I like the fact that Spike tells Buffy even the real type of horror he committed while soulless she never saw. To me, this explains a lot about not only the difference between having and not having a soul, but also his soullessness when he didn't care vs his soullessness when he thought he could and/or did care. It's clever writing without shoving the concept into viewers faces.
I love it when reaction viewers remember The First. Just as much as I love the reactions to the end of The Council.
Love how savage Spike is in this and gives warning of how badass and unstoppable he can be, I will forever love that moment at the end with him and Buffy 🤘 Awesome reaction and review as always Dakara

The first appeared in season 3. Remember Angel was being haunted by people he'd killed in the past, the Christmas episode, to make him either kill himself or buffy? It didn't care which. It was either going to remove the slayer from the hellmouth or it was going to destroy Angel and take away a champion from the powers that be. The eyeless men were underneath the Xmas tree lot?? Nothing shall grow above or below?? From beneath you it devours. The season 1 finale of Angel, Wesley reads a prophecy of a razor tooth harbringer of death rising in California but closes the book because it doesn't apply to them and it won't happen until around 2003? That's an uber vampire. A pure vampire. It was never a human. Just demon.
Those beautiful words at the end. I think it's so cool, cause I feel similarly about the show and and I know we're not alone, and it's funny, cause I've been watching and rewatching Buffy since 2003, and you're watching it now, and that's a 20 year difference, and damn this show holds up in all right ways. Buffy is forever my favorite piece of media.

@@TerryNutkins3 Oh I'm aware of that - I think that's the funniest part for me ie. that the convo ends there, despite Spike still not knowing who Tucker would be. Clearly it's the writers having a laugh!

I believe the Watchers were going to go to Sunnydale and fill in Buffy on everything. But then they got all blown up...
The First Evil showed up back in Season 3, in Amends, taking the form of folks Angel had killed in order to taunt him, torture him mentally...and claim that they'd brought him back for a purpose that he was willing to destroy himself to avoid.
They didn't need Spike specifically they needed something with enough blood to unlock the seal. Spike also happens to have information about the First so two birds one stone.
Season 7 Spike and Buffy together, once they work out the problems, become the best version of their relationship ever, and that's why I love this season. The First is a well prepared Big Bad, and despite having to work through minions, it's very effective... and it's not done yet.
Remember: it will never be your first time again, but the show is always there and everyone finds new things to love on the rewatches!
No spoilers I promise, just wanted to say not to fear the coming end of the show too much as the comics are surprisingly awesome and canon to boot, they're at least worth a lookit in between rewatches ❤
I love how since season 6 we do not have a Buffy shot ending the credits. From 1 to 5 we have that. Season 6 is a shoy of Buffybot and 7 a shot of thr first. I always thought thats because buffy died. Its like her calling really ended on season 5 and the opens reflect that

Really beginning to heat up now, with Warren appearing again to Andrew to try and manipulate him, and Quentin Travers looking for Giles too. Funny when Willow confronts Andrew and brings him back to the house, with Anya revelling in the 'good cop, bad cop' scenario with Andrew. Interesting scene with Buffy feeding the bag of blood to Spike, she did the same in S4 Something Blue, that time with disdain and reluctantly, this time we can see by her facial expressions she really cares that Spike makes a recovery. Spike and Buffy have a real conversation about feelings and her attitude to life now, we can see these are now on a different level, so much more meaningful. Great scene when Spike grabs Andrew through the wall and bites him. Xander works out that the song is 'the trigger' to Spike's behaviour. Again the way the writers are using Principal Wood, we just know there is more to him. When Spike is chained in the basement he tells Buffy of how cruel he could be as vampire, which is hard for her to listen to. However, Buffy knows deep down that Spike has changed, and gives a great speech to him telling him this. Then of course we see the Shrouded attackers break into the house, and Spike has now gone missing too. Buffy eventually make the connection to have fought them before, which she did back in S3 and realises it is The First Evil. The Watchers Council prepare to the attack, but are blown to pieces. So now Buffy is alone in this fight. Great last scene where Spike is on a type of crucifix and is bled to open the Hellmouth and the form of Buffy says 'want to see what a real vampire looks like' Another great episode Building towards the Show Finale.

Spike is gone, William is back...ofc like with Angel, William know everything Spike did
People forget that Angelus did similar things to girls Dawn's age, he destroyed his own little sister, he tormented a father with dead kids like he did with Giles and Jenny, Angelus is pure evil. Angelus didn't fight for his soul.

What else would the final Big Bad of the series be? Ever since it was introduced in season 3, people should have guessed - especially after defeating a hellgod - but it's surprising how few reactors clock it in the final scene of the final season's opener.
It's just a shame that Travers and the rest never had a chance to realise their irrelevance before they burned. I hear Azula every time I see it: "Don't flatter yourself. You were never even a player."

Apologies to Scooby, but Andrew has more lives than a cat! The vampires that are being raised are some kind of primordial creature. Stronger than a normal vampire, they become an army for the First. Don't be so quick to judge principal Wood. There is a saying about going off half cocked. Wait for his side of the story.
I know he was trying to be discreet and just slip in the order of pigs blood but I do have to wonder wtf Andrew was gonna do with 12 pork chops lmao. It pains me to think he was just gonna throw them out
