- Today I'll be trying to prove CAS is king in Hearts of Iron 4 even in WW1! The Great War Redux mod for HOI4 is one of my favorite mods released so it's always a joy to jump in and play it again. Especially with tons of close air support.

I think it has something to do with the preference for the game to end wars with the scripted peace deals, so if you don't take them it becomes somewhat of a hellscape

The game wouldn't have made you cap everyone, but if you use the annex command to annex a major it makes another country in the war a major
you could do the command deleteallunits then use the command op to occupy the victory pointds to capitulate them without annexing half the world
Subs are the way to go in this mod. Almost nothing has depth charges. In fact, I don't think any ship does at the start. So they are extremely hard for the AI to kill. Never put subs in with the strike fleet... they're just wasted. That goes for vanilla and mods. And it doesn't work irl either.
Somebody needs to make a mod where Alex can’t play as Germany
I completely dominate in this mod with CAS and fighters. It's no joke how little resistance I have when advancing.
I hope the mod has a good explanation for why Emiliano Zapata is in the north and so far from Morelos.
You know what funny? I think the devs are up to something, if they debuff certain thing like for example ship, tank, and the next one is aircraft and army, if they debuff/make it harder/cost more that they worth, they could direct player to certain type of meta, and if everything are trash, then nothing would be lower than that so everything is equal = balanced
CAS is OP, if you ask me who would win in a fight, either guy with 24 40 width tank divisions or guy with only 24 18 width infantry but 3 000 CAS I choose CAS
but the tank guy woudl win if he woudl use anti air tanks

The amount of times I have had to send my armies around the globe because of people joining either the allies or the axis has caused me to nearly lose my mind
Alex, I did a UK playthrough with the WWI CAS meta last week.
The key is to build three field armies: One to garrison Belgium/France and just let it sit. Get the entrenchment bonuses and don't bother trying to go on the offensive. Give them some CAS to help them defend, but otherwise leave them to their own devices.
The second and third armies are the most important. Send most of your CAS with them, and once you research the focus "Offensive against the Dardanelles," invade Adana with one army and Iskenderun/Aleppo with the other. You'll sever the one Ottoman supply line into the Levant and cause utter havoc on the Middle Eastern front. Use the momentum to link up with Russia before they collapse in 1916/1917. The Ottomans are the Italy of WWI.

would i be wrong in thinking that instead of 'on ne passe pas' which mean we havent passed' it would make more sense for it to be 'il ne passerai pas' which means they will not pass
Actually, you’re thinking of ‘nous’ which is french for ‘we.’ “On” is actually the gender neutral/general form of ‘they’ both singular and plural in this case. So ‘on’ is the same as ‘il’ just more general.
@@poyloos4834 now i think of it it would be 'ils' and since the armies of ww1 were all men (apart from support roles like nursing) 'ils' would make more sense

It went differently for me. France and the UK guaranteed the Checz Republic, Russia never left the entente and joined the war and after some time Hungary also joined the war...
