The lyrics to this song are absolute genius. Literal poetry.
This is exactly what I was thinking now. Poetry....
🥇
Never heard till now. Think it's their best song
@@EmperorNeroxit’s Vedder’s song. I mean he wrote it.
One of PJs best!!!❤
The nineties were the best times of my life. My kids were toddlers and my wife and I were kids too. 38 years for us.
Seether nailed this cover in their accoustic show....its awesome!!!
Yes they did❤
Nothing compares to this. Sorry, seether is ok but not this good
This band, this man, this song. My heart forever.
Same
This song is a masterpiece
Listened to this probably close to 40 times in the last two days.
Me too... I love this version...
I feel you
Me too...
Been there done that
@@malihareza4754 and then I stopped....
When having a PJ binge I always include this song. Brilliant lyrics and music. Always a winner ❤
Played this on loop at my moms funeral procession back in Oct 2016...just me solo in my truck, is how I wanted it.......me myself and my thoughts...eight years later I still remember that day and this song....and happy I did it solo and not with family. Made it more memorable for me.
Certain songs are meant to be listened to alone, in solitude....this is one of them.
I sure love this setting, almost like MTV unplugged, everyone sounds great!! Jack Iron's hands and wrist and foot must hurt after this performance. I've watched this video sooo many times, I LOVE PEARL JAM FOREVER ♾️❤️🤘 love Eddie's voice, it effects me, it calms me down. 😊💓🤘👏
Bonjour Laura
This was the first time I saw Pearl Jam Live - and you're right- it's a pretty good place AND were good events, for a good cause: The Annual Bridge School Benefit concert events, at the Shoreline Ampitheatre in Mountain View, California.
It was great to beable to attend many, and to see Pearl Jam with Neil Young and his then wife Pegi, the co-founder of the school, and the many musical guests that shared the stage to benefit that school.
Please Come Back
@@sv-yh3mqhow cool that you were able to attend many shows. I would love to have been able to.
Mike McCready is one of the best lead guitarist nobody mentions.
“I want to say underrated, I want to say underrated! I’m busting at the seams to say underrated but I dare not because of how cliche it is on TH-cam. Ok, “nobody mentions, he’s the greatest guitar player that nobody mentions”. There, I did it! I conveyed my emotions without actually saying the “U” word. I wonder if anyone will notice”.
@@evanoglesby9504excellent submissions, thank you. We would have also given points for "Why is nobody talking about...?" and "Can we take a moment to appreciate..."
This is correct he shaped how I play so much influence from him
In loving memory of all our fallen stars that will always shine in the sky.
In my top ten Pearl Jam songs. This performance is stunning.
44 here and a fan since 1994; after "ten" and "vs" as muisc i was used to hear in radio, I really was glued to "vitalogy". Better man had my complete attention in loop.. but then I "felt" Immortality and it presented me PJ in another level, and it goes on nowadays with my kids :D Hope they sing it in Lisbon!
Stone Gossard at the end was brutal!!! The best interpretation of Immortality in my opinion
Just after listening this song, I came here and... You right! Love this song and happy that somebody in the world are just enjoy this song! Immortality my Friend!
He's amazing and I love that guitar
What a song, what a performance! Thanks from the bottom of my heart.
Absolute gem from the Pear Jam
Vacate is the word, vengeance has no place so near to her
Cannot find the comfort in this world
Artificial tear, vessel stabbed, next up, volunteers?
Vulnerable, wisdom can't adhere
A truant finds home
And a wish to hold on
But there's a trapdoor in the sun
Immortality
He is the only artist who I have seen just about every classic rock band still alive that has had him sing with them or sing in replacement of due to the passing lead singer! Remarkable poet. Good hearted man. Just a breed apart from the rest.
An amazing performance. It gives a ominous feeling. A true work of art by Eddie.
Epic performance!
Love it. Was at this show. Great ole days. As many places to buy pot brownies outside on way in as t shirts :-)
How awesome is that!
