i can remember riding the Key streetcar that ran on the bottom deck of the old Bay Bridge with my Mom when i was very young. until the quake, i never thought i would see it torn down.
Yeah say goodbye to good American Steel and the Army Corps of Engineers. The best in the world. Now we use Chinese steel that not even Chile will use as the integrity is so poor. Do you think the new Bridge will last? Say a prayer before crossing.
yea u keep a old bridge which ain't made for a next massive earthquake which has tha risk of falling completely and have a even more traffic issue in a city like San Francisco and see how it would hold out
I hate the Whitebridge the metal Bridge is so much better white bridge sucks and it’s the worst and I will destroy it then replace it with the metal bridge

Evidently, those steel truss bridges are just too rigid for a seismically active area like coastal California.
