Big fan. Great stuff. Slight correction... MRQ1 had runes that were part of the play experience. It sucked, but technically they did it first! I suppose you could say that their take on runes was so far from the nature of Gloranthan runes that it doesn't really count. I get the impression that they said "It's called RuneQuest, so we gotta have runes, out there in the world and you have to quest to get them."
Interesting that the old Pendragon system of passions is getting a new revamping in this game. That even runes is set against each other just as passions are. That makes me wonder if, for example, the Beast Rune also makes the character behave psychologically as an animal when that rune is prevalent? Or if you become more prone to "like" undeath and the undead creatures when the Death Rune is prevalent?
I very much enjoyed the content but a higher quality camera and better framing of the picture, would have made it a lot nicer to watch! Thanks guys for the effort you're putting in to bring back this wonderful RPG!
I find it fascinating they take a concept from Pendragon, and pretend it fits Glorantha. The whole Ying/Yang thing works well in Pendragon and feels forced in RQ.
Beautiful art but waaaaaaaaaay to many rules in regards to magic & whatever dafuq this whole conversation involving your birth signs & personality is all about. D&D is simple. Your a good guy so you pick your alignment. Lawfull good. Chaotic good. Ect. I would not recomend this game for beginers. Its just a headache. Why cant runes be like they are in earthsea?
I like the idea of the Gloranthan runes as analogs for zodiac signs.
Elves are vegetables?! Perfect!!
Tasty too.... join Uz.
Honestly I don't think I understand the runes of Glorantha any better for having watched this.
Yeah. I hate to admit it, but I agree.
The way you describe it reminds me of the various letters in the Meyers/Briggs personality types.

was that the version that had disruption tied to the chaos rune?
I live very close to Chaosium HQ in Ann Arbor and I would love to get a chance to play Runequest with these guys at a local convention.

The video seems to be all about the shelf in the background. :D
Yeah, I'm guessing there's no actual cameraman, and they're relying on auto-focus. :P
We'll be improving this for our future videos. Thanks for the feedback!

Can you show how to fill out the character sheets please?
