As in the first Lego build someone ever did? I dunno….maybe? You’d probably be better off starting with a couple of small official sets, but I always design my instructions to be every bit as clear as official ones!
Great model. I can see that a Lego version would probably be like the cad bane justifier and a big hung of plastic so not sure they’d do it given what the price might be but I’d buy it. You never know with the Andor series out next year. If they don’t do it I’ve got your MOC to fall back on.
Another beautifully designed Lego model! I might have to check how many of the pieces I already have in my collection and build this for myself. Happy Holidays/ Merry Chirstmas!
I actually own the razor crest, but I wanted an additional cockpit piece for the fondor. So I used the "damaged pieces" option in the Lego customer service. And they sent it to me for free (Germany). If Lego offers it for your country, that's one thing to at least try out.
Been slowly working on this (first real MOC for SW), and was thinking how LEGO would likely do it. They tend in most cases to favor a very flat bottom structure to increase interior volume, simplify structural design and limit parts not seen as much. I think that design style would create a very different design, one that would suffer quite a bit visually when seen at certain angles. This design is certainly premium, in that it favors outside viewing while still granting reasonable interior space. An interesting challenge would be to make a “flat bottom” variant with less detail particularly in the front to be closer to an in-house LEGO designer. This design fits more into a LEGO Ideas set or even approaching a UCS Fondor level.
@@2bricks Honestly, I think anyone serious enough to make an after-market Fondor would prefer your design every time over “flat-bottom” designs 😜. Also, if you ever get the inclination to do a premium Sentinel class shuttle I’d love to see it!
