I have the exact same generator, I "reflashed" (recharged the capacitor that powers the field) it with a drill but I couldn't do it by hand as seen in other videos. I ended up driving the the 110v corded drill with a second cordless drill chuck to chuck and after about a minute of spinning it finally built up enough of a charge in the capacitor to power the field and it started producing current. If that didn't work, my next step would have been to pull the capacitor and test or replace it. Large electrolytic capacitors don't last forever so it's suspect #1.
If you still have this generator and need some info. Here are the values "Ohms" for testing the stator and rotor windings STATOR. Black to white - 0.280 to 0.316 Red to white - 0,280 to 0.316 Yellow to yellow - 1.306 to 1.472 The rotor resistance "slip ring to slip ring should be around 76.0 ohms. Either slip ring to shaft aka "ground" should read OL or open. If you have continuity, rotor is bad.
Did this generator ever get fixed? I have the same generator with the same problem. Can you help me fix mine? Thanks I appreciate any assistance you can provide.

Change the coil and paste the sander to the Damper that will solve your problem
I just ended up buying another one just like it and use this one for parts

I found a brand new one and bought that.
Just watch the many TH-cam video about this. You will find your answer.
