the setting, much like how Malcador was OP but it just fit.

@nigelmcgiver2275 Yeah Tzeentch already did that with the Arkio incident and also gets Antros. Khorne is also constantly after them. Corruption happens way more then other legions. The black rage suicide missions are way too convenient as a plot device to just cycle through tons of marines to avoid the issue.

I lost my father in 2022 and this was one of his favorite poems along with Desiderata. I used to read Do Not Go Gentle every morning before work years ago. I stumbled across this video and that poem brought back many fond memories and helped me continue to rage against the dying of the light. Thank you Amber King.
"If we separate our philosophers from our warriors, we will have our thinking done by cowards and our fighting done by idiots." I feel the Sons of Sanguinius exist entirely to answer that point. They are philosophers, artists and warriors all. Scholarly and thoughtful, but also capable of graceful and savage combat. Mephiston gets to show the advantage of this when he demands parlay with the Necrons. Most Astartes not only wouldn't have known to do that, but wouldn't have countenanced using that tactic. But it seems entirely natural for a noble son of The Angel. There is so much more to them than time spent on the bolter range.

I like the way you seamlessly blend classic poetry (Dylan Thomas in this case) into your videos. It's a very classy touch and gives your output a lot of emotional weight. I'm trying to do something vaguely similar with the fiction I'm writing, using the poems of Sir Philip Sidney (hence the thumbnail), and it's not easy. Keep up the good work.

Your work is so consistent in its quality compared to the constant algorithm-boosting drivel most lore youtubers pump out. Even Leutin has fallen into quantity over quality and it makes me sad. People do need to make a living though. I can't blame them for cashing in on the algorithm once their work has gained community traction. Thank you for all the hours of entertainment!

I've listened to the original video and now to this one. Though I very much enjoyed the first version, this is an amazing improvement. I think i'll have to sharpen my knowledge of English as I am beginning to encounter difficulties in expressing the delight these videos bring. This is a form of art, friend. The Blood Angels would appreciate it, i am sure of it.
I would love to see Ahriman or Khayon fight Mephiston, because even though strength is interesting it would come down to a mental battle. Mephiston might honestly be stronger in raw power, but he's not nearly as mentally stable. Having possibly like half a book of a psyker duel would be so good for someone like John French to write.

My favorite part of the Mephiston lore is when he saw hive fleet Leviathan in his foresight and then said "I'M PUTTIN' MUH FIST IN" and then totally fisted them. Classic part of new 40k lore.
I fell asleep to this and in the dream my roommates walked around doing their daily routines mimicking the voices and doing the dramatic facial expressions telling this story... Washing dishes and 40K... Doing laundry and 40K... It was an extremely strange thing to see someone making coffee and serenading the appliance with boasts about the Blood God.
I was the 1000th like for this amazing video. You did a great job getting into this characters story. But when you do magnus you should do something about him as he is in 40k as his entire identity, mentality, and reason for doing what he does has changed

My favorite part of the Mephiston lore is when he saw hive fleet Leviathan in his foresight and then said "I'M PUTTIN' MUH FIST IN" and then totally fisted them. Classic part of new 40k lore.

I fell asleep to this and in the dream my roommates walked around doing their daily routines mimicking the voices and doing the dramatic facial expressions telling this story... Washing dishes and 40K... Doing laundry and 40K... It was an extremely strange thing to see someone making coffee and serenading the appliance with boasts about the Blood God.