This was the 2nd pearl jam song I learned to play on guitar with the 1st being Cordury. Love these songs
Hauntingly beautiful!!Save my friday night!!
Saved my Monday night 🌙
Mho the best poets of 90s music
Essa música, Essa voz, Essa letra, Esse homem…
Yes. Exactly!
Adelaide Australia 1995 August ❤😊❤
I found this thanks to seethers performance of it. Both are so well done
Not a cellphone in the audience........I sure miss those concerts.
That's IT.❤🎉❤😊❤❤❤
Beautiful performance! This song is a masterpiece! ❤
Excellent version 😎😎😎
excellent performance 👏👏👏
Yep. I know I’m going to cry like a baby every time I hear this. Emotion is a good thing
Eddie Vedder is an excellent musician, because he sings and play guitar very well..not all the frontmen doing these things very well at the same time
And the man can dance!
❤The Eternal ☀️🌞💋
I am a 1997 kid but god dam this guy is a true Master of music !!!!
Last week in Zürich, great band, great evening.
Yeah, a very great song.
Great performance!!!😎😁😎😁😎😁😎

Come back pearl jam in BRAZIL please !!! 🇧🇷🤘
That was Sick!!!!
I miss his music so much I was 14 when this came out
But you can enjoy it now as much as you want…
Lovely!
My favorite Eddy Vedder song ever.
Ed has always denied the meaning behind this tune, more so about dealings with the fame, but always thought the "victims in demand for public show, swept out through the cracks beneath the door" (such great lyrics btw) was a nod about Kurt.
Seether did an amazing cover of this song.
Yes they did
See
I thought this was seether song this whole time am only 32 though lol
AMAZING!!🤘🏻
Arcydzieło!!!!
Respect
great lyrics. cigar box on the floor. kurt reference
Eddie vader's beat performance of this song and of course 11/24/2013 LA Sports arena. Thank you.
I'm probably in the minority but Jack Irons was probably my favorite Pearl Jam drummer.
I love Dave A , but i reckon jack was exactly the right guy for this band with the best sounding drums & with very tasty fills 😋
This song makes me really sad,
🖤✨
😊🙂🌟
Sun.Alanis😊❤
It’s haunting because it’s what he has ....
Cigar box on the floor (pictures form Cobain death scene)
Jack Irons on the drums..man what a line up 🙌🙌
I had no idea Norm McDonald was in a grunge band.
Some die just to life - since first day 34 years ago
I ain't been hi enough to find the trap door in the sun 😂😢
To those of you that may not know the meaning of this song, he's talking about runaways that end up being trafficked into the porn industry and becoming strung out and used up, but immortalized on film.
one of PJs best;poetic wise
🕉
Supposedly this is about Kurt Cobain I think ? ❤️✨
When you realize the one you love is a crazy 🐦
TRUE*KING*ED
🌨
🚶🏽♂️
Morissette,off course 😉🙂💓😊💓
Is that steven perkins from jane's addiction in the percution?
No it is Jack Irons, who played in the 80s with Red Hot Chili Peppers and will played with Pearl Jam from 94 (this show) to 98 (replaced after by Matt Cameron).
Is the word.......Eddie Vedder what did you heard.....cannot stop the though....
Great song and performance... about Kurt Cobain... by Pearl Jam
This song is not about Kurt Cobain
@@amywillis4287 some of the lyrics were changed after his death though
There's all these theories about the cigar box on the floor and some blah blah blah, but it doesn't hold water.
Se parece a Neil young
some die just to live
I think Dave Krusen was the best drummer Pearl Jam had. Right up to the day Matt Cameron took over.
I love Ed and PJ, but why does Ed look like he's constipated on the video thumbnail?
Artificial tears..cigarbox on the floor.😂
Here's a fresh new song! Pearl Jam Inspired

Not a fan of this visual. Like the drums but.
