    The review/moc comparison videos are really cool. They really help provide a great insight and perspective on official builds vs. your designs, and it's just cool to see how different the same "thing" can be when different people design the models! Always enjoyable, 2B!

    Your n1 is the most accurate I’ve seen and I tried my best to make my own inspired by yours but there are some techniques I can’t figure out just yet, would you ever do a video on how to do the angled wings or the slanted walls along the sides of the cockpit? It would be really helpful to see the behind the scenes for those techniques (I know reading your instructions would answer these questions, i guess just showing there it clips and how would be a cool video)

      Its basically brickvaults N-1 model modded to hell or he took inspiration from it because I see some techniques that look very similar.

    • @2bricks
      @2bricks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Oh yeah, no, it’s very very different than that model. It has some aesthetic similarities on the surface because it’s the same scale but there’s virtually nothing similar about the models at all.

    I personally modified my N-1 Lego set to take the proportions down a bit and give it more accurate detailing and I think I managed quite well actually.
    I always thought the body and wings were way too long and plain looking on the official set, although I do like the engines and everything from the cockpit backwards.

  • @stairmasternem
    @stairmasternem 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I like the official set but it’s really big. I have it sitting next to my Razor Crest and it’s like the same length and as wide.
    I think the dark saber should at least have that metallic dark grey hilt instead. I saw the Cantina set had those so I know they already exist. It just fits better with the real prop.
    Love the official set but I think yours scales better. Oh and you might be able to get the official to sit better on a stand with a few round plates with axle groove placed in the hollow part of the ship. I did that with my tie fighters and found that works best over using something like that square block that the engine is built on that likes to pop off.

    Very cool, love the screen accuracy, love the attention to detail and avoiding the canopy gap. Only hesitation is that when you factor in the cost of the parts list and instructions and the cost of the parts and brick link shipping or inability to get the exact parts at Lego pick a brick, often it cost more and takes so much more work to facilitate.

    • @2bricks
      @2bricks  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It’s one of the unfortunate aspects of custom building- the difficulty and cost of sourcing parts. Still hoping that pick-a-brick will eventually get much much better for this so you can order whole mocs from there without an issue. Alas.

    Do I assemble this model with the original packaging according to the instructions? or will need extra cubes.

    • @2bricks
      @2bricks  ปีที่แล้ว

      In order to build my version you’ll need to buy all the parts for it separately on bricklink! You can upload the parts list included on rebrickable, and get them that way!

  • @shaneryan231
    @shaneryan231 ปีที่แล้ว

    How does this work if I bought your package? A better way to phrase my question would be, where do I go to get the pieces or do I need to find the pieces individually?

    • @2bricks
      @2bricks  ปีที่แล้ว

      Each purchase comes with the pdf instructions and a copy of the digital model file which can be opened and edited in bricklinks free stud.io app. The parts list is already available listed on the rebrickable page before you buy anything! It lets you see an estimated cost for the parts or even just copy the parts list over to bricklink and run the algorithm and get an exact parts cost including shipping and tax so you known exactly how much it’ll cost you before you commit to buying the instructions!

    Your MOC looks the best and I feel mad about how Lego handled their design very poorly. I just want to ask for few things. If I buy the Lego one, would it help me with some parts to help building your MOC design or should I just order parts seperately online? And if I buy the Lego one, how many parts do I save without buying them from online? Hope you can answer these questions for me, love your content and may the force be with you.

    • @2bricks
      @2bricks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      thanks! I would suggest doing some experimentation on Rebrickable to find the best result - one thing you can do is create a hypothetical parts list that excludes all of the parts from the official set, and then see if the cost of those parts+the official set comes out to be cheaper than just buying all of the parts from scratch. I have a feeling it will work out cheaper if you just buy them all from scratch because the set was a little overpriced and there isn't THAT much crossover there, but its still worth checking out! luckily rebrickable is quite flexible in terms of ways to look at your parts lists so you can make these types of analysis!

    My one main criticism for your moc is the wing thickness. In my own moc, at the thinnest section, it’s about 5 studs wide, and same for the lego model. Because of how thin they are, it throws the rest of the proportions off balance for the whole model. Also, another thing, the side panels next to the cockpit look a bit large, but that’s all i have. The use of a ratchet joint piece for the motor on the top of the main chassis is ingenious, and the greebling on the engines is good too
