    Thanks you for your comments! I do my best to keep up with them for the first few days after a video comes out, but due to the volume of comments on all of my videos, and to the general hustle and bustle of life, I must give up the fight after a while. If you are leaving a question four or more days after a video comes out I can't guarantee I'll see it, but perhaps one of my other viewers knows the answer and can help out. Thanks in advance to those who contribute and share their knowledge. Cheers and stay safe everyone!

    Nice to see the Super10 getting some attention. My bike is my only vehicle, groceries, dates, trips, work and play. I don't have time for bike gremlins, I don't have time for tubeless tires (going to work and having to remove the wheel and tire to patch a tube, no) I go 2 up with luggage no problem. Major service 42000kms ! This a no BS bike. Bikes are like women, some you love and marry, some you date because they're exciting but leave you poor and frustrated.😏

    ST owner here. Best motorcycle I’ve ever owned. Cruise control, shaft drive, tubeless wheels and an ULTRA reliable under stressed engine that will go 200,000 miles with proper maintenance.
    Yeah it’s not a Dualsport meant to rip through trails. I look at the ST as a touring bike that can comfortably attack gravel roads, city streets and hop curbs.

      @@IRLtrolls They are standard on the Electronic Suspension bikes after the 2015 or 2016 update IIRC. Then they eliminated the base version in the USA (2020 or 2021) and only offer the ES version so it is technically standard for the last few years.

    I've owned a '15 S10 for a couple years and have ridden from my home in the Midwest to Utah to do light BDR -type riding the last two years. It's fantastic and a genuinely great all-around bike. I really appreciate the lower tech and basic electronics. The engine is proven and seriously under-stressed. And as long as you respect the weight and choose your lines carefully, it does just fine on dirt. Even sand is doable with the right tires. Overall, the value proposition of the big Tenere really can't be overstated.

    Super Ten, 10/10 for best value and features among big touring bikes. It was really Yam's answer to GS. Cruise, TC, UBS, ABS, ES, heat grips, shaft, 200 mile range (if not abusing it). I've riden that mule through crazy storms that smaller bikes could hardly make it (one time Versys 300 couldn't keep up over 50mph due to wind so, I had to push to 85 in pouring rain from tail of group to slow it down.) I've done up to 550 miles days. It starts stretching legs after 70mph and jumps over 100 before u check speedo. Even on street tires it surprised me how good it is on dirt and even some rough trails in Big Bend. It is a hog for every day use but, it can do everything if you can handle it. It often goes on deep sale. Got my brand new 2018 for $16k USD on the road.

  • @NunyaBusiness...
    @NunyaBusiness... หลายเดือนก่อน

    I wish they sold them kitted like that at the 14,200 USD price comparison you made here in The States. They have no bags, no luggage racks, no engine guards (unless you mean the plastic bumpers on the side or the splash guard on the bottom). Just the bike with the standard center stand (because you are supposed to use when adjusting the rear electronic suspension) and it is priced at $14,500 to full MSRP at $16,299 USD, plus you'll pay sales tax and registration for whatever state/county you register the bike in.
    I bought used for this reason, because the low buzz/interest in the bike caused by the stat sheet not being best in class leads to it being more affordable in a gently used flavor. A kitted out used Super T can be had for less than $10K USD. There are more color options in the used market as well.

    The super Tenere is a road bike, any kind of road, but is a road bike. I know because I own a 2020, and I have many long distance trips on my bike. It is fantastic in the mountains. I would not and have not ridden the Super Tenere off road very much. It is a road bike, and a blast in the mountains.
    One thing I find amusing is these reviewers calling the Super Tenere under powered. How fast do you need to get up to 60? 3.2 seconds isn’t quick enough? GMAFB

    Long time super t rider. Ridden year round in Minnesota as primary commuter and across the country on long hauls coast to coast. Well over 100k miles. Have other bikes, and had an FJR. Once thought about trading for a KTM, but the super t is stupid reliable, handles well, gets me down fire roads, never misses a stitch. For my purposes, reliability is important, and though I love the KTM, thoroughbreds are finicky. I'll stick with the T. One day I'll have to replace it, but the way it runs, we'll all be electric by that time.

    I'd go for the SuperT. But that's because I'm more interested in a sport/turing bike than an ADV. Actually I'd do the same as you suggest; a Super T for my road bike and a 300-500 Japanese dual sport for off road. Closer to 300 than 500. Once you turn off the main road the lighter bike is always best.

    Your review of the Super T has impressed me!
    I ride the Tiger 1200, and it is an amazing bike. I never ride "off road" on gravel and pavement. My only complaint is the lack of dealers in Ontario. Well, actually, in Korth America.
    Like you, I have an Enduro bike in the garage, and I use thay for all of my off-road adventures.
    So, to answer your question, my preference is a big ADV paired with an enduro covers all bases.
    However, there are times that I would love to have a T7 or a Toureg, but the insurance on another road bike is too expensive for me.
    Great video.

    Honestly, that is amazing price that you have in Canada. For the same money in Europe you would find Super10 that is second hand (not possible to buy a new one), probably 8-12 years old and some mileage for sure...not even getting the boxes. If you are in the market for a shaft drive adventure bike with 19 inch front wheel (which is maybe the best combo if you drive 90% on the pavement) this is perfect deal. Even more underappreciated in this category would be the Honda VFR 1200 X Crosstourer with DCT. It comes with 15 kg (30 lbs) more but it has the DCT gearbox and incredible V4 engine. Probably a bike that will become rare classic in 20/30 years.

    • @IRLtrolls
      @IRLtrolls 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      As a Super Tenere owner I have to disagree. Depends on what generation Africa Twin you’re talking about. Brand new AT 1100 is not a fair comparison. Two completely different generations of motorcycles.
      But a 2014+ ST vs a first generation AT is a fair comparison and the ST beats it in every possible way except off-road performance mostly gained through a 21in front wheel.
      ST has tubeless wheels, cruise control and shaft drive. I just got home from a 2,000 mile trip with my buddy on his AT and his chain came off and got bent all to shit and costs us two days of ride time to get a new chain put one.
      The ST is meant to cross the planet. It’s more comfortable and more reliable than the first gen AT.
