Much obliged! We've been through OK numerous times in the past, we've also got shows upcoming in AR and TX this Fall and more being added.. You can sign up for the concert newsletter on the website www.laotizer.com, best way to stay up to date! Rock on!
Have you heard the project "Deep as the Night" ? By Chieli Minucci and Special EFX? What I like about that lineup of the Special EFX is the addition of Nelson Rangle. Both are phenomenal musicians. I feel very blessed to have seen them both in Mesa Arizona at the musical instrument museum aka the MIM. Both concerts sounded like we were sitting in a recording studio listening and it was musical perfection, if that's possible.
If this recording does not receive multi Grammy Awards for it's amazing music, recording, producing, etc, etc,...then I've never heard one that did. Without question Lao Tizer most certainly is deserving of the music industries highest honor.
AWESOME! REAL MUSIC FROM REAL TALENTED MUSICIANS AND ARTISTS! Nice touch, Lao, and Eric Marianthal on Sax! WOW The FAKE music industry of today needs to look at this kinds of music and REAL musicianship! BRAVO!
All I can say is you guys all read music and have it in your soul. And that means you are all miles ahead of the guys that cant read...not saying playing by ear is bad ...Its all a collaboration to make the world feel better. Tuned in because of Eric plays with a friend and idol Lee Ritenour. Thanks guys
Acabo de descubrir esta maravillosa Banda. ..es superior...de otro planeta ...madrugada del 20 de Junio de 2024, Chile , Sud America. , bravissimo The Lao Tizer Band...
Congratulations, great job, you are a spectacular band, great feeling, great groove, I get the beauty of end in each passage ... greetings from Spain !!!
I got this song by hazard. Honestly, one of my favourite song. You perfectly managed how to combine multiple styles in one music. I usually not really love very long song, i find it repetitive. But here there is a perfect coherence. Really thank you for this music. If you come in France, i will buy a ticket for sure
@@laotizerofficial yes indeed he is one of my favorite bassist, awesome collaboration of musicians, i had the pleasure of seeing Miss. Briggs in Atlanta a few years ago, would pay top dollar to see your band in Atlanta, Peace and Blessings 🙏 to you sir
Great tune, love it! Thanks for share it! #NOWandthen #smoothjazz
I feel like everyone in the comment section is talking about Eric Marienthal, but everyone seems to be missing how absolutely great Steve Nieves is on the Tenor Sax... That mid-piece solo is simply one of the greatest thing I've ever heard. It's "soul-healing". Honestly, I'm just discovering this type of music, but if anyone has recommandations similar to that middle part of the song, I'll take 'em!
@@Sax4Him Given your comment, I'll just assume you're Steve Nieves himself. It's all deserved. I've been trying to get into Jazz lately, and it's things like these that are actually winning me over. A lot of the jazz scene seems very "obscure" and "out-of-reach" for the non-initiated. But this was just Beautiful (capitalized "B" was intentional). Since you're the one behind this masterpiece of a solo, would you have any recommendation for me (from your own discography or any other songs you can think of)? Lastly, thank you for this experience and for giving me the desire to learn how to play tenor saxophone. I'm an electric guitar player, but as soon as I can get my hands on a sax, I'm transitioning to that instrument!
@@pluviophilius2354 Again, I'm grateful for the compliments. You should know there's a great kinship between guitarists and saxophonists as they're both capable of very similar phrasing and bending. On that point I'd suggest exploring the works of guitarist Pat Metheny. For saxmen I'd suggest something from John Coltrane, perhaps the album entitled "Ballads" or "Duke Ellington & John Coltrane". Coltrane certainly had his period of playing "obscure" but he's incredibly lyrical here. Another favorite saxophone master of mine is the great Wayne Shorter. He too has a lengthy discography but my personal favorite is "Native Dancer", a beautiful collaboration with Brazilian vocalist Milton Nascimento. I've drawn inspiration from both these musicians often. I hope you find them as moving as I do. Peace.

I won't lie, I clicked because I saw Eric Marienthal in the thumbnail, but this entire thing is amazing!
Thanks Kenny!! I'm honored to work with such an amazing crew of talented musicians!
Lao Tizer You're welcome man! You all have great musical chemistry, and work perfect together! If you ever drop by Tulsa, you can bet I'll be there!

Brewing coffee at the same time preparing breakfast, a gentle rush of music like this in a background .... Make a great morning!!!
No words-breathtaking! Didn’t know such perfection was achievable in the human realm.
Now that's a band
The Richard Elliot solo on Boys From Brooklyn is probably the best live sax solo I've ever heard.
“Down” brought me here. This made me a subscriber. 🔥🔥🔥
Same here 🔥
