Even back in the 80s, Perry rambled like a schizophrenic preacher on a street corner. But his ability to sing (and write lyrics) has gotten more and more questionable with every release. It’s too bad that they kept him and let Eric quit back in the day. They could have found a suitable replacement for Perry. But they never were able to replace Eric. These days, the band have become a farce. Troy it out every 10 years or so and fleece the rubes with a half ass record and some piss poor shows for way too much. Hang it up guys.
Nothings Shocking and Ritual de lo Habitual framed a lot of my early teen years and I wouldn't have it otherwise. I pray for these guys and I pray Perry resolves whatever was chewing on him. Sounds as well like wine and unresolved beef don't go together either, and Navarro pretty much treated him like a friend who'd had one too many. Also glad I went to see them in fall of 2022 with Smashing Pumpkins, you never know which show will be your last opportunity to see them again. When I see stuff like this, from my old heroes, I think 'Well - you never stop being human' and to be a human is to be an evolved monkey. If anything it maybe puts the lie to bed that you can achieve musical gnosis by listening to most beautiful songs and solos you can - particularly when these guys can sing songs that put you to tears, every night, without tearing up themselves and still end up with beef. The other part of the equation - people can have medical emergencies and end up behaving like this or blackouts as a side effect of medication (particularly scary story with the guy missing half his face on 'soft white underbelly' when he was under the influences of such a prescribed medication, jumped a police officer and tried to pull his gun, and is only alive because the police officer knew him and knew he wasn't himself), it's rare but it happens. While the wine explains a lot that was circling my head as well.

He wasn’t great either obviously drunk but not that bad I honestly hope he gets better and goes to rehab and cancel the tour also Dave Navarro announced that he’s leaving the band.

Sure they have a few really good songs. But, their boring bad songs far outweigh the good.
