Wow, I have to say I found the creation of this video really daunting as I feared Lucius the Eternal was simply a one sided character. Very glad to be proven wrong and able to shine some light on Saul Tarvitz, the contrast to Lucius and what the Emperor's Children became. As some may have seen in the intro I am finally creating a Patreon page soon, after much encouragement from many of my fellow TH-camrs. I can't wait to show you all!
Yeahhhhh!!! We're finally gonna get to see your bewbs!!!! Wooooo!!! 😁😆 But nah good for you, these videos are the best lore on TH-cam, you should do full audiobooks as well, you have such a gifted voice. Keep up the good work, always a treat!
Kids in bed, Wife watching her stories, time for a beer, headphones on and listen to arguably some of the best story telling I've heard in many years. A good story teller can take us on a journey to other worlds, to new experiences and emotions, to see through the eyes of characters and make time pass without notice, a tradition begun millennia ago by our ancestors around the fire. Cheers to you my King! and to Vox in the void et el.
Merrily dancing down the primrose path to damnation. Such strength of arms married with such weakness of character. Saul Tarvitz could never be Lucius' equal, for Saul was always the better man.

Saul truly reached perfection and threw off the shackles his father had cruelly placed upon him while proclaiming that they were the very wings to help him rise to perfection.. Lucius on the other hand finally devolved completely and became nothing more than a slavering beast cursed to live for eternity as a slave to a god that cares not a whit about perfection but only to drink in the endless energies of excess until growing disgustingly fat like a plump mosquito on the verge of bursting.
Saul is who got me into the 3rd legion. In the first 5 books he shows the glory of what the 3rd could be! The last stand of the loyalist was incredible and will never be forgotten
@@TheHandofDestinyagree I know Lucius isn't the good guy, he is far from it, but still I like him. And because of this two sides of the Legion I really like the Emperor's Children and the relaationship between Lucius and Saul. This is really interesting.
Interesting. Looked forward to a Fabius Bile one at some point but this is good, Lucius and Saul aren't given much coverage and I imagine the narration can really play off Lucius being contrite with his friend, then a traitor, then the monster he becomes. EDIT: The grand quote narrator is a touch I like, the Lucius actor has a sickly manic quality which suits how he would speak. I love lore videos like this. Not just reading the wiki or recounting a short story. You add so much flavor and personality to 40k. This is the way the lore should be experienced.
One thing I respect about Lucius is that he's willing to display every single loss he's had. My man out here, a champion of chaos and he might actually have a negative KD.
God I love this channel, I found it with under 1000 subscribers and was worried it might not make it, but WH40K fans know good content when they see it, and here we are.
Splendid work as always. The juxtaposition of Saul and Lucius is such a fundamentally human story. How easily the ego plays on our ambition, attachments and competitive nature. It’s hard to stay humble when you’ve seen god and know that you are his progeny.
So sad that Lucius is often/easily depicted as the guy whose "super ability" is to lose fights and yet "survive. It's only when you dive a little into the books that you realise what a "miracle maker" he his with a sword.
Those who are blinded by pride and glory are the one who will commit any evil to achieve it. Lucian the Eternal is a monster whose pride and vanity is match by his foul father Fulgrim, and like his counterparts of the champions of chaos is he blessed by the Dark Prince to never die. In the Grim Darkness of the Far Future Lucian is monster because he is the dark mirror of ourselves who take enjoyment of the suffering of others, and the vanity and pride which we all crave deep inside.
I actually find Lucius's story to be tragic because the only way he would find peace of death is to be slain by someone who truly loves him yet he has ensured that no one could do so Simply put I pity him

Every excellent story I've enjoyed especially the Primarch story series ! I must say thanks this has been better than watching the gogglebox with the depressing news stories then to every other program on TV . I've had to discover things after getting busted up in 2009 breaking my neck and spine so I discovered you tube with it's artists of every type imaginable. Keep up being awesome! 🤪🤛KNOCKOUT ❤😊
