- Bent Rail BNSF Oil Train Meets CSX Train. On July 26, 2014 I was out Trainspotting to film some trains at a CSX Railroad crossing in Dunkirk NY. I saw that a train was coming. So when I turned the camera on and started filming I noticed another train coming in the other direction. So when i started filming and zoomed in I saw the rail was bent and at first it looked like the actual tracks were bent and that there would be a derailment! Luckily that wasn't the case it was a rail that a MOW crew dropped off at an earlier date. So both trains met at the Railroad Crossing and it was a really cool train meet as you can see when you watch this Action Packed Train Video.
A cool side note about this location:
The old ALCO Locomotive Dunkirk Works is juts a mile from this spot, it still stands and is the last of the ALCO plants that are still around, here is a video of it

Update! The old ALCO plant was just razed, work started in July 2018 to tear it down and they are completing that process as of 10/31/18.
Newest Update: 11/21/19 The new Ice cream Storage Freezer has been completed at the site of the former Brooks ALCO Locomotive plant

About 20-25 years ago I was walking near the rails where I lived at the time and saw that rail crews were scraping the old rails that they had taken off. I asked the man there who was cutting the rails up into smaller sections if could I get a section so, he cut a section out and gave it to me. I walked it all the way home carrying it in a couple of bags. I used it as an anvil.
Can’t believe that this was the first train video I ever watched… when I was in kindergarten, and now I’m a freshman. WOW, how time flies huh?

Damn it man, looks like they need to do some serious track work through out that whole place, I see that they have track laid out but the way that freight train was rocking back an forth scary.!!!
The video was made back in 2014. Im sure the rail been laid. I'm sure the switch been tamped alone with ties being replaced.

Have you ever seen an really old Train where even the mail got put on those hangers for trains that caught them for the mail to get forward to wherever it got dropped off? Those were the good ole days. Johnny

👏👏👏👏This is a good one I really like how to train can go side-by-side at such high speed. I also think it’s pretty cool how they can have double-deckers on top of a platform. When I look to the left in the video, I saw the wobbly track so I thought I don’t know could this be a disaster?!😳😆👍

Wide World of Trains the horn on the BNSF train was a little bit awkward but the horn on the CSX was amazing
Hi I’m still quite new to trains but why is there a ferromex locomotive coupled up to an American train? Was it sold or was it borrowed.
Canadian and Mexican trains are standardized just like US ones, so they work just fine coupled up with US trains. This one is borrowed I think.
Is that crude oil? Processed? Or ethanol?
