I have a 2015 and it always feels much more appropriate to think of it as an overlanding vehicle instead of something to do baja stuff on. Moderate speeds, careful line choices and a healthy respect for the mass that's getting tossed around. If you take all of that into consideration, it's pretty impressive what these things can do.
I had a KLR 650 Adventure that I had named the War Mule. Once I get my Tenere I will name it the War Elephant. Great video to show what these things are capable of.
I've got a 22, and the more I ride it, the more I understand it. You can really flog this thing! I don't do more than gravel roads, but I know now it can really hustle in the mountains. The limits are higher than you think. Looks like the same for off road :) Great bike.
Nice vid. As a pro instructor and 35 years of racing including 18 years with big twin enduros and owning an xtz myself, i may suggest a completely different posture. You are way far forward. With this bike you have much weight out front plus the 19 inches wheel demand a very backward position, even in uphills. You have to compensate the tendency to dive of the front end. Plus, you have to change the rear shock spring cause its too soft, increasing that front end dive tendency
Whelp... I'm really eyeing one of these to go to the places I won't take my FZ6R, which is into a gravel campground road lol. I was worried this might be too cumbersome "offroad" aka forest roads, wondering if I should get a klr instead... This looks a hell of a lot gnarlier than anything I was envisioning, so I think those fears are alleviated lol.

I have the ST2012. And I take this bike everywhere. I made a lot of videos about this amazing machine.
the S10 is super capable despite being heavy. it seems you enjoyed it!
Sam you gave me all the compliments on this video, but I think you ride my bike better than me!

Love seeing the ST out in the dirt. Does the owner have a channel with vids? I'd love to see more of that bike.

Yes all the electrical intervention was turned off.
Abs?! Could it be turned off?!!
@@7arkhwfyes. Center stand and run on second gear. The light will flash and you’re good. But once you shut it down it resets.
