Excellent vid..! I've a black sapphire metallic Z4 2.2i 2005, and it's certainly been looked after by myself...!
Timeless cars i say for sure.

Thanks. They are definitely timeless. I genuinely think they're better looking than the new ones...I wouldn't mind the interior of the new one but exterior definitely the old one

I do agree, and i think the first generation is better looking than the second too, but that's just my opinion..!

How much would you pay for a white 2005 Z4 2.5 automatic?

Great review. Please do a comparison between this Z4 and its closest rival, the Honda S2K. I have driven the 6 cylinder E85 Z4 2.5si and the S2K back to back. Surprisingly and shockingly, the Z4 was much better. Performance, comfort, practicality, looks and soundtrack, the E85 wins. The S2K only edges the Z4 in the 9k redline department. Otherwise, the Z4 wins in every other way.

Imagine if you drove the 3.0si, it would’ve been leaps and bounds ahead since you already had the heavy front end in the 2.5. The only step up for me is the coupe, and obviously the M but that’s silly money, although comparable to the S2000

such a good looking car for its proportions its like a concept car made reality if that makes sense

Got the 2011 metal folding roof one 11 years ago, I usually swap my cars at 5 years old.
It’s the 315 model, which means 3 litre twin turbo model with 5 series engine giving 27 mpg and I had the engine mapped 5 years ago to its 5 series official BMW limit.
This gave 1mpg more, smoothed out the torque curve and is over 400 bhp when sport button is pressed
All car manufacturers fiddle the emissions at 30, 50 and 70 mph which spoils the engine efficiency of the car, this mapping doesn’t produce any more emissions, but makes it run like it should.
I struggle to find a better sports car, big bills so far, Hydraulic pump for the roof 2 years ago £2,800, handbrake electric module £400, rear light cluster about the same, the rest has just been consumables, oil, brakes, tyres, servicing etc.
It’s a second car and done 59,000 miles

I’ve got a 2006 3.0si. I paid 15k to purchase and spent a year replacing Everything except the engine and transmission spending at least another 15k. So mines is very expensive but it’s got a new rear subframe, diff, 1/2 shafts, trailing arms, hubs, rotors, brakes, exhaust, control arms, tie rods, all bushings, control arms, shocks, springs, water pump, thermostat, radiator, expansion tank, center console, rear console, aluminum dash panels, z4m seats, a Bluetooth stereo adapter, windshield cowl, door seals, carpet and yellow top optima battery, level sensors and fog lights along with hand, finishing each and every nut and bolt. Countless hours spent. Now it’s a gem….but it was not inexpensive.

They're amazing cars aren't they!! There's no way I'm getting rid, I'll be fixing everything that goes wrong

got a 2007 M, bought it new with 6 miles on it. It's still holding strong with 62K miles. The only thing that broke was the roof, cost me about 2500 to fix. Other than that just oil changes, oh yeah brakes starting to squeak, still driving it like it's supposed to be driven.

Great video. I don’t suppose you could tell me the OME BMW part number for the front bumper rivets/fixings please?

Unfortunately I don't have that information. I popped to my local BMW dealer and they found the parts for me
