QT loves throwing events, Swell is an event attendance perspective expert: she needs to hire you as a consultant from a guest experience perspective if she does do seats next!
Swell is the EAP! I love that. Event Attendance Perspective expert sounds like something she should put on a business card. Heck get that on a t-shirt!
They should collab for planning the next event like a documentary type series. "We planned a thing, in case you have to"
based on the fact that qt know about her and was listening i think that's actually a possibility
qt said she might not sell tickets next year, and also doesn’t want to invite amanda because she wants the raw review so i think hiring her would be out of the question too
People are so parasocial and don't realize the value of a critic. Swell is just as valuable to QT if she doesn't plan the event.
Definitely think the Sapphire award being awarded by the previous winner would be extra fitting.

Absolutely! A lot of the nominees this year included previous winners in most other categories, but I think the last year's winner presenting the award for this year would work perfectly with the Sapphire award.

Good idead but in reality it either wouldnt work or reduce the award to more of a participation trophy than it already is. Firstly, that would mean that a streamer technically could only win it once, which would cause complaints if a streamer clearly crushes it two years in a row. Secondly, they would end up just passing it around all the top female streamers until everyone of note has one, cos they would be thinking they need someone to present it the following year...I dunno I think it would cheapen the value of getting it.
When QT was in chat it felt like a business meeting between QT and Amanda
Definetly prefer YT only reviews. It was fun watching chat on screen but I feel the recorded revies are more fun and comprehensive in a way and you can speak without getting interrupted.
I think for something where twitch/streaming culture is very relevant, like the Streamer Awards, having chat provide input is great, but having edited in add ons makes it better.

It's only for videos that have a repeat event, like she said in the beginning. I doubt there will be many of these since Amanda likes new events so much :) Personally I don't mind but I get it

QT is a crazy hard worker, like obviously some streamers do this game show stuff and that's a crazy amount of work but I feel like QT setting this up is just a whole different level of work and I'll always respect QT's grind. she kills it and I hope this event has a long life.

This guy keeps coming back under different profiles for a 22 second clip. It's always the same title and the same thumbnail. I know, I've reported his channel directly so many times.
I feel like seeing all of these people irl would just ruin it for me. I still like to imagine that you're all 6 inches tall, living in model homes that are built to scale, with the camera zoomed in all far.

Wild to me that Amanda is able to just rattle off a video like this live. I couldn't imagine doing something like this without splicing together like 20 takes. Off the dome is impressive, especially with QT running interference lol.

hey swell! glad you’re enjoying streaming but i think the biggest thing that was a little jarring was the lavender border around your camera, it felt like it was often fighting for my attention alongside the dark green background, either reducing the border or changing the color may help the new format work more
I think the biggest thing is definitely trying to move this to Q4 in order to benefit from the Ad revenue and sponsor money, that alone would help immensely with paying it off with maybe even less sponsors, just higher pay. Definitely the best produced year so far stream wise with only the Legacy Award having that unfortunate audio moment. I tuned in the second the Going Live Notification hit and left only after the credits, it was a blast and the post-award streams with everyone's stories meeting each other and high praise in an industry that so many times is so toxic and drama filled is a breath of fresh air. It's exactly why QT does these events, to get everyone together and be friends for a couple of months between nominations, voting and show, and why the viewers love watching it.
The saving grace of the streaming space, getting everyone together one event at a time!
That can cut both ways though if venues are also booked more in Q4 and charge higher rates. That goes for other services like catering too, Q4 is busy for just about everyone.
A shoutout and a word of appreciation for William for slowing down his comment screens so that they can actualy be read without slowing down the video to .25 just to be able to pause at the right time to be able to read them. what, yes I'm one of those people >_> if you put something like that into a video, I want to see what it is!

Proud that you made Twitch Partner! But wasn't a fan of this 'streaming style' video. Chat felt distracting and the video felt more disjointed than usual. If this happens not super often, then not a huge issue, but I do prefer your past video style. Just some food for thought. Appreciate ya no matter what though ❤
Also I think having QT herself being in the chat didn't help haha

It would be neat if she did the greenscreen of a monitor of something about the event like the old times filming in front of one with a logo of the event or related thing like the old setups. Would be a neat call back.

I love this felt like a collaborative back and forth between QT and swell lol its really wholesome to see such true suggestions, open to criticism and feedback to improve the show for next year awesome on both ends
I love the way you do reviews of events. It never comes off as mean, and a lot of the things you mention are all valid. Offering ways of fixing it, instead of just complaining is also so important. You just have a very welcoming personality that makes criticisms easier to take.
I'm so glad QT showed up to your stream and had a discussion with you about it! We don't usually get to see an organizer's POV on what went down, and an explanation for some things.

