No, you were right. This film builds something positive and has heart. You can feel that the actors, and crew gave it their all. It's beautiful. visually and in spirit, with the choice of 'Music for a Found Harmonium' helping to put the film into the next level. No, I'm not joking here, I do think this film is magical.
The message of this movie is "Be yourself". Whenever a character is trying to be something they're not then their life gets worse. Whenever a character has really accepted who they are then they find happiness.
This movie is one of those films where the first time you watched it were confused of what the hell was the plot, but grew on you to the point where you constantly found yourself quoting it to the point you went out and bought the DVD. Even after almost 20 years I still find myself quoting this film regularly especially when I see some random item inba store and whisper to my husband "I want that!"
I loved the movie instantly. I believe that those who dislike it are unable to relate. I was like Napoleon and Pedro in one way or another, and today, I am like Uncle Rico, dreaming about returning to a glorious past that never happened, a past that would have echoed until today and for eternity.
Being asked an innocent question by a 6 year old and flipping out with his response and then throwing an action figure out the window on a string had me hooked from the start
I think this is the only movie that I've ever heard before where the majority of people really dislike it upon first viewing but then falling in love with it on the second viewing. I know pretty much my entire family is in that camp. Even 20 plus years later we still quote this movie whenever we get together for dinner!
It's amazing how many films exist with intricate plots, amazing actors and actresses and endless reasons to love them and still the movie about a guy named Napoleon Dynamite and his friend Pedro makes my favorite movie of all time
When this movie came out I was in a very bad place, so now it seems to be one of my go to movies for when things get down or feel hopeless. I think that was the main mission of the filmmakers so great movie imo. Thanks for the reminder. :)
Napoleon Dynamite is definitely a masterpiece One of my favourite movies ever!!! Great work man, loved the vid Also, the colour change of the sub button from red to gray was pretty cool :)
The people who didn't like it probably either didnt watch it or watched it but didn't watch it. They missed the point of the whole movie, which is be yourself and find people who accept you; being yourself and friendship.
I fimd that "putting a gun to my head" remark offensive as i have actually had a gun put to my head. Dont worry, everything's fine now, i changed my mimd.
Actually the movie really is a masterpiece, but most people don't know that the movie is really about autism. Napoleon wasn't a nerd, he was on the spectrum, and the story of the movie was how someone like Napoleon coped with being the autistic guy in high school.
When this movie came out we honestly didn't have anything else like it. It grew in popularity because of how dumb, cheezy and funny it is. There's no way to explain it, if you know, you know.
Hey derossi, I gave it a try but wasn't retained past 1:15. As a new viewer I couldn't tell if your cheeky style was satire or incompetence. Keep trying!
I feel like this movie is a product of its time, not to say it's not a classic but I think it's something really only Xers-Millennials get. Not sure if there's anyone older or younger that would enjoy it and I'd be interested if a 20 or 65 year old said they really liked it.
21 year old here, I love this film, as do my siblings and a lot of my friends. I grew up watching it because my parents and aunts and uncles loved it and showed it to us.
I’m gonna be honest with you, man I wouldn’t go as far to say as Napoleon dynamite is a cinematic masterpiece. I mean, don’t get me wrong. It’s a good movie, but let’s be honest. It’s a coming of age story. There’s really nothing impressive cinematically about coming of age stories. And honestly, dude dissing the Godfather and Shawshank redemption is blasphemy because those films are the shit especially Godfather. I mean, it really is one of the greatest films ever made. Compared to Napoleon dynamite’s story the Godfather tells a way more compelling story way more compelling complex story that has really changed the landscape of cinema. I mean, the basic message of this movie is just be yourself. I mean we’ve already had other movies conveying the same message. I mean it’s like how many times do we need to be reminded to be ourselves and not pretend to be something that we’re not. The Godfather explores a lot of other themes and messages. Whereas Napoleon dynamite, like I said, only explores one message.
I loved this film when it first came out and still do.. So did my small circle of friends. We would quote lines from the film all the time when we were younger..so I guess you're right, stupid people Won't appreciate it.. I have an I.q. above one forty..I get this film ❤
i didn't mean what i said about the godfather and shawshank redemption don't bully me x

I would have gone with Gone with the Wind, Citizen Kane, and Pulp Fiction.
I like them all masterpieces in their own lane
The message of this movie is "Be yourself". Whenever a character is trying to be something they're not then their life gets worse. Whenever a character has really accepted who they are then they find happiness.
bow to your sensei.....BOW TO YOUR SENSEI!!

You just described my experience exactly.
LoL
I found the movie confusing and cringy till I was about halfway through, and then I started getting it. By the end of the film I was a fan.
Yep. This was me. I think I now quote it every week.
I loved the movie instantly. I believe that those who dislike it are unable to relate. I was like Napoleon and Pedro in one way or another, and today, I am like Uncle Rico, dreaming about returning to a glorious past that never happened, a past that would have echoed until today and for eternity.

Pedro's cousins are unironically great guys and they're my favorite characters
The snarky jock in the audience during Napoleon's dance scene was the crescendo. Love this film.
Brad is fucking hilarious.
"So I went and drank a glass of cold water. But it didn't do nothing." Haha my favourite Pedro quote of all time.😂
This was the movie of my 7th grade year. I had a Vote for Pedro t shirt and everything.
right on
Cool, the internet will now be sure to send you a cookie 😐
This is the greatest movie of all time
Like you said. This movie is for smart people who has knowledge of pop culture, one of a kind. Love it!
Legitimately one of the greatest pieces of American New Wave cinema to ever exist
I reckon Rico could have thrown that ball over those mountains.

I've seen it 15 times and will see it 15 more before I die.

Easily the best review of one of the best movies ever made. Incredibly well thought our for sure!

Same for me
Napoleon Dynamite is everything good about America.
😂😂 only smart people are allowed to like this film. You hit the nail on the head right there my guy
I love movies where Jamiroquai saves the day.
Napoleon Dynamite is definitely a masterpiece
One of my favourite movies ever!!!
Great work man, loved the vid
Also, the colour change of the sub button from red to gray was pretty cool :)
glad i’m not the only one who liked the colour change. highly recommend 🔥
I would love a continuation of some sort
There was a cartoon that lasted like 6 episodes and apparently a sequel is in the works.
One of the funniest movies of all time
This movie is honestly one of the best movies ever made. I’ll defend that to my grave!
The people who didn't like it probably either didnt watch it or watched it but didn't watch it. They missed the point of the whole movie, which is be yourself and find people who accept you; being yourself and friendship.
actually the best analysis of a movie i’ve ever seen
Favorite movie
This movie is a masterpiece ❤❤❤
I love these funny offbeat movies
Algorithm has blessed me today. Another Australian creator. This movie is amazing.
This film only took 400,000 to make. That's seriously a low budget even for 2004. It was the little movie that could.
I fimd that "putting a gun to my head" remark offensive as i have actually had a gun put to my head. Dont worry, everything's fine now, i changed my mimd.
The writing here is as good as the movie
So, I'm smart!? that's pretty cool
I’ve been trying to find the song used in this video… now I’ve found it!
What a wonderful video 😂 love this film
This movie was so quircky and kookie I loved it when it came out
Hold up... The Godfather and Shawshank are brilliant though.
Actually the movie really is a masterpiece, but most people don't know that the movie is really about autism. Napoleon wasn't a nerd, he was on the spectrum, and the story of the movie was how someone like Napoleon coped with being the autistic guy in high school.

For shame, you forgot to mention the greatest two scenes the chicken farm and milk testing.
Great video besides that disgraceful mistake.
Shawshank is pretty great for real though. This is a good ass movie too though
I like Rascal does not dream of Bunny Girl Senpai the live action anime.
Hey derossi, I gave it a try but wasn't retained past 1:15. As a new viewer I couldn't tell if your cheeky style was satire or incompetence. Keep trying!
Id say to give it another try, this video was entertaining and a nice silly review
Movies like these are more intelligent then the crap that is coming out
I watched this movie so confused
Yeah more d the better lol

Fun video. But "chick" is kinda sexist, bruh.
Sometimes the algorithm does ya good. Loved the vid mate, subbed and hope you do The Castle!