Obviously the Streamer Awards are her biggest, most successful/impressive event, but over the years she’s put together/helped out with/hosted/developed/pitched in on EVERYTHING from Master Baker to Murder Mystery events to Shit Camp to a Pottery Class to Ludwig’s Roast to the Christmas Concert to the Girls’ Trip (even after it got cancelled mid-trip due to one of the girls coming down with Covid the first time around) to Ghost Hunting to Streamer Camp to impromptu Wizard of Oz to Short Film Contests to one-off Baking Contests to a Cookie Truck to getting Monster Makeup done with friends by pros to the Summer Concert and I could continue to go on and on and on.
Anytime she does _anything_ you can guarantee that she’s busted her ass to put it all together and it will show! She is genuinely in a league of her own!!
(I’m sure that you already know about all of this, for the most part at least, Amanda. I just felt the need to share it with everyone else! ☺️)

It's def not a repeat video if it's a different year, especially since QT mentioned how she's changing things up and really trying to fine-tune the event. I think a review every time to attend is worth it for sure.
I got the vibe that the critique was done with appreciation. Honestly it was done so thoughtfully with not only issues, but with suggestions, which is usual but given more completely this time. It was frankly a free consulting session!
Are you thinking of making a vod channel? Because I’d really like to see the unedited version of this but rewatching anything on twitch is torture
I REALLY hope that you could actually collaborate with QT on the next streamer awards next year.
So cool to see that QT was in chat. Having the sponsors pay for specific things makes waaaay more sense. Hope QT can start making some money from this cause it seems like a cool time. Gave you a follow on twitch. (Obligatory request for more ghost/cryptid/alien content.)
I think you mentioned some great points from an attendants perspective, however as a viewer from home my perception was kinda different. I didn't mind the length because I could just lay in bed, so no sore butt :)) (although at the same time shorter runtime would be better for europe's time zones because then it wouldn't be through the entire night but rather similar to twitch viewers f'ed up weekend sleep schedules). Also I actually loved the crowd interaction because it gave it more of that connected feeling. You know, the feeling you get when you see your favourite streamers, even if it's just briefly or like in the background. I do really like QT but the appeal of the show are ultimately the people sitting at the tables.
When you said "I go in with the goal of having fun ... but I can't turn my brain off" I felt seen. As a disabled and trauma-affected person, this is me literally everywhere. I will critique everything to the point people think I hated the entire event, but I usually enjoy myself. I'm just also makjng notes of what could improve. ❤
Editor is a wine about it fan, here for it. I do love that QT was in chat, checking out everything swell had to say about the event.

It's actually interesting having you share your experience and compare it to the previous one. You're able to compare and see if changes were made, especially since this is a newer event that is going through its growing pains. I wouldn't mind you talking about the next Streamer Awards and seeing if they made any improvements/changes, and compare to your previous critiques and suggestions.
I'm a little sad they got rid of the Top Eductional Streamer
I really like your idea about previous winners presenting the awards. I think it will also hopefully prevent the same people from winning the award multiple years in a row. I think it was the strategy game category where they had the same winner all 3 years. For those less well known categories like strategy or vtubing you get more repeats because majority only know a few streamers in those categories.
I really hope you can attend next year's awards, even if it's in a smaller venue! i personally really loved the streamer awards this year and they just keep getting better every year

I honestly loved this years Streamer Awards. It didn’t feel too long at all, maybe I would like it to be cut down by like half an hour or hour at most but honestly I don’t see the need. I love the more casual bits with Austin interviewing the crowd, the musical sections (Harry Mack was eliteeee), and really everything
you were critical, but everything was like, “here’s how you could do it better because I think you could have a better time and succeed more” which might be a little harsh but also actually constructive, thoughtful, and (key) actionable; usually it’s super uncomfortable for me to watch this sort of “you are reacting in real time to me being critical of your thing” thing but part of this felt like listening in on a consultation, hahaha, not a rant review; I hope QT has an easier time making it better next year!

So she gave you something physical that you can touch! That is of the streamers. that is personal. while you can still see them in the fishbowl

Having watched live, I loved being able to watch you record and see you think up things on the fly. But the layouts work better on a twitch stream than in a TH-cam video, although it definitely fits the theme of this one! I wonder if there’s a way to record the video without the layout but stream with it. Or maybe even crop and edit the footage in a standard TH-cam format, while still having the live stream layout for the twitch stream. Could always do a twitch segment of talking about a subject before record or after upload, to have the same interact-ability with your viewers, but I assume that’s extra work.
I feel like QT and Swell would make such great friends 🥺

I know video border is for aesthetics but its also smart since twitch stream quality can compress/lower when posted on youtube but the smaller video ratio makes that less noticeable 🤯
